Why don't these western nations changes their immigration to similar to all nations of the Middle east. there's no pathway to citizenship. Employers submit manpower needs and they will be sponsored till they are needed. Their visas are every 2 years and will be renewed if needed. they can bring their families but the main family member will shoulder their expenses. When theyre not needed anymore, then they all go home. kids can go to school but they pay for it.

So, you are an illegal immigrants for years, not planning to regulate your situation. Then, despite the lack of certainty on your situation, you decide to have a baby (I say decide as there are too many contraceptive options at hand nowadays so it is literally a decision made) so that that baby becomes an American citizen, yet with a family/parents without a clear and legal pathway. How does that make sense??? To me it doesn't and citizenship should be by conferral in case of any immigrant, even for the respecive descendants of those immigrants. That's how it is here in Australia. Hard and expensive process to apply to but it is the only way to keep your house in order. If one of your parents is Australian, then citizenship by descend applies. No other option. So simple.

These immigrants arrived legally and were granted legal status. In Canada, individuals must live in the country for five years before they can apply for citizenship. So, why should they be deported? I could understand if they had entered illegally and bypassed the proper legal process, but that is not the case here. Why would Canada adopt policies similar to those of Trump in the U.S.?\n\n-------\n@derekpam7149\nMy point is straightforward: these individuals followed the legal process to enter Canada and were granted legal status. They have adhered to the rules, and deporting them after they’ve done everything correctly seems unjust. Comparing this to Trump-era policies in the U.S. does not align with the values Canada upholds regarding fairness and due process. I’m asking why Canada would take such an approach when these people have complied with the law. Could you clarify what part of this seems complex to you? Perhaps you need to revisit your studies and review elementary education, as this is taught in schools. Canada is a 'land of immigrants.' It's part of history, long before you were born.\n\nI have no issues with deporting individuals who entered Canada illegally. However, these rules should not apply to people who migrated to Canada legally, are working as doctors, nurses, engineers, and so on, and are simply waiting for their citizenship. Your message is clearly irrelevant and discriminatory.

What about a baby born with one American and one immigrant parent? Then what happens with that baby, can they deny that child its citizenship even though literally half its bloodline was born and raised in the U.S.?

Americans want legal ways to citizenship to be improved but we cannot accept mass, unregulated immigration. It is not sustainable. Both parties can agree on that but we can’t agree on how to fix it. The issue is that there are too many people coming and it’s overwhelming our system. It’s sad to see people upset but we have to put our own country’s interests first.

Please don't lie. Until the democrats have changed it, one of the parents had to be legally in the USA for a child to qualify for the USA citizenship. Now the democrats try to delete the difference between legal and illegal immigrants (or rather criminals because crossing other country's border is a criminal act).

I’m an Indian passport holder living abroad due to personal reasons. I’m eligible for the citizenship of a country that most people would dream to get but I do not like to apply for the same because then I would have to renounce my Indian citizenship (India does not allow dual citizenship). Indians themselves are responsible for visa rejections because most of our people (not all) go under the disguise of tourists with the intention to settle in that country. What kind of treatment would you expect then? I came legally and despite never compromising with my cultural values, I have always felt welcomed in the country that I live in. It’s about how you present yourself in the country that you live in. People are good everywhere in this world.

CRIMINALS Want Our citizenship ‼️?️❤️????️

The irony here is that despite India ranking this low on the passport index, the government doesn’t allow dual citizenship. No wonder Indian celebrities are giving up their Indian Citizenship

Birthright citizenship is being abused and should be ended
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
cry me a river some people who immigrate here legally had to wait for many years before they finally got citizenship. What makes you entitled to our resources and our land? we are not a nation of immigrants we are a nation of colonists. The left is using these illegals to get votes out of them. The dems would keep them poor by keeping them on the government tit payed for by our generous tax payers. Democrats also love victims.

Birthright citizenship was intended for the ex-slaves.
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
soo \nTrump can pardon his whole familly for unknown reasons, but cant do the same for people been in the states for many years but unable to get citizenship for whatever reason? make sense ngl
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
As a sovereign nation we have a right to do protect our boarder's and enforce our laws as does most other countries. Birthright citizenship was granted in 1868 and is now used to exploit this country and others in many countries have birth houses and making millions selling our citizenship so many want the exploitation to continue rather than do what's in the best interest of the U.S.

