I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada. But I find myself questioning why I was so obsessed with it since childhood. I realize that I earn more in my home country than the average Canadian, even after taxes and rent. Perhaps Canada nowadays is more appealing to individuals from India, the Middle East, and Africa. If I were from these regions, I might still consider moving there. However, moving from Europe to Canada seems like the biggest mistake I could make right now. \n\nCons of Canada: 1) Misconception about communism. 2) High taxes, up to 50% in some cases. 3) Expensive rents(we all know u won't be able to buy anything decent there. 4) Perception of social conformity among Canadians, where sensitive topics may not be openly discussed for fear of judgment. 5) Disparity between the country's overall wealth and the financial struggles faced by some citizens.\n\nPros of Canada: well, I didn't find anything I could not find in other countries developed countries.

The real reason is not a race problem it's that the majority of these people have a religion that is cursed, God blessed Canada and the USA because we were considered a Christian nation, well thanks to the liberals this country has become predominantly secular and these people have millions of gods their religion and beliefs and they bring their cursed temples and wicked practices here that bring demonic activity. Jesus is king and all other religions and beliefs have ruined what God had blessed and has become a curse because we don't fight it most people reject the truth of the Bible well it's written all throughout the old testament of what happens when people reject God he allows curses on them and ultimately it brings curses on a nation. So Canada by choosing your liberal government to endorse your sin has been your ruin. Repent and come to Christ before judgement starts.

Considering almost every problem in the country is caused by immigrants right now it's a little weird to suggest that people don't want to live here our population has grown faster recently than anytime in our history I wish people didn't want to live here ?

It should be quite telling that the Arab world does NOT want the Palestinians in their countries. Why? It is because the Arab world considers them a serious problem and they don't want them in their country.

The analysis is kind of missing one thing. For example crime. Yes even with the increase of crime it is still relatively low. But it is the trend that matters. More and more migrants coming more and .ore businesses going bankrupt, more and more crime. In about 10 years it will become and average poophole and noone in canada feels united. If canada gors babkrupt everyone is just going to leave because they dont have the love for their country noone considers it as their own. People migrate here for exonomic reasons for free handouts and to become canadians. Its one of the only passport rhat does not points to a persons natinality

It is considered ANTI-IMMIGRATION to have larger percentage of the immigrants from one country...especially one that is averse to multicultural temdecies. im a huge advocate of diversity but this is just too much ... Change is hard and uncomfortable, it is harder when you have to work more. \n\nMoving to any other country is mentally and physically stressful and making decisions without considering long-term good will push you to return to your old situation.\n\nYou should have given it more time than just two and a half months.\n\nMoving to a better quality of life is much more than money and comfort. You can always hire a house help, it is way too costly but the quality of work you get in just a few hours per week is worth paying.

