i wish I can leave Canada. I really don't like it and depresses me to no end. I have been here for over 15 yrs

Brother I am an engineering student. I want to go to Canada for job. How to live please brother give some idea.

I lived in India because my parents did not have the money to send me abroad. I am supposed to travel to Canada in another 5days with a work permit offered from my current employer in India with a salary which is above average in Canada. As an experienced professional worked in Indian IT market for more than 7 years, I want the Indian students to know that if you are planning to work in core subjects like mechanical, civil, electrical or electronics, only then you should consider this difficult option. Otherwise in India, there is a massive shortage in the IT & Software market. With 5+ years of experience, with right skill you can earn 30-40LPA easily. So be careful before putting your life & your parents' only means of survival at risk.

Ok thats all nice and good, but you talk like Canada is synonymous with Vancouver. Canada is NOT Vancouver, we all know that Vancouver is a shit hole, but ever even been in Canada outside of Vancouver? To be fair though, yes, Canada as a whole, not just Vancouver, is becoming a narcissistic woke authoritarian society. Vancouver is isolated yes but isolated from languages other than English? Great video, and 100% true. More than anything my frustration is with hiring and for some reason why people think we are completely dumb !! Having said that I will give it some more time as I have only been here for 4 years. For most of you coming for Europe this maybe a mediocre experience, coming from my country in the state it’s in Canada is still miles ahead. I just wish people were more upfront like you guys, great example for myself is the fact that I worked for a multinational which is fully operational in Canada, they have spent thousands of dollars on my training when I worked for them but their not even open to having a chat with me to hire for a job that was 2 levels below me when I was working in Asia. Anyway as you say “it is what is it” \n\nOn multiculturalism as much as they hire you for a diversity photo on the annual report they hate it, and I have travelled to many places in my life, the only place in Canada that I feel is proper Canada is Montreal.. I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

When moving to Canada, you also need to adapt yourself and change your habits. I'm an immigrant myself and I dislike when other immigrants compare everything to their life before, they live in the past and try to export their old life in Canada. Big mistake

Sadly said CANADA is a huge mess and no longer ranked as a favorable country to live in, let alone a favorite a province. I would now call Alberta #1

Montreal rents in pretty good and in Quebec in general. Ontario is a fair bit more expensive. However even Ontario rents aren't that bad compared big US cities. Where Canada is really expensive is the cost of *owning* housing. I also don't really agree about food being more expensive in the US, I'd say it's pretty close, maybe even slightly cheaper in the US.\n\nAnd I don't think Columbus, OH would be that bad to live in. Sure, it doesn't have the big city life like Montreal or Toronto or even Vancouver, but it's probably on par with Edmonton, Winnipeg or London, ON or Kitchener-Waterloo? Maybe even like Ottawa, Hamilton or Calgary? (but warmer than all of the above).

This is Justin Trudeau's strategy for Canada too - just increase numbers of people and turn a blind eye to actual problems that people face in the system. Ripe for exploitation

Born and raised in Vancouver. No Fun City. As a Canadian, I hate both Canada and America. Also the tap water sucks in both places. Remove the fluoride for God sakes... \nAlso the amount of cocaine, antidepressants and microplastics in the water should worry you. You can test it all at home with a basic chemistry set, a microscope and a glass of your tap...\nOne more thing, Canada is almost as mismanaged as America, but the whole continent is doomed. NY has the best tap water ever. And if you want to eat junk only in the US then that's you. We have some of the best food in the world. The best restaurants (not fast food chains) in the world.\n\nFYI I go to Canada at least every year and travel to other countries and states often

Having lived in Europe and America, I do agree Canada has better food spots, you do also have better cost of living compared to California and other expensive places. I'd have to disagree with the women thing from Preach but otherwise good video.

To summarize;\nCanada has not just clean but tasty tap water, significantly lower cost of living for the same quality of life, prettier women, better city planning, but the US has better airlines.\n\nYou would think all of those celebrities who cried about how they would leave the US to come to Canada in 2016 apparently couldn't even afford a plane ticket out of there cause none of them left.

I’m an American. I live rather close to Canada and spent over 2 years in time living there over summers mostly . I love both. If you aren’t going to a grocery store you are probably getting fat in America. I find it hard to eat when I’m outside of my larger metro area. honestly I don’t worry about my security because thankfully I work hard to pay the bills to live in an area I don’t need to worry about. The cost of living in Canada can be high, just as the cost of loving in the US can be low. It just depends on location. You shouldn't use LA as your point of reference as it's (in my opinion) the worst big city in America. Canadian salaries are also extremely low, I started out at 75k USD, but the same role was only 33k CAD in Canada

I’m generally happy that I live in Canada instead of the US, but the one thing that pisses me off is the difference between our telecom companies. Whenever I watch American TV ads, Sprint and T Mobile are always offering cheap unlimited data plans, meanwhile in Canada, Rogers and Bell will take your kids from you if you go over your bandwidth

I am an American born in NY, raised in VA. I also lived in Van Nuys for a year, also lived in Texas before my job industry moved me to Canada. \ni have been in Canada for 7yrs, been to Vancouver, Toronto and MTL and to be honest i like a lot of things in Canada like the health care differences and of course the lower insulin cost for my husband but i still want to go back home. If anything i would stay in Toronto because it's the closest similarity to home but where Aba and Preach live, in Montreal, it's literally been my nightmare. I feel like the tap water at least in my area has gotten worse over time. \nOne thing i feel like they didn't mention that I have to tell people from America to watch out for is the credit card vs debit card thing. \nI grew up only having debit cards because i didn't want to get into debt. when i came to Canada i continued getting a debit card and realized the hard way that not everything accepts debit cards and you NEED to also have a credit card to access certain things.\nbut overall i do feel much safer in Canada even though the crazy trump lovers are showing up here and there it's significantly less than i see when I'm back home.

I guess this kind of goes with the whole everything being incredibly spread out, but public transit in most major cities in Canada is far more reliable than in the US.

Having been born in NY and raised in Toronto for 13/14 yrs I agree there are pro/cons to living in both. I would say that quality of life is much better in Canada. Being Jamaican I appreciated the concentration of the Caribbean diaspora in Canada. From my perspectives different cultures are tolerated in the US vs accepted in Canada.

I’ve been to Canada (Toronto, Scarborough to be exact) at least 2-3 times when I was married to a Canadian and I can say that I had very good experiences except for dealing with some of the French. Definitely a culture shock in some aspects. The diversity is very strong which is a plus. Only downsides are the gun laws and the unavailability of sweet tea (yeah I’m southern). But overall Canada is very nice.\n\nBut one thing you’re not lying about is the WATER. Different locations in the states have different tasting water. If you want water that smell like eggs then Florida is your spot. If you want fresh water, buy a water well. \n\n\nYour experiences may vary.
