Okay people, correct me if I'm wrong. Though arresting him is an extreme step, I just think it's not necessary to wear a Kirapani to uni. If it is an cultural event, then you can make a point about the police and uni bieng insensetive. But I see no reason to wear one in a normal day. I think police was right, he would have killed something, that's the terrorist attack type of something, prevention is better than cure, u can now a day do anything in name of custom of religion, like it is the custom.

Even though I'm Indian and would want to side with the Sikh student, I can't. Kirpan along with other accessories were used by Sikhs for fighting against Mughals back in the old days. There's no reason for Sikhs to be holding all these accesories now, especially at a place of learning.

I left Canada in 2019 for Uganda and couldn't be happier. I too was in that cycle of working to earn enough money, to pay my bills so that I could afford to keep working! \n\nWhen my parents were just married in 1968, they earned between them $14000. In one year, my Mom was able to save $10,000 because the expenses were so low. Then, they bought a house worth $26,000. Those days of working to save are almost gone unless you have a very in demand job.

Honest review. I lived in ontario, better say Toronto. Car insurance, rent, work life balance. The good thing is the vibe and some basic things you don't fight alot to attain, the place is vividly. Their economic policies suppress growth people struggle to beyong and you must be equipped with many relevant skills apart from degree. What gives you money in Canada is your own business, risk jobs, most importantly your money source is coming from somewhere and you just invest there in houses, etc. \nThe country is nice and alot of events in the summer, but when the winter comes is really tough and you feel limited if you don't drive, if don't know places to socialise. The minimum wage is very low until this day. In reality everyone has an individual journey, and every experience may be completely different dispite any barriers they may achieve and make their dream come true, but still it will be a very small number.

Canada has always scammed immigrants. Free Land ! in the old days and people ended up living in the middle of nowhere with nothing and freezing to death.

I can definitely relate to all of these living in Canada my whole life and working.\n\nCar accident - was recommend by the insurance to visit the emergency room. waited for over 5 hours, 1:30 in the morning I just walked out I had to work the next day.\nWork - construction designer, basically working regularly 6 to 7 days a week about 10 hours a day behind the a computer. Doing my own work & managing our other designers, and it's not slowing down.\nPay - only making like 25 dollars an hour. and I don't just design, I also help manage the construction, list the projects (welding fabrication), order the materials, as wells as doing a lot of paper work. \nBills - I'm living in the cheapest place in the entire city with my fian and sharing a car at the moment, so not to bad. But obviously if we want to buy a house or a condo I'd be looking at well over 2000 dollars a month split between our two incomes.\nGas - prices are high, carbon taxing.\nHomeless people everywhere you look, can't really blame them TBH.\nShootings and police raids right out side my apartment, literally drove through a crime scene one morning. Yet I'm not allow to own a gun for self defense.\nThree months of summer, winter storms, but I love skating and snow boarding so that's ok with me.\nWeed's legal but along with alcohol, both heavily taxed.

I was born in canada (Montréal ) and never left this country. I thought about maybe moving to Nigeria or Brésil one day. But I’m way too comfortable living here. This country is awesome. \n\nI think that those 2 woman are just boring period. They probably stay at home and do nothing. \n\nTheir is so much to do in Montréal .\n\nYou got endless festivals during the summer, outdoor activities during the winter. You have to try new things, \n\nTry skiing during the winter. Do some yoga. Learn about other cultures, salsa, meringue class. \n\nWhen you have a regular 9 to 5 you will work hard and have little to enjoy specially if you have kids.\n\nPeople usually enjoy their selves doing activities with their kids. \n\nThese woman look like they stay at home doing absolutely nothing. That would be a sad place to live, because there will come a time when you get older you need something paid for because you can't work sun up to sun down, if most of your money is going to taxes it is hard to get ahead one would have to take some money and pay for land outside of the country to have a place to go one day in order to live, but I thought that place was a part of England rule, maybe that is why taxes are so high.

I thought I was insane for telling my canadian husband about all of the things Canada has to improve (literally everything you mentioned in the video), but found myself supported by someone else's experience and perspective (yours). My country also has it flaws, obviously, but at the end of the day I would leave Canada if I could, I just can't leave my husband behind ?‍♀️ But we will figure it out. Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. Jagmeet Singh is s good leader but would Canadians vote in a person of colour with an agenda to actual help the people and the environment, probably not. It really is sad because Canada did provide a lot more for people in the past. But it’s always been a racist country unfortunately, just look at its history. \nI love this country and I see the politicians saying oh free healthcare doesn’t work while behind the scenes they are the ones not providing the training of medical professionals. They line the pockets of corporations Like the fossil fuel industry. Those are our resources. Taxes paid is our money. What you guys are actually describing is modern day slavery. This is slow moving but all encompassing socialism creeping into all aspects of life in ever increasing degrees. It’s going to get worse. You’ve not even discussed freedom of religion especially the freedom of Christians to freely practice their fate. Get out now while you still can. It’s going to get much worse. If you think they welcomed you in because they really love you, then you won’t enjoy it when reality eventually hits you.

Canada is fine but you're basically correct. It's fantastic for mousey types who want security and sameness, but if you are looking for adventure, crackle and opportunity, it's a dead end. But if you say anything, you get swarmed by moaners who hate to be criticized. The country is addicted to news articles saying it's the best country in the world LOL. I lived in the USA for many years and it is like night and day. You feel like you are building the future. Unfortunately, the USA has an utterly broken immigration system, so good luck if you want to emigrate there.

In the U.S. your vacation time depends on your employer. Very rarely are people getting a month off. 2 weeks is average, and alot of companies make you accrue days per pay period. So it can take you a full year to gain alll of your vacation time. So imagine that.