However, what he also correctly predicted was with guilt-ridden/self-hating/bleeding-heart liberals would willfully facilitate culturally unassimilable interlopers from the Third World to transgress Europe’s shores. \n \nBut it would be three and half decades before the dire predictions Enoch Powell espoused in 1968, would come to pass. And this cavalcade of horrors first emerged on March 11, 2004, in Madrid, when a group of Islamic fundamentalists systematically detonated 10 bombs on four trains approaching the city’s main CBD railway station, at Atocha. Those instances callously claimed the lives of 192 innocent people, and injured another 1800. \nThen, 16 months later in London, on July 7, 2005, another group of Islamic fundamentalists replicated the Atocha event detonating bombs on trains and buses slaughtering a total of 52 people, and injuring about 800 others. In the subsequent 16 years after the London bombings, another 288 (accruing to be 532) innocent people were slaughtered, in a Reign of Terror, across Britain and Europe, which was callously inflicted by Islamic fundamentalists. \nNow, in Australia, on April 15, 2024, in the Sydney suburb of Wakely (Fairfield), a 16-year-old Islamic terrorist strolled into the Assyrian Orthodox Church, of The Good Shepherd, and stabbed its bishop. This dreadful event culminated with up to 500 of its parishioners gathering outside the church to stage a very violent riot in the subsequent hours. Their sole objective was seeking to get hold of the perpetrator, and exact their revenge upon him for this atrocity. \n \nWhilst being detained by churchgoers shortly after the attack, the 16-year-old assailant can be distinctly heard saying on a video clip that he had stabbed the bishop, because he’d “insulted my prophet”. Therefore, those few words, indisputably designate that this assault was premeditated: and, therefore an act of terrorism. Yet, in spite of him saying these words, the usual suspects have emerged in the past few days downplaying affairs. Some of them (all Muslims) are querying how authorities had been so quick, and eager to call this an act of terrorism.\n \nNeedless to say, it’s an absolute certainty that in the coming weeks that the ‘system’ will surreptitiously maneuver, and manipulate circumstances to cast this goon as being a mere aberration within Australia’s Islamic community. Rather, than him being reflective of a significant component of the Muslims here. To garner the reality that there’s no shortage of Muslims in Australia whose prime allegiance is to Islam, merely requires perusing photos, and video clips appearing in media coverages depicting Muslims congregating outside Mosques. Most of them will be clad in some form of traditional attire, praying to Allah. What this all amounts to is to prove there are no shortage of Muslims here in Australia (and, indeed, Britain, France, and Belgium/Holland, or Canada, and the US), who consider themselves answerable to the teachings of the Quran, before the society they’re in. \nIn the near future, we will be constantly bombarded with the line that this 16-year-old terrorist is not representative of Muslims, which of course is correct. However, the most ominous concern is that, there needs only to be a couple of hundred fundamentalist Muslims in the country who hold extreme views to wreak havoc. \n \nTragically, mass intakes of people from a bevy of non-Anglo/European cradles over the past 30-35 years has radically transmogrified Australia’s two largest metropolises of Sydney, and Melbourne. So much so that, within the short space of a bit more than three decades (1990), Anglo/Europeans have been reduced from being 94 percent of these cities’ populations, to now becoming the ‘collective’ minorities: at around 47 percent. \nTo ascertain this glaring reality, merely requires travelling on any train, at any part of the day that runs through the corridor of 20 stations between Burwood/Strathfield, Granville and down to Liverpool. By doing so, you will quickly realise that people of non-Anglo/European extractions will account for at least, 80 percent of all those people you will observe, either standing on platforms or travelling in carriages. \n \nFor the record, of the 400,000 net-increase of Sydney’s population in the decade up until February 2024, 280,000 of them have been immigrants (either permanent or temporary) who are sourced from non-AE, and non-Christian societies. But what’s strikingly apparent about any of the main business districts of places which have an array of different ethnocultural entities traversing the streets (such as Bankstown), is with how none of them interact with each other: let alone do they have a connection to Australia. \nAs of Saturday morning on April 20, less than 290 hours after the attack at Wakley, there have been many media stories analysing how this heinous event could have come to fruition. Their essences range from querying if intelligence bureaus had any prior knowledge of the assailant: and, if so, then why wasn’t he intercepted earlier. Well, to be fair to law-enforcement, and intelligence entities, keeping tabs on anyone dabbling googling up any facet of extremism, is nigh on impossible to achieve. So, engaging in a blame game on this is futile. \n \nTragically, what the media should be pondering, is the immense sociological cataclysm that Australia is sinking into. All of which is due to the insanity of successive governments from the late 1980s, rapidly drawing in millions of culturally unassimilable immigrants from a large array of non-AE ethnicities? The culmination of this madness has ultimately destroyed the host’s culture. And, moreover, with these immigrants forming culturally-insular enclaves/colonies.\n \nSo, it now comes to pass all these years after Enoch Powell, and Jean Raspail, warned us of would eventuate with dismantling borders, concludes with scores of acts of vile terrorism from 2004, being perpetrated by rabid Islamic fundamentalists. But, in spite of it being patently obvious to any halfwit that, mass-non-discriminatory immigration programs have destroyed the cultures of the host-societies, politicians in Britain, Canada, NZ, and of course, Australia, are totally committed to perpetuating large scale immigration intakes.

well I have to say that this video is yet another white man complaining how the country is when they sat and watched it happen over the past 20 years. BOO Hoo you're the minority now sucks don't it. I was born and raised in Canada, never thought of nor considered wanting to be in another country. That was until 2019 and beyond, with the pandemic happening, freedom rallies, government that runs the country, and the people that live here (I understand that no matter where I go, there will always be naive dumb people but the must be somewhere in the world with less per capita)

Every would-be student who thinks Canada is a better country to live better think 500 times, not just twice. In 2024, if you moved to Canada, you will not only be living in poverty for decades. Stay away. 20, 30 years ago I would have said the opposite but not anymore. You will be met with the worst shock of your life that you won't be able to recover from unless you go home to your country of origin or consider other countries to study in or move to.

All the west countries should stop giving permanent residency to expats and just give them 5 to 10 year work permit so expats of 'N' number can come here on tourist/visit visa and ger hired on a work permit of 5 to 10 years, have better life in their home country where they are considered first, where they can build big homes without loan and buy cars and save money have better life, and you guys keep your people first. Most of the white are homeless and jobless on the road, please help them

I’m born and brought up in Canada, from immigrant parents. If I was not married, I would without a doubt LEAVE. This country has been plucked clean. I also actively tell new immigrants that they should consider leaving simply because of how socially and economically unwelcoming the country has become. \n\nYes, it has gotten worse since Trudeau’s Fiberal, err I mean Liberal government took power in 2015, but honestly, it’s Canadian peoples’ fault because they repeatedly voted that virus into power. (Mainly Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa’s fault!)

