15K is two year income in Mexico. Why is putting his kids into this terrible situation?

Why can they learn English, or the language where they what to apply for citizenship? I don't understand. There are always consequences for bad behavior or if you brake the law, and at the end only the kids suffer,

It is NOT ok to violate the borders and the sovereignty of another country just as it is not ok to break into someone's house. I am a legal immigrant, and it would NEVER occur to me to enter illegally or to overstay my visa had I been denied legal status in the US. Please go home and put your energy and intelligence into making YOUR country a better, safer place for your kids. A country is nothing but a PRODUCT of its people and their culture, values and belief system. It is YOUR home culture that makes your home country the horrible, dangerous, corrupt place that it is. Bring the western culture that you learned here home with you and work hard to shift things for the better in your home country.

And I bet the wife and kid are on welfare while he gets paid under the table. Welfare fraud.

So is he another one who thought he could just walk into any country he wants and be greated with a brass band, rockets and the red carpet? Lots of people spend thousands of dollars on lawyers for any number of reasons, but there's never any guarantee ANY case will be won. When are people going to learn to do this the right (legal) way? And these people are responsible for their being seperated from their kids, not any government agency.

Sorry. . BUT I don’t feel sorry at all for them. I’m Mexican. And the fact that they had all this money and I’m guessing the wife has free time to self care and watch the kids she could’ve atleast learned to speak English. They don’t seem to be in desperate need!! These are the typical CENTRAL AMERICAN. They seek asylum but yet have money to wear and buy things ‘poor people’ can’t afford. The lady is plumped with her dyed and make up done while the kids are fashionable and look at the car. It’s not new but that vehicle kills gas like crazy. So no!!! I don’t feel bad!

How many of our military kid, truck driver kids, traveling sales person kids, and so on. Have and do cry for their parents. Stop with the poor children. It's their parents fault. So ask him. Why are you standing in front of a bar why your kids are crying for you. How fair is it to them.

Lies! When a citizen sponsors a refugee, govt or private sponsors-- health care free you said it. Canadian don't fall for these lies, yeah after 1 year they go underground and work under the table. What is provincial social assistance? Kids go to public school if they have an address. If he's been in the US for 15 years, were his kids born in the US? That's where the loophole in the 14th amendment gets messy.

Lived illegally in the US....his kids have Ipdas ,he drives a car that looks over 20k in price but still goes to canada for a better life.....and after 15 years of living in an english speaking nation he is giving interviews in spanish .....yet he can;t conceive that the US or Canada wont just let him in.

They get 50k and then can apply for social benefits like other Canadians even though they’re NOT Canadians? Their kids go to public schools, and probably get free lunch and other things, at the benefit of tax payers. Asian immigrants are a different breed. Lived in Brampton for many years, what I don’t understand is why these people go to kids parks to hang out and get together, it’s a kids park not a fucken social club.

These Indians have dominated brampton it's annoying, what pieces me off is as you see them seated on benches in those parks it's only them... makes it uncomfortable to take our kids for play in those parks when u appear they look at you in a strange way nd swings are all occupied by their children. The problem with the Punjab community in Canada is their old men and women that crowd the parks for little kids. They sit there all day long with their scary beards, scaring the kids away. Canada is diverse, but these people thinks they are still in Indian. Indians do have culture, but the Indians in Canada are rude, disrespectful & sometimes racist. Yh I said it. tell the truth, why have them here in the first place in give them assistant,their are no jobs,no housing for them, they put them in hotels for $200 a night, every thing is free for them ,but if you are canadian you dont qualify.if your kid is over 18 in cant find work and lives at home ,he does not qualify for assistance,he has to be living else where for 1 year, what a country we live in, refugees ,have more rights then some one living in canada their whole life,this country has gone to pot,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Let Trudeau House all those refugee's in his home, with his Kid's, his Wife, with no guards or protection. As someone who is currently dealing with immigration Canada my only advice to anyone wanting to come to Canada is don't... especially if you're planning on doing it illegally and definitely don't bring your kids here illegally.. I was brought here as a kid and now have to deal with things I never planned for ... The laws are extremely strict and the chances of getting approved are low

How could you not inform yourself to the best of your ability so that you are prepared? My mother looked into everything, gave up everything, to come to Canada. It was tough, but did it so that the kids she would have would be Canadian, a country she believed in. \nI’m so proud to be Canadian, and for us to be a country that welcomes all, but those that come should inform themselves of the processes and try to learn the culture, not just have it as a ‘better life’ ticket.

Seeing his crying child on Facetime doesn't make me sorry for them. It makes me angry at him. He alone put his family in this position. He alone is responsible for choosing to be a criminal and bringing kids into the world without the security every child deserves.

I am an international student from China and I living in Canada now. I have to say not all the local people who living in here are racists and some of them will say hi to me and showed their kindness, I also meet some racists but that will not effect my opinions to Canada because my family usually to praise Canada when I was a kid and I still can feel the warm the local people bring to me. I love Canada as a Chinese and I tried to be humble and smell to everyone I meet but some of them always looking for my trouble.

I did not see “anti-Islamic sentiment” in this reportage. What surprises me most is why there is not a massive revanchist movement against Islamists - why everyday we don’t hear about mosques being burned to ashes and Muslims being beaten, killed or mutiliated. That should be the proper response to the growth of Islam - in any country.

Hello, I'm Afro-Latin and I just have one question, it's Canada a good place for black people who want to go there to live, will my kids be save of racism being black????? And at this point there is not really a place free of racism in the whole world, very often I heard that if your are black and Latino you are f....k twice, like you have to work double or triple to be recognized, it doesn't matter your skill level. I've been doing a research about which country will be better for my family and raise my kids, and log time I was thinking that Canada was the way to go but I'm not so sure now, but thing is that when you try to search, at least in youtube or google places where black people can generally live without any concerns, there is almost none. ?!

PLEASE DON'T TELL YOUR KIDS YOU ARE AWAY FROM THEM TO BUY THEM THINGS!!! They want you. And you make them responsible for your not being there like you should. Be honest with them. First if you can be together even if you have to make a lot of sacrificea that is better for them. And if not tell them in simple language that you have to work to provide food and a home to live in. I think we should help people. I’m an immigrant and my parents got their passage paid but also had to pay it back. Which we did, but still waiting for our $50,000 cheque. My Dad got a job in a town which had low rent. We were a family of five not living in a hotel but part of an army barracks. We were out in the country which freedom for all the kids. Free schooling,dental and Dr and cheep food. Where was this? You ask. Burwash, ont. A self sufficient industrial prison farm. We had a great childhood there. But the govt closed it because it was out of the way for inmates relatives to visit.

Why would that woman make her child wear a hijab at such a young age? She looks about 7 or younger, this is oppression and it should never be mandatory for kids

I’m a an American that is strongly against illegal immigrants but I think this type of man is not the one I want out. Liberals assume we hate them and are racist but we’re not. We simply don’t want our tax dollars to keep funding other people’s lives while we can’t even provide for our own people. He is a hard worker who is providing for his family. His wife and kids look like good people also. I want the US to be a stepping stone for people like him. He is working hard, earning money and ensuring a better future for his children. I'm a mom and I could never leave my kids in a foreign country. That's abuse. Countries should not allow this or encourage this behavior.
