You keep hearing this question that originates from Israeli plans. Israel wants to force out all Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank. They want the Palestinians to go to Sinai or Jordan. Insidiously they tell their propagandists to say the Arab countries don’t really care for the Palestinians because they’re not welcoming them as refugees into their countries. Why should the Arab nations fall for this devious Israeli trick? Palestine is the home of the Palestinians. Why should they leave it?

None of the Arab states wants Palestinians refugees. It’s simply because they will try to overthrow the local government like they tried in Kuwait, Lebanon and Jordan. This is the same reason why the regime in Egypt does not want any Palestinians. They will simply join the local Sinai insurgents and cause problems for the local government.

This has been the plan of the Arab world since 1948. As someone who moved Canada 3.5 years ago, I agree with all the reasons mentioned. There are many things government could have done better to fight against the inflation, housing crisis, high cost of living and rise in crime and homelessness. I don't even want to mention about the taxes. Like I am almost giving half of my salary to the government yet they are still taking %13 more on what we spend on, yet I've never seen a single place where that money was used to address any of these problems. One of the reasons I moved to Canada was to have a better life style, more buying power and better future for my future kids. But at this point I feel like I am living in a zombie land. High skilled workers will have some other opportunities elsewhere but refugees and low skilled workers will be stuck in Canada and it will get only worse with the current policies.

A lot of history behind why Arab nations won't take Palestinian refugees. 1) They don't want a repeat of an attempted coup de'tat that Jordan went through decades ago and 2) they don't want Netanyahu, the Knesset, and the IDF taking over Gaza and the West Bank.

Isn't this the same as preventing Ukrainian refugees from being able to leave Ukraine while active fighting is taking place? If neighboring countries allow safe passage to civilians, Hamas can duke it out with IDF all they want. But I understand they likely don't at all trust Israel to then let refugees return back to Gaza.

They won't take them in as refugees because they don't want to deal with the economic and social outcomes that EU and US have with asylum seekers. But they also don't won't to help them fight either. They will sit there and watch Palestinians boil in a pot. Then blame Israel when they are done, and do nothing to help. Some pals. History has taught them not to accept them. They want them to stay there in Palestine. Look at Lebanon, it used to be the Paris of the Middle East. Once they took Palestinian refugees, the country was half destroyed and turned into a terrorist zone. Look at Jordan, the King welcomed them in and later a war followed within his nation and he was forced to take action because they wanted him dead.

As the son of Palestinians, just as the Jewish people have a “birthright” to return to Israel. The Palestinians living in Palestine have a right to their homes and land. My parents left willingly to give me a safer life and I love them for that but those who cannot do so should not be demonized for refusing to leave their homes and effectively make themselves stateless and homeless. It’s not up to Arab nations alone to take refugees. It’s up to the entire civilized world to stop the killing through sanctions and humanitarian aid. Killing of civilians on both sides is senseless and goes against god, no matter the religion. Palestinians do not want to leave, they want to live in peace.