Look I have NOTHING against Immigrants. But housing has been long ignored by all parties and now we can't even support our own population let alone new immigrants with somewhere to live. It's INSANE. Housing prices are absurd. We are doing immigrants wrong by telling them this is a great place to live. That's just false advertising. My city is super multicultural and I love that about it, but more and more I meet uber drivers that used to be professionals in their country. They're struggling here and it hurts to see that. They deserve better. We ALL deserve better. Something needs to change, and considering how much Galen Weston makes and the fact that the rich keep getting richer, I think we have the means to solve this problem. The CRA has done next to nothing to close tax loopholes. It's gross.

I think the best part about Canada that you can't find anywhere else is the people and the landscape. Everyone here is so friendly and willing to help their neighbor. I find when I travel, the world feels much colder than here. Unfortunately it's all these amazing people who are suffering to no fault of their own. I haven't been to a doctor since I moved to Quebec (Born and raised Albertan) and I think it's among the worst of the provinces in terms of healthcare and infrastructure and considering it's the highest taxes in all the provinces. Luckily in Quebec City though it's still very affordable (relative to the rest of the country) but the housing market is still getting expensive here very fast. in 2020 my friend bought an apartment for 300k and within 4 years it's easily almost doubled in value for no reason other than inflation in the market. I love this country but indeed things need to change

100% True! Very well researched. It used to be better but a 2023 study showed that US salaries for the same work are 46% higher while the US also collects much fewer taxes on both salary and sales. On top of that nearly everything other than education is much more expensive in Canada! We have much less variety of products available too and even imported goods are sold for higher prices. Waiting 10+ hours in an emergency room is considered normal which is really shocking considering that Canada is numerically one of the richest countries!

Wait till you get sick in this country. Ooh my God. The system only attends to old people. You have to consider yourself almost dead from a minor sickness, you even have to book an appointment for months to get a simple antibiotic. \n\nTo much rules is hindering the kind of development and uplifting we see in other developed economy.

Im seriously considering leaving Canada. I was born here, but its the not the same as it used to be. Rent and food prices have skyrocketed, theres massive drug abuse and homelessness issues, and the culture has changed completely. Pains me so deeply. I work at a Hotel. Without going into detail, we house so many refugees from Sudan, Nigeria, Ukraine etc. completely for free. They are all lovely people for the most part don't mistake my meaning, but I seldom hear of such programs addressing widespread actual Canadian citzen homeless housing, nor have any of the refugees at my Hotel been Canadian citizens born and raised who were granted asylum. \n\nThe other day I had to kick out a homeless gentleman from my hotel who was sleeping in the heated stair-wells. My manager instructed me to contact the non-emergency police number and get them to escort him out and/or possibly trespass him. He was compliant, not rude and understanding and wasn't causing any property damage or bothering anyone, nor consuming drugs or anything of the sort. It pained my heart and it reminded me of the risks I may face in the future considering how fucked the housing is.\n\n100%, and I mean 100%, of the new employees we've hired in the Hotel are Indian students here on student-visas, or refugees (many Ukrainians and one African lady). And 0% of the people being housed at my Hotel are Canadian born citizens. Disgusting mess of a country with all thanks owing to J.T.

Trudeau has not considered actual Canadians opinions or considerations. Why should a government make all the decisions without the Canadian people having a say in what happens in there country. I moved to Canada over a decade ago, when I moved it was easy to find a job, and you could afford a decent life even with minimum wage.\n\nFast forward to today, I am already a canadian citizen, and me and my wife both make 6 figures, yet I lost my job for the first time in my life 5 months ago, and I only found a new job now because a friend helped.\n\nIt show me that if for some reason at some point me and my wife lose our jobs we won’t be able to survive in Canada for long even tho we already own a house.\n\nThis country is awful right now, I am honestly considering moving out of here because things just started to get nasty it’s going to get worse.\n\nIf I sell my house now and everything I own, I can live a comfortable life back in my home country, and honestly I prefer to do that.\n\nFor anyone reading this, please, for your own good, do your research.\n\nAll Canada gave me in the last decade is bad mental health, if I never left my country I would have good life there now

top notch stuff. the reporting and editing are both outstanding. subbed halfway through when i noticed how small the channel is. never would have guessed considering the talent being displayed. keep in mind that all of this is being compounded with the carbon taxes. those taxes are making every single aspect of every supply chain in the country more expensive, so by the time a product hits the shelf it's been taxed God knows how many times by the carbon tax.

