I'm a latino straight from South America and I'm very happy. I REALLY don't get what you american liberals think of us. The only reason we are willing to leave our countries to live in the US is because you have a country where we can thrive. In order to go to the US, we go through the process and apply for visas and the green card. That's being honest. We don't want the country filled with illegal immigrants who jump the border. We left our countries in an honest way and we want the borders strong, so we can still have a country where we can thrive. Is it really hard for you to understand that? We voted for Trump and we're proud of it, so we don't need your false pitty. You guys don't know reality, you're born in fantasy land and you aren't able to see the basic truth even if it's in front of you.

The problem with many countries is that immigration cannot simply be used as a fix for economic issues. Behind immigration are living, breathing people, not objects to solve problems temporarily. When economies are struggling, these individuals are invited to help rebuild and strengthen the system, often sacrificing a great deal to do so. However, once the situation improves, expecting them to leave behind everything they’ve built and return is unfair. They left their homes, worked hard, and contributed significantly — they deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, not as disposable solutions.

Option 1 we gonna SPEND a HUGE amount of money to deport millions of people. \nOption 2 we filter out high crime immigrants and filter those out, after we charge $20000 each illegal for a 2 year visa and work permit as a trial time, and see how they contribute to society. \n Do you have any idea how much money will come in?? Its not as simple as deporting all illegals, All those who complain about inflation, now get ready for for the unseen/ unsaid issues th at come along with this way of doing things, it is tied into the economy and will have enormous impacts of pricing and manufacturing. We left 3 years ago...can't stand what this country has become!

I left 20 years ago and never looked back, when I go for visits to see family ( the only reason to go back) I cant wait to leave. Im so shocked and ashamed of what that country turned into

I am a German born, Germany raised second gen immigrant. I am almost 30 now. To this day, I do not feel as part of this country. Why? Constant discrimination, being treated extremely poorly, lower chances at anything really, bullied and abused since infancy. I am very highly educated and skilled throughout various domains and tried to achieve the best I can. If I work in Germany, less skilled people will do everything to sabotage me, due to jealousy. People just waste your energy and time constantly for their own insecurities. I have left some years ago and will never come back. Germany will end itself and I am sitting to watch it!

The process is not the same as it was in the 80s when they did not require renewal every couple yrs w high $ and rules to return to home country for a set amount of time risking losing your home/job/business etc. Some renewal process for green cards have sped up but still takes 6-1yr and a new green card renewal and new one for Mexico can take 1-3yrs for approval. So someone that’s been here +20yrs will have to leave everything they have built here to go wait quite a long time. Its not if you agree how they got here, its what they have done in our country since being here. They add to our economy, +80% pay taxes to never get any of those benefits and they open businesses employing people etc. If they have been here committing a list of crimes then no i don’t agree but majority of immigrants don’t do that. People born in Canada are just leaving and I don’t blame them. I have 3 neighbours in my neighbourhood that I was close to them but they left 1 put their house on rent and the other 2 sold there house just left the country. They all said the same thing Canada is to expensive and going down hill . High crime , high taxes you. You name it . The more you make the more you are taxed. I have a friend that left Canada for Ireland 3 years ago for a job in his field and was able to buy a beautiful house .

I am German and was born in Germany, I left that country about 4 years ago because of political, economical, tax, bureaucratic, etc. reasons. I totally understand why others leave. I would never return myself.

I left Canada when I was 18\n\nI’m 48 now and living with my children and their mother here in Argentina currently \n\nI have been to over 70 countries and I have lived over 20 years in Asia itself…\n\nI love traveling, and I love, living places, long-term, and experiencing new cultures \n\nAt first when I left, I felt a bit when I would return because everything seems so boring and mechanical \n\nBut now that I found myself more I really enjoy visiting Canada …. And experiencing the beautiful nature and infinite spaciousness\n\nCanada is a great country, but so are so many other places

Sadly home ownership is unaffordable in most Western countries, Australia, the Uk , Europe is the same despite a varied number of governments from the Left and Right. Canada does not stand out alone.

Being the reason why i left the country right after 6 months, truly horrifying when it comes to saving and studying, finding part time jobs in well known provinces is hell, even after you get the job, you won't get enough hours to save up for the upcoming year for your tuitions, you cannot do both at the same time, you either study or work, there's no point in dragging yourself for the specific period of time you're there for and end up driving either a uber or looking for tradework.

My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. Are sketchy parts of all cities, but it’s definitely not community wide\n\n- are small pockets of homelessness (esp but not only indigenous community) but the governments are mostly (sort of…) “on it” \n\n- sun, sea, sand… and the sharks rarely come close to shore!

Have you ever stopped to think about why people like your wife and her family left home to come to Canada? Yes, they escaped from fundamentalism and the challenges it created in their country. When they arrive here, they suddenly become intellectuals and want to make Canada like back home! I have a lot of respect for those who have made the decision to leave. I hope others, instead of complaining and comparing Canada to their home country, consider getting on a plane and leaving.

Many hard working Canadians including my immigrant patents and myself worked hard in the early 80s to make ends meet and to integrate into this peacful landscape as if it was our own without any baggage of the Country we left. We also did not take shortcuts my parents came over with not even a degree and through their perseverance and hard work gained a threshold for us to survive and thrive.

I'm an international student. I believe this dilemma could have been prevented by having an online interview with each temporary resident applicant, especially students and their spouses, before making an entry decision. I'm not criticizing what the immigration department has been doing, but proposing an effective way that only the right people are coming into the country. This could massively reduce the number of immigrants coming in. However, I believe it is unfair that students and their spouses are left hopeless after spending tons of money on Canadian education.

By the time Germany understands this all those skilled workers would have left the country. The system is so slow and frustrating, not to mention the discrimination at every level.

I lived in Canada when I was 5 years old. I don't remember much from when I was 5 years old but I remember the feeling of home Canada gave me. I was happiest in Canada and my family felt safe and grateful to be there. I left Canada in only a year though cause we went there to study English, and I was very sad because Canada was the best place ever for me. I've been to several countries but Canada always had me in love. I was planning on going back for college and living there, but when I realized the state Canada is now, I was heartbroken because it looked nothing like the amazing place I had lived in years back. I'm still very sad about this and I pray the Canada I used to know will be back one day so that I can return to the place that was the closest thing I've ever felt like home.

The western countries covertly corrupted leaders, both left and right, promoted feminist male hate for the last 70 years out of their unfounded fear that we would all overbreed like 3rd worlders and collapse our food supply. But they had way too much fun bashing all of the males for the last 70 years , and now, all of the western countries are in population collapse and economic collapse . BOTH sides are equally guilty of killing their own countries future prosperity.
