Stop!! This is propaganda! Canada was asked back in 2016 to spend 5% on their defense spending and they are still at 1%. Also, Canada already charges us 25% tariffs. \nTrump wants fair trade and Canada to step up defense. They have let some of the top terrorists through to the United States.\nWe also aid Canada with money each month.\nTrudeau is a liar and a performer who stiffs his own people with some of the highest taxes.

These tariffs have nothing to do with Fentanyl. Fentanyl is the excuse needed to apply tariffs which otherwise would be illegal. Canada needs to start trading more with other countries. The USA is not a reliable trade partner when one man can completely FK the system.

All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Currently every American owes $110,000 because of the accumulated debt of 36.5 trillion.\n\nJustin, how long are we supposed to bend back wards while US has a trade deficit of trillion dollar over the past 20 years. Most of the world have had enough of Tramp, there is a lot of people around the world who will refuse to purchase American goods from now on and the diplomatic fallout will last for a couple of terms. Tramp will probably move to put tariffs on goods from the EU and their retaliatory tariffs will result in a 25% increase in the price of everyday products that the American public purchase. If tariffs are imposed on the EU that will mean at least 70% of American goods will have tariffs on them. Tramps next book will be, how to crash an economy within two months of taking office, so much for the art of the deal! This is a really pointless interneine trade war and the collaborator in chief getting cosy with Russia is another example of Tramps deranged priorities.

My heart hurts watching this. As an American, I respect and agree with Prime Minister Trudeau. There is a huge opportunity for the rest of the world to lower the economic influence that the US has over us.\n\nThe other large importers of US products should get together and, where available, smash out interim tariff free trade agreements across certain products. Replace US products with alternatives from other countries.\n\nThis will improve diplomatic ties, improve the economic position of these countries and weaken US influence.

As a proud new Canadian and a born and raised Brit I think now is the time to create a new trade partnership between UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Together we have everything we need. I'd even support a free movement agreement.
