Regardless of Sikh , hindu or muslim (religion)and their beliefs no body should bring any kind of weapons into the school / colleges ... ?... Bz it's not guaranteed that it would be not misused by the person who brings/ by the person who knows there is a weapon and take advantage of it ,thankyou .My self hindu . I have many beliefs but I don't carry anything inside school premises.

Why would anyone bring something like that to a public place or school. Your religion and culture is yours personal, but the security rules are for everyone.

Seriously this is not right, that’s not a knife it’s a Sikh symbol, Sikh carry it as a religious person.\nwhat the hell is this? This is person is definitely uneducated who doesn’t know about others cultures spiritual respects of symbols. Everyone please speak it up.

In India there have been many cases where a sikh man involved in a normal argument had pulled out his so called religious symbol (knife) and fatally injured the other person, so much for a religious symbol. The problem with sikh man carrying a knife in the name of religion is same as an american carrying a gun in the name of constitutional right. Allowing any one to keep a knife just because their religion tells them to so is dangerous act as you never know how much of tolerance level that person has. Complete nonsence

keep your relogious belief at your home state ..even in india they should nt be alllowed to carry this in public outside their home state. nobody can guarantee the mental state of a human.recently a video went viral where a sikh guy who was a goon publicy stabbed a person over a verbal fight. well done by police and there was no need for apology by college. a country or state should run by their own rules and culture .

For everyone's information, even in airports a person cannot be made to remove his/her kirpan, it is even legal in usa to carry a Kirpan , so whatever police officer did was out of his legislation

I just hope that USA police saves lives of small children from small children who carry guns. But there they fails!! And here, to a peaceful person, they're showing there power!! \n\nHypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti h bhai!!

I personal never ever heard a sikh misusing his kirpan.\nI understand safety is upmost priority \n\nbut on funny note ....Every American carrying an attitude should be arrested when entering India.\n\nATTITTITUDE is lethal too
|

A knife is weapon, and a dagger is more so. Period. Unless camping, don't carry a knife on your person. No disrespect to the Sikh, but, if you wouldn't wear a knife on a plane, why would you risk wearing it on your college campus ??

No islam in Europe as no Christians in arabic countries!! If any person who is MUSLIM wants to live in Europe MUST comply to country laws and rules. Otherwise they should be sent back to their country of origin.
|

Nice Job by Police or security officer. In America many Students had died due to arms related violence. No one should be allowed to enter educational institutions with any kind of Arms. The kirpan is supposed to be a weapon of defence only. But how could Police officers knows about it with first encounter to it. So, Police officer has done a preventive measure. If we respect kirpan then we should respect the Police officer who has done his duty to protect all students including the person who wears the kripan.\n\nBy the way, why that student or the person wears the kripan inside a educational institutions.
|
| 2022-10-02 | 0 |
See this is simple, \nThe person who complaint didn't know what kirpan is freaked out and called the cops, I'd be scared to death if I'd see someone with a weapon (which eventually is not).

Absolute disgrace and the ignorance of Americans. This same person would have been beaten up on 9/11, as Sikhs were, because Americans no nothing.

Someone from a developed nation who moves to a developing nation is always treated better than locals, however that is not the case for those that come from developing nations and settle in Canada . The reality of one person does not necessarily apply as a general rule for all. And honestly, Vancouver is not all Canada.

How do people expect an ordinary person to know about cultural symbolises of globally minority group.. It is obviously a weapon, how is it expected that she would know it is a cultural thing?

If a Sikh start to hurt a person.. detain the person.. he must have done something wrong. That kind of trust we Indians have on Sikh people. Americans must have same. (I am not Sikh)

Well the officer was just doing his duty i don't think he did it intentionally and how ' d he know about these religious traditions there ' s nothing bad happened with this guy he should ' ve took off his kirpaan before entering the college or any non public. Place the officer was just concerned about his people that's it don't exaggerate this p. S my apology if anyone sentiments get hurt by my words that ' s my personal opinion ?

Being a religious person, this really pissed me off, as I respect sikhs and their belief, this was really saddening, you could really see that he felt insulted in video?

Great video ladies! My parents moved to Toronto thinking it will be a better quality of life however as years have gone by we have realized that we only work and have been separated from family for way too many years. It's a great price to pay. A person doesn't need a lot to be happy.

Awww, it's so sad to hear u talk this way....... No country is perfect. Higher taxes means we can take care of the less fortunate and.....I can get an operation whenever I need one and it won't take my life savings to pay for it.\nMinimum wage here is much higher than in the US, so if u think having fun is better over there.....go c for yourself......as well has any kind of healthcare and medication.... nevermind when u have to c a Dr and u pay almost nothing.\nExactly what kind of fun r u missing out on living here??? If u have the means to pay for ur fun.....u can have it.\nThe pandemic def made almost everything more expensive......all around the world and it's going to take some time to get caught up again. But there r lots of greedy people everywhere and just want the extra cash so those prices will stay up.\n\nWas life that much better where u came from??? Canada will not keep u here if u want to go elsewhere, but while u r here, please don't trash my country. I'm an immigrant too and happy to be in CANADA, where for the most part, we take care of each other.\n\nI'd like to hear ur podcast on the differences between ur country and this country.......I honestly do. I'm an open minded person but I need an explanation....please....

