Flight is so stupid in Canada. Paid 500$ for Montreal/New York. And I paid 30$ for Bordeaux/London, 20$ for Bordeaux/Malta. For people who like traveling a lot, Montreal is so restricting.

Cell phone plans in Canada are ridiculous

Quebec is completely different in rent prices, I wouldn’t believe that our cost of living in Canada is significantly better than the states.

I've considered leaving the U.S. more this year than ever, even though I really do love it. With the inflation, politics, and lack of work life balance for anyone I don't think the place I grew up in will last. Tbh I've never considered Canada, the government overreach and propaganda there seem insane to me

I lived in the Philippines for 27 years and we always lock our houses even when we're inside the house coz people (junkies, psychopaths, crazies) just force themselves inside and try to mug us for our belongings and we can't even report it because some u police are crooked, lazy and corrupt. But once i migrated to winnipeg (considered as the murder capital of Canada), i felt safer, believe it or not. I tend to forget locking/closing my garage door and once i come back, everything's still there, nothing gone, considering that i live in the north end (one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in winnipeg). Plus, everyone's just so damn friendly and welcoming. Love it here! But i still prefer living in the Philippines despite being not as safe. Home will always be home.

Cost of living may be cheaper in Canada but don't you guys pay damn near 50% taxas? The U.S. is 25-30 depending on the state... so the more money you make the more sense it would make to live in the U.S. at least financially

In 1986 I went to Toronto and was out to see a friend in an upper middle class neighborhood. Their dog got loose late one night and I was chasing it down the street…some cops rolled up and asked if I needed any help, and I said no. They left. Th at would not have happened in some white areas in Los Angeles then. They would have thrown the dog a Billy club and they all would have been beating in me! I almost moved to Canada right then!

Yo! Gave me a little flashback. I took an Air Canada plane to Boot Camp. Fuckin Prop plane from the 50's, like still got ashtrays. Plus a hole in the side of that bitch.\nAlso goes to show how broke the Marine Corps is when you're flying in America on a Canadian Airline. I don't know how they did it.

Canada actually has a higher economically mobility rating. It’s better to be poor in Canada than in America
|

I have family in Miami and that city is such a contradiction. Florida has one of the lowest per hour wages in America, yet Miami is one of their most expensive cities to live in. My sister works a salaried Florida State government job as a supervisor which would pay 6-figures in Canada, yet is only $40,000 there. That is considered a good wage there. Beyond the glitzy beaches, the poverty is nuts. But yes, America has us beat on flights! I can fly round trip to Miami, from Toronto, cheaper than to Montreal.

I’m surprised you all didn’t mention healthcare. It’s a lot cheaper in canada, however, it takes foreverrr to see someone there
|

While the cost of living is higher in the U.S., they do make more on average so I'm not sure I'd say Canada is significantly better in that regard. On that note though, it's probably better to be poor in Canada than in the U.S.

You can compare a “small” country like Canada despite the large inhabitable land mass to the BIG BIG UNITED STATES OF AMERICA… it’s disrespectful to us ??
|
| 2023-01-17 | 0 |
Regarding flight prices, you'd be right if you were talking a few years ago but there are budget airlines in Canada now. You can fly Toronto to Edmonton round trip for under $200.

Sounds like life in major cities might indeed be better in Canada, and I wouldn't be surprised. I think major cities in the US blow. I like to avoid them when possible. \n\nI don't know if I agree on the food though. You can find spots pretty easy in most places, and I have been to some serious backwaters.

Can´t speak for Canada, but it´s pretty similar to a lot of places in Europe and America. I´ve lived in the states and currently live in Germany and I´m happier here for the same reasons mentioned. Food, public transportation, safety, water quality...

I mean I can get that I guess and understand but Canada is not for me with all that stuff that's not here in the U.S.A. yet.\n\n\n\n\nIs all I'm sayin but the more I think about it long term I might change my mind.

To be honest, even coming from a native Alabamian, Canada has always been better than the United States, especially considering the difference in women.

The worst parts of Canada are the best parts of America. Toronto is getting bad but that's the closest you will get to New York and L.A. in Canada

BROAD STROKES. Been to Europe several times not to Canada yet but I feel like Canada shares a lot of culture and lifestyle with Europe. You guys are painting one of the biggest countries on earth very generally. I get it, it’s a lot to cover but you’re better off comparing individual states/cities vs Canada. Canada has a population less than California lol like fammmm. \nJust think about this… Toronto and Brooklyn (which isn’t even a city mind you) have nearly the same population…

Bro you couldn't live in a lot of other states with out a car...Try Iowa..you literally picked a state that's basically a island you could walk across...come guys...and literally it's less diverse in Canada...it's funny when people say that places are safer cause there are less POC when you are a person of color???it's about culture and how you raised... environment matters...what's the rate of single parents in Canada?...just saying Americans have issues with accountability and taking any

This video scratches the surface on the terrible place Canada has become. The silent racism part is brutal for you to say by the way, complete nonsense. But hey your virtue signaling may get you a couple of more likes.. 1 in 4 Canadians can't find a family doctor, people are dying in our emergency waiting rooms, the government calls in the police on peaceful protests, bill c-11 is taking away our freedom to view information online, bill c-21 is taking away hunting rifles, bill c-16 has taken away our freedom of speech. We are more in debt than ever, and veterans are being offered assisted suicide for ptsd. But please @Make That Change, tell me more about how the country is silently racist.

In the US, I only was allowed 5 weeks off after having my baby, because I took off about 4 days before my baby was born due to Early Labor!! I also was only paid HALF my salary. They wanted me to return to work while I was still in pain, my daughter was having swallowing difficulties which continued for 3 years, and I was having PPA! It is awful. We are moving to Canada this year for many reasons but maternity leave, childcare costs, and safety are some of the most important reasons!

To all those crying about the whole situation in Canada I suggest you pay a visit in Albania and live here for some time.A young mum throwed her baby in the river because she could not keep her and because the factory she worked for would not follow the law and give her the basic 1 year allowance for new mums.

Sir, definitely a like to the video for clear and simple format video. Its great help for a newbies. But @make it simple I have five quick questions if you could provide a little more clairty would be helpful.\n1) The account you created looks a new launched portal compared to GC Key account, if yes is it better to use new portal instead of GC Key?\n2) At 20:19 invitation letter section where it is written Canada province of Quebec(top left section of letter), if I am in British columbia would I write Canada province of British columbia?\n3) Regarding Affidavit part @25.53 did you printed affidavit on a notary stamp paper or can we use a simple word format typed affidavit?\n4) can you share cover letter format as well?\n5) Also for financial proof, I am planning to attach my Parents bank statements but can I also additionally link mine & my spouse's statements as well?

I’m immigrant as well and have been living in Canada for about 3 yrs and I agree with all the things you said. The cost of living is so crazy especially in Vancouver. The weather is gloomy and you only can enjoy life during summer. The inflation has been an issue recently and the rent is ridiculously high. Hopefully it gets better in some levels like rent, work-life balance or cost of living

Very informative. As a US Citizen who lives in the USA, Canada is one of those places I don't want to visit because it just seems too mellow and boring. I want to come for Carabana/Caribbean Carnival though.

Canada is great, but it would be better if we had capable leaders in both the federal and provincial (especially Ontario) level. The current Liberal gov't is running this country into the ground and it won't get any better until they're finally voted out
