Canada has been run into the ground by government after government for 40 or 50 years now. Every level of government in Canada serves itself at the expense of the people paying taxes. All government employees have unshakeable job security, unbelievable benefits and pensions, and a total lack of accountability of any kind. Debt has been run up over this period continuously at every government level. In spite of the huge taxes, government continues to borrow ever more money to serve itself.\nI wrote a letter to then Prime Minister Brian Mulroney decades ago asking why the government was continuously running deficits and how did he expect to pay for it all? All I got back in response was a bull$hit form letter. Now with the liberals in government you can see the bloat in government and it's spending increasing even more than under the conservatives.\nThe most frustrating thing about Canada and Canadians is that they keep voting in incompetent and spend thrift governments. It seems that in Canada the dream is to get yourself a cozy government job and just turn into a taker rather than a creator. This idea seems to be very strong in new immigrants as well.\nCanada is done. Stick a fork in it and turn it over.

This is such a biased video. If Canada is so awesome, why is it still empty? Why do immigrants move to Canada just as a stepping stone to eventually move to the US? The things Americans need to know is that our population needs to grow a lot to compete with the Chinese and India. And governments know this and prefer to have these folks come illegally because it’s cheaper labor for everyone. Only country in the world where illegal immigrants are prioritized over LEGAL immigrants who follow the law, wait years to get a visa, and pay expensive processing fees.

I’ve noticed the rise of Nicaraguan immigrants around here. One thing I’ve noticed is they have no manners, if they really looking for asylum they should get it from the first country they enter not all the way to the USA…

Go through the refugge application properly or get sent back. You cannot tell people that they have to go through a rigourous immigration application all for this to be a loophole. \nThe Canadian government has already exploited the real estate market as a comodity to the point that people cannot afford to live where they work.

Immigration is getting out of hand. It’s very frustrating that some of us have to pay crazy amounts of money to be legal in this country yet some others only walk to the border and voilà! Inside they are. ?

I had to wait 6 years to get my wife over to Canada legally. Canada needs to fix their immigration system. Why import illegal immigrants to Canada when Canadians have to wait a very long time to get their family members to Canada ? It's because the government spends ALL of the resources on illegal immigrants that's why. I found out because my sister works for Canada's immigration, but she can't do anything about it because upper management is told by the government to help illegal immigrants first. LOL

You cannot come to Canada on a tourist visa to apply for a job. You can learn about the job market, or come if you are invited for an interview by a Canadian employer, but not apply with the intention of not going back home, if you are entering with a tourist visa.\n\nIt is possible for foreign citizen young adults to work in Canada in certain sectors like tourism, but this doesn't put you on the path to citizenship. \n\nThe best way immigrate is is to learn about the job needs (like healthcare) and to get those qualifications in your country, if possible. Many times, you can read about this in the job postings on the internet. You should also avoid colleges that are set up for foreign students to get their student visa, and which don't have any Canadian students (of which there are many). The government is making it harder for these graduates to stay in the country. Moreover, if you are not well educated, you won't make enough money to be able to afford the high cost of living in a large city like Toronto or Vancouver. You would be better to be a licensed electrician or tradesperson and work in more remote areas or central Canada. Canada admits many immigrants very year, and if you are not well qualified, you will be competiting with these workers for work, with lower pay and job security, in sectors like food service and day-care.

If immigrants are trying to leave a country they spent thier life's saving to get to then you know we Americans should be worried

WE need to keep these people out. I'm in NJ and seeing this mob storm our country IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. We don't need a wall, we need an army or armed personel to keep them out - they attempt to enter at the peril of being shot out. They travel many days because they know they can just run in. As far as the 'I can't live in my country, the cartels will kill me', you need to go back home and learn a better way to deal with the cartels than running from them. Clearly going to another country is NOT the resolution. What an absolute disaster this will be for the young people of Canada. My Canadian born son is moving to the USA. There is no future for him here, especially with immigrants pouring into Ontario and stealing every job and house they can get their hands on.

The USA are a secured country, anyone trying to flee it through that illegal passage should not be considered as refugees, but as immigrants who are trying to get in illegaly. This is unrespectful to all those who are applying to come to Canada but are refused (for other reasons than serious ones). If these immigrants are asking for a better life then that’s not a problem but they should not get it for free. In Canada, all we need to do is settle them in Alberta and after one -40 Celsius winter,they will want to return to warmer countries. i am by no means against immigration but it needs to be done legally. im an immigrant myself and it took me years to get thru work permit, landing and PR. yet those\nppl can just cross the border illegally and claim asylum right away skipping the queue. that aint right...

Send them back. I came to canada in 2017 as an international student, paid shit tons of money for housing, tuition fees. Worked full time after graduation,yet my immigration process is taking long. Evey step I took went through proper screening, and yet it's taking forever. Send them back. At this point theres no gurantee for people like me to get permanent residence over here. With all the back logs etc. So why should they be granted status, while my work permit expires in 6 months and immigration officers wont bother to answer my phone calls for extension. I have paid my taxes, I have obeyed the law. I'm a law abiding citizen. At this point, I'm even thinking of going back. This country wants new talents and more people to add to their workforce. But if they treat people like me like this. Then we might as well go back.

Canada is pretty good with French immigration, the Middle East immigration and with people that are going to give something in exchange in their view, then all those people take the best and more they could and go back to their Countries. That kind of Immigration are using Canada to get the best and saying goodbye. But it is Canada's fault, too. Personally, I fed up of the system I am not white and no native French even I talk the both languages never turned to take me serious.
