As a non American, I cant figure out why you white Americans treat these people ( mexicans,latin americans) better than your African American brethren. There is no system in place or functional process. There used to be that you had an employer sponsor a foreign worker and he/ she would get a work permit and later apply for a legal residency status that would later qualify them for a 3 year residency green card that they would renew and after a time they can go for a US citizen status. That stoped when all the US factories left and tech came in. Now many, business, tech, or science and finance educated people get that option. ?

We are fucked. Not because of this, but because all we do is fight amongst ourselves about color, culture, gender, etc. imagine a country where we actually had meaningful discussions and found resolutions. Nope, people are too busy hating each other because of how they look. Time to wake up and realized the people actually running the world love watching this because it means we aren’t watching them.

Yeah once they cross the border they're starving they need something to drink so they go right up into people's homes and take what they want breaking in home invasions and God knows what else it's happened before what do you think a bunch of thousands of starving people are going to do mob mentality kicks in and complete chaos

I came to the US legally, paid tons of money and time go through the lengthy process, if you tried to run the border like that where I originally come from, you will be greeted with 7.62x39 AK full auto. What can these people do for Canada?

As someone from Asia who lives with a comfortable life I guess I’m privileged enough than most people who live on the other part of the world. But still, I can never understand why people force themselves illegally. They can just go through legal process, I’m sure there are other ways. This will never happen here in our part of the world. It’s easier to spot who is not one of us. If you want to move to a new country, do it LEGALLY.

It could be worse. We could be like Russia where everyone is trying to leave and NOBODY wants to enter. That’s why countries like Russia and China are going to have a population crash in the coming decades and the United States won’t. For as much as I complain about our problems here we are definitely doing some things right if people are stampeding to get in here.

Go through the refugge application properly or get sent back. You cannot tell people that they have to go through a rigourous immigration application all for this to be a loophole. \nThe Canadian government has already exploited the real estate market as a comodity to the point that people cannot afford to live where they work.

Our resources are going to go to these people. Close our borders. Monitor them with drones.

Maybe I missed it, but did they change the international requirement to apply for asylum in the first safe country you enter? Most of the people entering the U.S. and Canada should be immediately returned based on just that one requirement!
