My parents came to this country in the 70s from a small country in SAmerica. they brought me 3 years later and my handicap brother 2 years later. The USA embassy made my parents sign a paper stating that my brother will not used any government assistance ( he had polio when he was little so he has to walk with scratches) and that's what my parents did until my brother got a job. He worked for 40 years in the same job until he retired 6 years ago. With the exception of the mass rehab center for job training, my brother never used government assistance. \nI remember my mother and I we used to wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning to shovel the snow from the driveway so it would be safe for him to walk to his car to go to work at 5 am. I am very proud of my brother. \nSome people think that receiving government assistance is smart, but we think is not bc it makes you a dependent, you loose your sovereignty as an individual. And these people don't realize that. Personally I think these people are getting paid to do this bc this is not normal. \nIn the other hand, the USA government in the quest to protect its interests ( mainly the corporate interests) support candidates that will go along with what the US says. \nI would like to point out that in this country, there's plenty of corruption, do u do anything about it? ! Jan 6 is the only time that I see it happening ( for me, Jan 6 will forever be a very important holiday)

There are millions of undocumented Immigrants in the US that have been living here for decades… they file taxes, no crimes, and yes I understand they are not here “legally” but now these people are just entering the US and getting everything?? Work permit, social security…. Something needs to be done.

People are coming over to the United States because of the food stamps checks.The government needs to stop the help or people are going to continue to come and once they get here they don't want to work the women declare them self with no husband to receive food stamps money.The young people don't want to work and the older people are tired of working.

The problem with accepting a lot of immigration from countries like Venezuela for example is that all the good people that have some influence flees the country, leaving tyrants to stay in power longer since most of the opposition fled the country. If they want to leave the country because of the elected government they have to stay over there and solve their problem. On top of that I have many friends who came to the U.S. because of the government but go back to their country every year for vacation. I am not against immigration, and if we are smart we can get more people working and contributing with taxes, I just don’t like the fact that most of this people are good people who fled their country to leave tyrants free to do whatever they want.

I came here as a refugee from the Bosnian war when I was a little girl, I know all these people want is a safer place to raise their kids, and steady employment (they will take the jobs Americans are picky about any day!) I barely see Americans at the warehouses I’ve worked at.

Most of these people are far better than alot of the people in this country. Couldn’t we work out a trade agreement

If we had an immigration program where after passing a background anyone can join a roving us work immigration camp where for 5 years they’ll work and get free education afterwards so they can save and pick up american work and life culture. \nFor 5 years every new migrant will be building roads, laying water and electric lines and building homes and neighborhoods. This will bring cost of living way down here in the USA while doing a faster better job of Americanizing our newcomers. We would be able to rise our population level really fast without harming the American white picket fence dream. \nLastly the program won’t be available for just migrants, our own people can get guaranteed work if they would like to join the program.

I hope the USA help this people because all deserve the opportunity to have HAPPINESS in life and have respect and be able to have the life for the family and be happy and able to work and respect and love everything else him deserve all the opportunity like us all in the world because everyone is son's of GOD!!???????

A man came to my job looking for work. Unfortunately we where not hiring. I asked him politely are you legal to work here because I know some people that are hiring. He says yes the government already gave me a medical card, cell phone and some $$. I've been here my entire life. I've had to work for everything I have ... Doesn't seem fair.

Some of these people might be worthwhile.\n\nI really hope that the integration of these people to the American culture works better than how it did in my country, Chile where they definitely had more of a negative impact as they brought more issues % wise than benefits.

If I were one of them, I would not risk myself or my family going into an alien country without legal visas and work to earn adequate money for food and shelter. Something needs to be seriously address on why the people from these country feel the seriousness of leaving their countries. What is going on over there ?\nCalifornia is overcrowded. The last 20-30 years California has been flooded with people running from Mexico and other countries connected searching for better lives. I know what I’m talking about I worked for the county and sat and cried hearing stories.

This is one of the few immigrants I have a compassion for. I see Jose is working in the construction field on top of a roof in the middle of the winter I have kids I don’t even wanna work and they have the ability to work there. Just lazy. I hope Jose gets to stay. He has a trade in construction as a carpenter, and we have a shortage of good carpenters in this country. My question as I would not have left the United States the attorneys here are much more compassionate, and Canadian attorneys José all the luck to you remember to tell them that you have a trade 99% of the people coming over the border do not have a trade they do not know how to do anything the education lacks in South America especially in the trades.

This is deplorable and it’s going to destroy our country in so many ways. First, our social, educational, and criminal systems cannot absorb this many people all at once. We have enough people immigrating here legally. We don’t need all these illegals flooding over.\nThis is all Joe Biden and the Democrats’ fault, for not doing anything for two-plus years, except inviting these people to come here. These people get benefits, free healthcare, welfare probably, phones, and they shouldn’t. They should be told to go home. They should not be given a court date and then released into the United States! That’s ridiculous. They should be loaded on a C-130 transport, retrofitted with seats and shipped home. The majority of them are not going to show up for their court date. They’re going to disappear into the United States, work under the table, take jobs away from Americans, and send billions of more dollars back to their home country where they have family. I think currently, $250 billion gets sucked out of the US economy every year, due to illegal immigrants all sending $50 each, per month, home to their families in their native country. That money should be being spent here.\nLastly, all these illegals and the “anchor babies” they are going to have here, and the descendants of those babies, are all going to vote Democrat in the future, because of this lawlessness. Then we’ll have one-party rule in this country. That will destroy the country. It’ll be a socialist dictatorship, which is not good. The worst part is, many of these women coming across, are going to have a baby within a year. That baby, who by law is automatically a US citizen, becomes their key to citizenship, because once that baby turns 18, he or she can sponsor his parents to become citizens and also sponsor other family members. It’s not right. That amendment to our Constitution, was meant for descendants of slaves to become citizens, NOT to be used the way it’s being used today.\nAnd if we’re not careful we will all be speaking Spanish in the future.\n\nVOTE REPUBLICAN! The United States is starting to get over populated cause a lot of people are coming from other countries. Instead of coming to USA focus on your country work on it instead of running away from it. My god yes, this exactly what I'm seeing as a born and raised Canadian. I just work hard, have most of my money taken and limits to me to just working 40+ hours a week so I can go home and watch some youtube. Everything you're saying doesn't just apply to immigrants. People born and raised here are seeing how screwed they're getting, and we're supporting everyone who is coming here, or need more medical, or income support, or have a bunch of kids and are single, and that's is all you get to do.

These people come and demand free housing,medical care,food etc...I work and barely make ends meet can't even afford medical coverage for my family.

I dont feel sorry for these of people....i have friends who did it the right way, poor and without much means they still did the paper work, interviews, paid their fees, and waited years.....and yeah they made into the US - while others think they can bypass the whole system of law or order and our democracy just bc they are poor. Poverty does not give you the entitled if not demand rights to be in the US or Canada.