I Was born in Canada and I agree and disagree with some points you've mentioned. How can you come to Canada and not expect to wear a jacket ? lol... The price of living is going up all over the world, the last 6yrs has become very pricey in all western countries. Hospitals are overrun in major cities in Canada that's very true, but not in smaller locations. Boring (are you crazy ? lolol) I completely disagree. You just don't know where to go lol ... however everything you do in Canada cost money ?. And I completely agree when you mention that Canada won't allow you to become filthy rich (very disappointed about that one) ... There is racism, but not just from the predominant Canadians. There have been many times when the racism is from someone new to Canada. But i also know as a black person i will experience this anywhere in the world. (They're portraying what they normally would towards me while in there own countries) ... anyway nice post, it's nice to hear what it's like from your perspective. Find yourself a good Canadian man (or woman) to show you around ???. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but you still have to find the beauty in order to behold it :).
|
| 2022-09-17 | 0 |
True, lived there for 4 years. Canada is a well made lie to make someone else rich. I even met a rich immigrant who basically became rich because I'm sure he was doing money laundry. Also, Canadian politeness is a fake way to uncover how they actually don't care about another person; they are not nice people . Being there also made me think about this whole immigration system, it felt like a neo-slave trade, because immigration is such a gray area, and we basically have no rights to anything whatsoever, being open to be easily exploited. Not to mention psychological problems, like the Ulyssses Syndrome, that nobody talks about.

Hmmmm I guess it's true.! Different strokes for different folks. I know people from Africa that have come to Canada complaining that their Country is too hard to live in. There's problems all around the world. I tried explaining this to a friend that it is not easy here in Canada they said their Country is Worse.! This person is from Nigeria ?? ?

I wish to ask you a personal question regarding schooling in Canada. Could you please share your WhatsApp number with me?
|
| 2022-09-16 | 0 |
I do think change can be a very good thing. But people need to realize that there’s a different set of problems in each country. It’s all about the pros and cons that you’re willing to deal with. What is the lesser evil to you? Otherwise, no country is really a perfect match for your beliefs and values about how you should be treated. I personally would rather live in Jamaica, but even Jamaica doesn’t have everything in it that I would like. But I need to deal with that and settle. I live in Canada right now. Other than that, I could live in Canada the rest of my life, as long as I get out of Quebec.

I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. That's cool ? \nAs far as desired profession, there are many doctors and teachers that come here to the USA from other countries and are now working as a clerk in the dollar stores here in the US. \nAnd forget work life balance here too. Cost of living here causes so much disruption in our family life. Debt is revolving.\nMy fiance's mother comes from a country in West Africa. She longs to return. She calls the USA a place you come to be a work rat. \nBesides free healthcare, it sounds like USA and Canada are similar. \nOne thing I've heard about Canada is that the government cares about kindness, as well as the banks. I hear that people are generally more courteous in Canada than they are here in the US.

Boring? LOL what? If you’re bored, you’re the boring person. There is so much to do here.
|

We’re immigrants and you are still complaining. ??? “8 hours” go back to the village! Stop being selfish and ungrateful. Why did you come here then? This is coming from a black person.
|
| 2022-09-16 | 0 |
The difference between Western countries and African countries is your interpretation of what government does. As a citizen of a western country, you should do your part and the government is there to provide what individuals can’t. If you want a lot. It costs a lot. As a citizen of an African country, you expect the government to do everything for you but they only do what personally benefits themselves. So, if your life is so bad, go back to where you came from until they get tired of hearing you complain about that too.

Quickly losing personal freedoms as well due to current prime minister.Canada isn't what it was.
|
| 2022-09-16 | 0 |
Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. Jagmeet Singh is s good leader but would Canadians vote in a person of colour with an agenda to actual help the people and the environment, probably not. It really is sad because Canada did provide a lot more for people in the past. But it’s always been a racist country unfortunately, just look at its history. \nI love this country and I see the politicians saying oh free healthcare doesn’t work while behind the scenes they are the ones not providing the training of medical professionals. They line the pockets of corporations Like the fossil fuel industry. Those are our resources. Taxes paid is our money. We need to be smarter voters and louder voices to demand our governments do their job. Protecting and caring for the land and the people and animals that live here. It really comes down to us the people. \nWhy does a country as rich as Canada have homeless people , because the leaders don’t care and the voters don’t care enough to demand more. \nI can’t blame immigrants for leaving. Plus it is bloody cold here lol

Here in the UK we only pay 40% tax if you earn over £100,000. The average wage is a lot lees than that. So the average person pays just 20% tax. And VAT is 20% as well.

Your video is spot on accurate on issues immigrants face. Families come for a better way of life but can expect high expenses for everything including cost of social after school activities. Expect several years of getting settled before you can expect a decent quality of life. And you need at least 2 working persons in the family to cover bills adequately

Well said Mate. I'm Nigerian studying in Melbourne and you are very on point with your submissions. Australia is notoriously gaining a reputation of being a country of temporary immigrants. I dont see why I should give my best years to a country treating you as an option when canada is making you a priority. \n\nWould you have stayed on if you got a Job in your field that also chose to sponsor your PR? Would the cold in cananda make you reconsider your decisions? That's a racket I dont seem to understand. So much emphasis on skills and job shortages, yet many skilled graduates from their universities are being denied jobs based on their Residency status. \n\nI.met a Ghanain PHD student in my Uni who came from Canada, he said wages are higher here hence his reason for coming. \n\nLike you said , its a personal journey for everyone.\n\nSomehow, I don't blame them. They never promised PR but they should not also give impression that we are coveted.\n\nI still dont regret coming here though, it adds to my rich life experience. I recently just got my canada visit visa and will be travelling to see my option in canada first. \n\nYou just earned yourself another follower. Cheers mate.
