Canadian born and raised here. Everything you said is true. I would add though that there are many private clinics in Canada. It’s just that even when you have the money, the private clinics are not always easy to navigate and it takes some trial and error to figure it out.

I was born in this country and I agree with everything these young ladies were saying. I don’t have any roots in any other country but it’s been on my mind often about leaving this country for these very same reasons. Constant struggle and that's not a way to truly live our lives, lol not sure how people even save enough money to even travel let alone move. Please be informed that ALL Western countries and similar societies follow a particular model, so if anyone has lead you to believe that the US is a better place to live than Canada, that is a lie! The very same issues you've mentioned in Canada are probably doubled in the US. People are overworked, underpaid and lately blatantly disrespected particularly people of color. Furthermore, ageism is a theme in the US people are very often let go without notice or provocation and unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to maintain a descent standard of living if you fall prey to this. So, don't believe the hype as a citizen who was born, raised and educated in the US in my opinion melinated people should return to their places of origin and help to sustain their country. This in turn, will help to maintain your culture and the standards of living in which you are used to. If you don't believe me you should check out videos of the high rates of homelessness and crime in nearly every major city in the US!

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. Taxes are crazy in Canada that's for sure. I am white and I was born here in Canada and wish I could leave and go to the USA where taxes is so much less and you can get farther ahead then in Canada. I wish I had a job working online then I would go somewhere else like southeast Asia or Mexico where the cost of living is so much less and you can live like a king on very little money compared to Canada or the USA.

What I can tell is there is no place like canada in the whole world. It’s heaven on earth. I was born in the French capital, Paris. Believe it or not, we still have our birth certificates from the country. I would seriously consider going back to France, even if the argument is it's not that great (compared to who you talk to). Also, I'm an author, and living in the Toronto area can be depressing. I agree that it is boring, cold, expensive, high tax high services, I mean people didn’t work for a year and got paid plenty for nothing. Taxes are incremental based on income as they should be. Coming from a major Latin American city, you have no idea what it is to live under fear of assault or harm at any moment, having corrupt politicians, police, and people in general. You are privileged having been born here because it is much easier to make a living, with good laws, you should go to places where people drink on the streets and pee and shit everywhere. I’m sure there are better places in the world but you will never feel like at home, and each place will have it’s own difficulties. I don’t think we all need to live in the same place but don’t believe that you are able to move to any place in the world if you weren’t Canadian.

After speaking with countless immigrants in my area over the 12 years in Halifax, I have met so many perfectly qualified people even from the UK with English who couldn't work in their field without more credentials. Many I know left and are leaving. Plus, we need more doctors yet they make it so hard for newcomers. I am born and bred American and I feel this way a the time. Ok so my parents are from PUerto Rick where people live outside. I've also been able to do some traveling and I have always observed the cultural differences. Here I always say, in the summer you don't see much children playing in their yards, you don't smell cooking from a kitchen, you don't hear music being played in someone's house. It's crazy.

Brampton born and raised. The city drastically changed in the 90’s. I will be the first to say not all Indians are bad drivers, or bad homeowners! They come from another place and not used to the Canadian culture. Cutting grass may not be a thing in India, parking cars on the front lawn may be fine in India. It’s something we will have to get used to. Sure it’s an eyesore but surely their kids will be Canadian and adopt the cleanliness aspect.

It's an immigrant quota goverment tax scam. They need self sustained educated immigrants to raise tax money for the locals without being a burden for the government. Once in Canada they don't care how you do. As far as technical or high pay occupations they are controlled by unions which make gualifying degree holder immigrants pay exorbitants amounts of money and go though so much red tape that make it almost impossible for them to practice in their field. Their degree qualifies them to come to Canada, that's all. Once in the degrees even if better than Canada's standards, they are worthless. Engineering, medical fields are run by unions whose only purpose is to ensure Canadian born high payed proffesionals in those fields and others are guaranteed a lavish life through an endless pool of ever growing customers for a short list of elite board certified providers. It's a scam, a well thought one red seal approved by Ottawa. Get your foot in the country to escape the hell in your origin country, work through towards your citizenship which is always handy to have and bail out for better opportunities else where outside Canada. I was born in Ontario, Moved to Manitoba when I was 16, also lived in Alberta and Saskatchewan. As a long haul trucker I've been to Newfoundland to Vancouver. Canada does have many beautiful parts but I chose Manitoba over them all until I retire to Thailand.

I'm an Indian, born and brought up in India. In 2019, my parents wanted me to go to Canada through the express entry program. My father had recently sold a property and we had a lumpsum amount of money to show in the bank account for this program. However, when I researched and saw that after a Master's degree in India, and while being paid well according to Indian standards I will have a difficulty finding job there even with 7+ years working in the IT sector. I found out that I might have to work in a restaurant in Canada before I could find a job that would suit my calibre, I was totally under a lot of stress. My family kept pushing, but I finally decided to put the money into buying a property in India. I think it's a better decision. I have maids who come to my place to cook and clean and not the other way around. I will never let my self esteem be hurt because I wanna chase some elusive dream. I think the practical thing is to stay here than go there.\nHowever, I am open to thoughts, correct me if I'm wrong.
