Need more jobs, lesser rent/lower inflation/removal of businesses not following labor laws/proper housing/homeless housing and job directories. I dont think keeping out immigrants will really improve anything, America has always been a melting pot of sorts and was ultimately built by immigrants and still relies on their affordability of labor cost. Americans are racist and afraid that theyll be knocked off the ladder by someone that will probably outwork them, then unable to afford homing, and unable to find a job themselves. They dont want to be in Mexicos shoes, Venezuela specifically, as shown here. US population has been around 54% working; while 76% from Mexico. A wall wasnt going to fix the situation, never was -- it was a bit silly dont you think? There shouldve been more put into expanding border patrol, they obviously handle it better. And claiming aslyum has backfired: theyre over-full, lack funding, and no one can remove them because it has become a neccesarity now.\nI dont think they should be denied a potentially better way of life but this wasnt as much an option as they had hoped it be.

Our forefathers fought and more importantly died to get rid of the tyrants in our country. These people are unwilling to do the same which means they are not worthy of Americanship. If all of the millions and millions upon millions would coalesce into a fighting force men and women together they could flood and overwhelm the tyrants in their own country and created a place where perhaps after a while they could become a player on the world stage. They want to stow away not having paid for their passage to the very land that demands our own blood sacrifices to maintain. We send our young ones to the military some die some are maimed....and they are blessed heroes for it. These people have no desire to fight for liberty therefore they deserve none.

You know what I hope Mexico joins a military alliance with China and recoves what it lost to the USA. The USA fought for this, over 1,000 years of history shows that no amount of anything can stop people from crossing El Bravo, over 1,000 years. Crazy to think that i as a doctor started the paperwork to move over to America, texas to be exact. The amount of things i need to do to get there correctly is crazy. My concern is that they leave their country coming in to our country illegally. We will become a Third World country. Why isn't the government working with the countries where the migrants are coming from? A treaty or an accord should be negotiated with Mexico (even though there's almost 1 million Americans residing in Mexico), Central America and northern South America and stop this mass migration to our border! This should have been done 10 years ago. The border towns will become, are, deportation zones, dysentery, human trafficking and dead immigrants, by the US, murders from infighting or consumption. The politics of Canada are no longer 'tolerant and liberal'. We are losing our freedoms daily (refer Bill C-11). We are becoming stifled by censorship. We have a spiralling housing crisis. Known murderers are being freed after a few days on bail, leading to a far less safe social environment than we traditionally had. Our skyrocketing inflation and insanely high taxes are crushing our quality of life. The entire situation is deteriorating week to week since there is an active agenda to destroy our economy and society. I should also mention that our health care system is in a state of collapse.

From political policy, foreign policies , investment etc Canada becomes the “little brother “ of US. That is the reason of the gap between US and Canada, and that is the purposely designed result.

Canadas biggest problem is over relliance on US. If they allow themselves to trade with Asia it would be beneficial. Not only that if they stop being US bitch and let Chinese businesses in it might help them. They are playing a game where they will always loose. Canada need policies that incentivize investment from outside. Making Vancouver a tax haven (not for residential property but investments in business) if you invest in business you wont get taxed or taxes are competitively lower, something like ireland and give incentives for startups. 0% tax on startups and keeping low and competitive tax for local industry even later on would help. Vancouver has potential to become something like Singapore or Hong Kong. As of right now Canada has all the policies that discourage investment.

The price a dozen egg I used to by for 2.99 has become 4.29! That is the economy in micro level showing where the economy is shifting! Owning a home? Ha!

The US-Canada wage gap hits hard. Americans are becoming meaningfully wealthier than us on a per capita basis, all while their housing prices are significantly lower. We're not that far away from the average American making 50% more than the average Canadian. We're getting poorer and it's like no one is talking about it.

big problem with the housing is also trudeau taking in so many immigrants and refugees before having enough available housing for everybody. I think they were taking in 200k people a year. while we need atleast 1million new houses within the next 10 years in order to supply enough to the population. There was also an issue with forieign purchases where people from other countries were buying houses in canada and nobody living in them. Trudeaus votes comes from majority indian people and arabic since thats a lot of the population in canada, and to win those votes and get more hes friendly with them accepting a lot of immigrants from those countries, its not a bad thing since a lot are very well educated and their peaceful people for the most part, but the problem is there isn't enough housing. Even renting has become competitive , owning is near impossible without help. Trudeau really messed up the country, houses are riduclously expensive and they often go into bidding wars if in a good area, banks interest rates keep going up now, loans are harder to take out, sadly we need to limit the amount of immigrants that come into the country until the right number of houses are built in the country, if anything new and major cities need ot be build in other locations with jobs in order to get more people spread out around the provinces. Once there is enough houses and jobs i believe the doors should be open to whomever wishes to come (obviously with a background check) but until then there should be a limit so the houses stop going up.

In these kind of comparaisons, it's always important to keep in mind that Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. Each province and territory have their own way of doing things. So it's pretty much like 13 countries into 1. One thing in Ontario is not gonna be the same as in BC for example. So, whatever someone experiences in Ontario will not be the same elsewhere. Like taxes for example, it's different from 1 province to another. So, it's best for someone who wants to move to Canada to do their research on each province because they do things differently from one another. \n\nAlso in terms of traveling to countries that are closer, yes the UK gets a point because all the other European countries are closer. But in Canada, when you leave a province for another one it sometimes feels like you left for another country ? . Besides the US and Mexico, Canadian also go to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Brasil, Argentina, Turks and Caicos(lots of Canadian go there that at one point the island was even considering becoming the 11th province of Canada ?) .\n\nIn terms of diversity, it's not that much different from the UK. All the big cities are very diverse, just like the UK. Also, Toronto is the most diverse city in the world.

Canada like Russia and Australia suffer from the Dutch disease. Mining and agricultural assets should be taxed and the money used to diversify the economy housing should cease to be an asset class and become a choice between renting or buying.

I will agree, both my US and Canada are poorly run and have become harder to survive their governments poor decisions.
