Ive read alot of comments that say well if the usa didnt have such stringent rules to become a citizen, then this wouldnt happen. Thats like applying for a job without giving them any information about yourself, and expecting to get that job with no experience. Is it so bad these people should learn about our history and culture, need to be bi lingual and go through the entire vetting process? The answer is they should because if we went to anyother country, we would be expected to learn about their culture. You cant even live in cananda unless you have a certain amount of money and takes years to become a citizen, why shouldnt our border be any different? The fact of the matter is our government needs to wake up, put politics aside and address the issues. I have no problem with people coming here, it they need to become legel and pay taxes like everyone else. We are sick of paying for people that do nothing to contribute to our economy. Honestly our country has enough problems of its own. We can't keep letting people just walk in. Taking skilled jobs from hard working Americans, and lowering wages. Especially given current issues that plagues most cities.

Why do they want to go there ? They need counseling. With all the gun things ,looting ,drug issues and homelessness right now,They have much more chance of living a longer and peaceful life in their own country than the US .

They’re illegal. I understand the desire to pursue a better future for you and your family. You’ve got to go through the proper channels though. You shouldn’t be able to just walk into the country and then receive support, that most Americans don’t receive. Look at the situation with our veterans. Right now, Americans are having issue finding affordable housing. Everything’s gotten so expensive. This doesn’t help the situation.

Even tho I don’t think this is correct, U.S people luckily finds themselves on a good position to see this just as people making a tantrum to enter the U.S, proudly I say I’m Mexican American and I’ve lived in Mexico and Brasil as well, non of those Latin American countries I lived is as bad as Venezuela and even like that I’ve seen some very messed up shit, they are countries with a huge culture and beautiful but on the lowest levels it’s a pretty dark place to be…so for the USA people here that is heavily throwing shit, be some kind of human try to understand at least , I get it, I don’t think this is the way neither, but they are not just people trying to invade to take over or whatever, I even saw a comment saying that they should shoot those Venezuelans, the world is a pretty messed up thing now, and luckily or unluckily we don’t really know a shit about it, they are DESPERATE it seem like they were violent and most probably some of them tried to get violent but most of them is just desperate people trying to have it better in their only and one only lives..worst yet, if you have a kid, imagine how worried would you feel for not being able to provide your kid with a good life… see the people in the front for example, they were people begging and crying, is being desperate for having something better, and this is a really biiiiiiig subject with a lot of issues, wrongs, misunderstanding… you don’t know how bad is going in Venezuela, not even me, but I can imagine it cuz I know how bad some people have it in Mexico, and they don’t know how them illegally getting into the US is going to affect the US, I try to get all points so I don’t think this is correct, this kind of events shouldn’t be happening, but I also understand, just to put it in perspective, I’ve talked with some people from Venezuela and they’ve told me some crazy stuff, quick example. McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

As an Australian, I agree they are on point. Including the very last bit about trying to bring in food. When I was at Customs one time, I witnessed a little old Asian lady busted for trying to smuggle in some no-no food. The officials were NOT nice with her, because she was being entitled, difficult and uncooperative. Can't recall if they arrested her in the end or simply confiscated the goodies. \n\nAustralia takes this issue VERY seriously. Make sure you check the list of verboten items before coming to Australia, or you may get booted out without ever having left the airport.

If you have an issue with latino people coming here undocumented, you should remember that your ancestors did EXACTLY the same thing and that they decimated native Americans in order to create rules, laws and regulations against the very thing they themselves did. Don't like it? Why are you here in the Americas then- if you don't want to mingle with us? All of Latinos are American whether central, south or north American.\n \nNative Americans were here first. Y'all seem to love to forget that you have no right to discriminate Latinos (because their heritage started here) and indigenous people from the Americas. Why are they not opening fire? I'm not sorry for your situation as we have problems here too. If you want to act like fools charging the gates to our border, that is an act of war and should be treated as such. One warning shot would have made them stop. If they didn't stop you shoot one person. If that doesn't make them stop, you start taking ppl out. We need to protect our borders, protect them from criminals, drug mules, and the like. That means we need to do a background check before anyone can cross that border. Not letting them in, giving them a cell phone, giving them a place to live, not allowing them to work while they sit there waiting 2 years for a court date. The issue here is not that we have a housing crisis , first of all let’s start with honesty. I have multiple friends from different culture backgrounds, however, one thing that sticks out to me , and some of you may not want to hear it , it’s that most of my friends that are predominantly “white” have become homeless or nearly missed it by being able to get some rental assistance either through local or federal grants. With that being said, I’m an American as well but in all reality it’s mostly immigrants or their offsprings that I witness myself still living regularly even during and after covid,why is that ? Why ….

This is what happens when a country doesn't have a revolution. They flee. They need to fight for their own country. South America needs to be we the people. We have our own corruption. We as a country can't take care of the housing crisis, starvation, mental health issues, and crime rates. If these people come here it only adds to the issue. Our country's debt is over $30.93 Trillion. We can't afford to bring in refugees.

Close the border. Americans tax dollars shouldn't have to pay for refugees when they're struggling to get by themselves. People can't afford to go to college in the U.S., it's so expensive. Cost of living goes up all the time. I have multiple degrees and can't really find a job and when I do, they always want to pay very low and def much lower than they started your counterparts at. There's a ridiculous homeless issue in the U.S. where I've met plenty that apply for jobs all the time and do not get hired. They even ask random people if they can work for them just for food, literally just for food. There are people everywhere that take things for granted including the U.S. but that's not the issue here. There are U.S. leaders that steal your money in taxes and retirement funds then misuse the funds. How is it fair for a hard working individual to have 30% of their gross removed from there paycheck then still required to pay the government when filing income taxes. You can buy a house, pay it off and never own it. The government is your forever landlord because property taxes are always due and are increased whenever authorities want them increased. Every country has serious issues.
