Don’t bother coming if you don’t have degrees because with such little population jobs are extremely competitive \n2) doctors visits and emergency rooms don’t cost anything upfront but do expect an 8 hour wait or 12 in a big city. Doesn’t matter what your “emergency” is... get in line. We have the longest waits in the world for things like X-rays and MRI’s. True story look it up. \n3) we have the most expense cell phone plans in the world with the shittiest coverage. In all fairness we have a small population and a massive landmass. \n4) if you’re moving to BC, car insurance is government run. So it’s extremely expensive (I think also the most expensive in the world) and it’s awful... so don’t ever get into an accident) other provinces don’t run this way. \n5) gas in BC is also very expansive because of multiple taxes, it’s affordable most places in the prairies though \n6) drinking is 18+ everywhere except BC where it’s 19+ \n\nSo if you want to live somewhere “nice” move to BC. but you’ll be poor as fuck. \nWant to live somewhere affordable, move to the prairies but it’s awful. \nYou can’t move to Quebec if you don’t speak French fluently. I think some people forget that a Muslim is not a race but a religion. That religion comes with its own Bible that has horrific things in it. Christians get scorned all the time and nobody says anything. A Muslim gets the same treatment and everybody feels bad for them. It doesn’t make sense to me either. Maybe those who do not understand Muslims should pick up their Bible to get an idea of what they represent.

Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. I learned something new today from watching this documentary, the fact that they actually named a town & a park Africville in the great white north. Some people are naive while others are not when it comes to racism. I’m black and have absolutely never been racially profiled. In fact I was with my best friend who is white and he was brought into the back room for stealing even though he never stole anything. I would venture to suggest that part of the problem is one of language barrier? He's been in the US for 15 years and he's been in Canada for 2, and even now, he doesn't speak or understand a word of English! If he desires to live in Quebec later, he will also need to speak French? He really won't go far in any English/French language country, if, after all that time, he hasn't mastered the most basic terms in anything but Spanish!

Yeah, we're not so awful... I'm American, living in Canada, and honestly, I'm here for my husband, who is Canadian. I absolutely ADORE him. The only thing that annoys me about Canada is the fact they seem to hate diabetics, anyone on a low-carb diet, or anyone who just doesn't want to eat a ton of sugar. In fact I can't get anything sugar-free in a store (simple things, like sugar free coffeemate, sugarfree cake mix) unless I pay, I'm not even lying here, TWENTY TIMES THE PRICE on Amazon, (I'm not paying $85.00 for a 10.2oz canister of coffee creamer... WTF?) That is 3.49USD in any walmart. These people have to be kidding me.

Speaking as a white man I have to admit I don't quite understand the need for anyone to organize as a race in Canada. First generation clubs from whatever country, sure, but as a race? Is it the elephant in the room... American slavery?  I can't help but think that most perceived problems blacks have in Canada are due to American issues we see in movies and media.\nWe in Canada bend over backwards to offer opportunity to succeed. I personally, as do most, give any individual the opportunities they deserve but it's up to them to screw it up or not. To me, if any minority can't make it in this society they aren't trying.\nIt's actually worse in my mind to be white male in public forums because our views and opinions are marginalized and shouted down.