America has some breathtakingly beautiful places and my girfriend and I do Storm chase down there when we get a chance, however we always can't wait to return home. As flawed as Canada can be sometimes, we would never consider moving there at all. It's a great country to visit but it's a NO from us.

You guys are from the okanagan ?? We (hubby and i) have considered moving from Canada as well. We are baptist and very very few churches preach the same things we preach here.. so can understand how you feel. We also hold similar beliefs to man and woman etc. It is discouraging being in a country claiming to be for peace and love when they're actually very hateful (mostly to religious ppl or disabled )\n\nGood for you protecting your family. Not recently but always it was different from what you hear about Canada.\nHowever, high costs of living are gone up at every country.\nI left Canada two years ago for a job in Europe. Prices went up here as well.\nBut one thing that is different: I came as engineer, I work as engineer. In Canada, that's impossible. As soon as you have an accent, you are considered as not qualified for the job. It like you are applying for the English teacher not engineer. It's hard for adults to change the accent. That's why it's easier to leave.

More than half of US imports come from Mexico. Mexico has helped out the US in war many times. Mexicans help keep your agriculture up and running and for a very very low wage without a problem. Yes it’s illegal but your hard working Americans that own those farms don’t seem to mind, and prefer it actually. Mexico does so much for their lazy northern neighbors and yet yall treat us as if we were satan. It is not only in Canada, Australia has the same problem. In recent years, the government has allowed too many immigrants to enter the country without considering the consequences. The number of new immigrants is higher than new houses, which creates a housing and rent price issue.

It’s crazy to immigrate to all countries in EU, USA and it allies except Norway and Swiss. All those countries are consider history that they were once the dream of everybody to reside in. Now they are the worst places to live. Crimes, drug abuse, civil disobedient, incompetence politician, firearms abuse, sex maniac, joblessness, racism and all social ill that you can imagine all are swallowing up those countries. Only mad people will chooses to live in those countries.

Like any other country, Canada is not for everyone. I am an immigrant who acquired Canadian Citizenship recently. I live in a good neighborhood with a decent house. There are many like me. Your own numbers, 17.5% immigrants left. Okay. But 83% lived and even if many are considering at least 70% are happier.

Regardless of all the mud-slinging in the comments, I strongly advise any prospective immigrants to Canada to consider their situation/ aspirations seriously before making the move to Canada. While Canada is indeed a beautiful country, especially from spring to fall, there is no doubt that it has fallen behind severely in recent years. This is a massively underperforming country and people (Canadians and immigrants alike) are struggling big time. There is a massive leadership problem in Canada, where trivial problems get 99% of the attention. Real problems (which are easily solvable by the way) get little to no attention at all. Either there is very little will or the current administration is simply incompetent. Either way, some structural changes need to happen before Canada can recover.

I would never consider moving to the US, backward country. Would consider rest of world first.

The fall of Western civilization is on course. Greed and unbridled capitalism is destroying the world. Countries you should consider: Kuwait, Oatar, Dearborn, Michigan. Morocco, Algeria. Maybe Dubai.

Your insights into the challenges facing my Canada are thought-provoking. Like any country, Canada is changingy, and addressing the very diverse concerns of its citizens future is a must. We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

Canada was built by immigrants no doubt. When Canadians are unwilling to do the low pay hard labour, and give birth to kids, there has to be immigrants to fill the gap. Housing crisis is the elephant in the room, it has been around for quite a while. Remember one decade ago in Vancouver #donthaveonrmillion? Its worse now. International students became easy solution/target for politicians to blame because they cannot vote. They were considered as solution of labour shortage back during Covid then there was a labour shortage. Sean Fraser the minister of immigration back then made it super easy for international students to stay in Canada permanently. When he takes the office of Minister of Housing, he starts to point fingers to those students. Who let them into this country in the first place? We need more roads more houses. IRCC needs to work faster to get more skilled workers doctors into the country. Putting a cap on current immigration level is not a good idea.

This country needs skilled immigrants who are going to positively contribute to the well being of the country not the open borders that we presently have. Any economic migrants who turn up at our borders and airports should be immediately turned around and sent back to apply through legal channels not taken to the nearest hotels and financed at the taxpayers expense. Once upon a time a person wanting to come here had to have a job lined up and a bank account before they were considered. The international students plan is rediculous and out of hand. Our own indigenous population and homeless should be at the front of the line before any others are considered.

Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... As an American I have constantly heard how much better Canada is than the US. But I noticed a lot of things going on in Canada that made me question that narrative. It seems that people overestimated the benefits of Canada and down played the pluses of living in America. They did that in my opinion for ideological reasons because Canada has government healthcare. While healthcare is an important issue it is only one of many people should consider and they should consider them without bias when weighing the pros and cons of a country.
