Sad story really, but there are many other international students who get it even worse. At least Indian students speak English, have a very large support community in Canada (where pretty much every other person is from India). I only speak because I know. Try coming to this land with no English and no connections at all ...and from a small country in South America, then you really are in trouble.

Quality of studies by all these colleges is zero and students cannot speak up due to fear of being deported . It’s a mafia making money exploiting poor kids. I think this was a pretty fair assessment in general, you relied on statistics instead of just personal opinion for your rankings. That said, Quebec should not be number one. You somehow got through talking about it without mentioning the fact that it is a French province. You have to be able to speak French to live there. That’s a major concern if you only know English. As much as I want to put my home province of Saskatchewan at the top (though on a side note I think it should be higher, your main argument against it was the crime rate, but that’s just in certain areas of the province), Alberta is the best province from an unbiased perspective. Also I think this is a bit unfair to Manitoba as well. \n\nAll things considered though this is a solid list. Good job.

So I think Canada is ranked 3rd best in the world to live in (I might be wrong but it's top 5 for sure). Your speaking about nothing to do in Canada, Health care concerns, high taxes or cost of living and other things (honestly your video was just hurting my head listing to). While Canada does have issues (like any other country in the world) What you outline highlights the privileged life you are living. You are correct in pointing out that the health care system is flawed, it is not perfect by all means but AT LEAST YOU ARE GETTING HEALTH CARE. Take the stats for example (I had the privilege of going to the hospital in Texas) My bill came to 3000 for a twisted ankle. They charged me over 500 dollars just for walking into the hospital. I'm not knocking that stats, but if you do not have money, you're fucked for health care. Instead of waiting 8 hours to see a doctor, you're now on Web MD trying to diagnose yourself. You are bitching about high taxes, how do you think Schools, Police and fire services, Emergency service hospitals etc etc etc get paid? through wishes and hope? You are again welcome to go anywhere else and enjoy whatever bs they have going they might have low taxes in other parts of the world but your going to have to pay for certain services you are taking for granted here. As Cost of living, if you live in Toronto or BC yes the cost of living is high, but at the same time, the average household income is high as well. I'm sorry minimum wage in most of Canada is roughly 15 dollars an hour, and the average incoming for most provinces is over 100k. I'm not sure what else to say on that subject :D As for things to do, seriously, stop living under a rock. Please go and travel Canada, to name a few things you can travel to Niagara, Go to Banff, Visit hot springs or enjoy any of our national parks. Not to mention all the multicultural festivals that take place. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, Canada is flawed and has its issues. If anyone wants to move or visit montreal, you can very well make it without speaking french. The very vast majority of montreal speaks english as their second language. However, I still strongly recommend you learn at least a bit of french as the further you get from montreal, the less english speakers you will encounter (this can be as low as 30km away). Also, even if people do speak english as their second language, no one likes to get forced to adapt their speaking to someone who doesn't even try to make an effort to speak in the local language. So it is best if you learn at least the basics like: Hello -> Salut; Do you speak english? -> Parlez-vous anglais?; I don't speak french -> Je ne parle pas français;... And other basic sentences you would expect to say. More likely than not people will still switch to english if you know nothing in french, but usually people are more than happy if you try to speak their language and it makes for a more enjoyable experience all around.

I am from Ontario and i agree Quebec is my favourite province . I struggle with the french language despite my efforts to learn it but people in Quebec are mostly bilingual and are happy to speak English if you cant speak french

Thank you ladies for those comments, to someone who is readying this today, I am an immigrant and I have lived in three continents, EU, MIddle East, USA and Canada, \n\nCanada is the best, just be smart with your financial decisions, and dont live in Van or GTA, Edmonton and Calgary for the win, yes weather sucks for 5 months but it does everywhere. \n\nUAE is great for making money, but its all fake and holo, USA is actually pretty unsafe and I felt it before I decided to move. and EU has basically the same tax situation. Hi ladies. These are exactly the same situation here in the UK. I have been living in London since 1986 and surviving over here especially for those just arriving can be so frustrating. I often wonder why so many of our people are still struggling to come and live in these countries. I know you speak about the USA being better however I have a numbers of family and friends living in America and they are complaining about how hard you have to work in order to make ends meet. The answer to that could be the fact that many immigrants especially from Africa don't feel safe in their own home countries and bad leaders who continually fail to provide any opportunities for their youths and citizens. Thanks for sharing this vital information as many people think these western countries are paradise until they arrive and face the bare realities.

My friend called me yesterday. He said there is something important I want to ask you, but I can't talk over the phone. Let's meet at a coffee shop. I said ok, then we met and he told me he had just met a guy who runs an English school. He asked him for 1200 CAD for the complete package, which includes English level 4 and the Canadian citizenship test. Note (my friends don't speak English), so my friend accepted and left a deposit and was told he has to attend an English school for only 15 days and he will receive a level 4 English efficiency. THAT'S UNFAIR. I HAVE SPENT HOURS LEARNING ENGLISH AND STUDYING FOR THE TEST!!!!! Anyone has an idea how to stop these people??????? Who should I contact???? I live in Ottawa.