Is it not fair ? Guess what? I have been waiting for 14 years for my green card;5 years for my citizenship. ?????that fair? Just crossing and get every single thing for free
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
Birthright citizenship was given to former slaves in 1868 by the 14th amendment. Unfortunately, the wording is so broad that it has been interpreted to mean people born to illegals! \n\nTrump's EO will be contested, of course. It will be decided by SCOTUS. \n\nI think an amendment to end birthright citizenship would be a better approach.

Birth right citizenship ? is trump deporting himself and Elon musk
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
From what I've talked to with friends and acquaintances that are 2nd & 3rd generation Americans it had taken their parents and family 10 years to 18 years to be granted US citizenship! So a few months of waiting is not going to work it takes years!! Majority of ppl i spoke with are of mexican descent
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
Damn my brother in law is a genius , he is Mexican and his son was born in Boston last year and the baby got the citizenship if he tried to do that now his son wouldn’t be American
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
I don’t like trump anymore , I thought the problem was illegal immigrants but sons of tourists born in USA should be allowed to have the citizenship
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
There hasn't been a SCOTUS decision on 14th Amendment birthright citizenship. No other country in the world does this, and this was not the intent of 14th. The intent was for just the freed slaves to give citizenship after Confederates denied this to them
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
No worries on the 14th amendment. We have the approval of the house, senate and states. This amendment also does not guarantee citizenship….
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
The 14th Amendment does not allow birthright citizenship to anybody. It was for people under the jurisdiction of the U.S. If you are not under the jurisdiction because you are illegal, your children are not U.S. Citizens. It is very clear. People come here with IDS from their own country, just to have a baby. That is not how the Constitution interprets this.
|
| 2025-01-21 | 0 |
The Constitution does not give birthright citizenship...a Supreme Court interpretation did. It would not need States only Congress or the Supreme Court

Indian seeking asylum ? How does that even work. Who are you running from, poverty ? It's absurd. Their country is safer than the whole african continent and half of the Middle East. I am in hyderabad now, i should seek asylum here and see if the Indian government will give me shelter and citizenship lol i highly doubt

Please stop criticizing every ranking, every index. Look at the amount of Indian illegal immigrants almost everywhere. UK reported 1lac of them in 2024. Why do you think any country wants this!! I mean Indians are ok to die and enter other countries illegally, drive cabs, become cleaners, earn below minimum wage than to live in India. Look at the people quitting Indian citizenship every year. Pls Palki, don't make it seem that India is amazing and all is the conspiracy of the West. High networth ppl have left India. Take some ownership. Criticism of your country for good doesn't make you bad. Waise bhi GDP me top bhi ho jaae aur per capita income low rahe toh koi danka nhi baj rha hai desh ka..

Bad reputation of India especially around lots of illegal indian immigrants and always looking for short cuts to ditch indian citizenship by fraudulent means
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
But palki you only said that they were flaunting their indian passports as their proud ownership also it was also true that year later they may have thrown same those passports to aquire foreign citizenship. How come this happen?

We Indians must agree that India is a $hithole country. First agree on this premise, so there is scope of improvement and think what to make our country prosperous.\nIn a prosperous country, every citizen will have high standard of living, will never dream of escaping away to get PR or citizenship of another nation.\nIMO, India will remain a $hithole as long as the population is above 400 million.

Does this host watched tv shows such as “nothing to declare” and “danger Tv”? Many people think that because they think that they are cleaver enough to circumvent visa interviews, falsify documents required to impress foreign embassy staff, get visa on false pretenses because they have money, connections in domestic government or someone overseas to curry favor them, then no wonder your visa application would be rejected and fees forfeited or you would be turned down entry to your dream country on arrival and deported back to your home country. People even dare to charter a flight to Maxico with a plan to cross the border and into USA, like a flash mob, without a visa. Well you don’t have entitlement for that, just like you don’t like Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Rohingya crossing your borders by any means.\nHow many Indian agents have befooled fellow Indians who want to go and work in UAE, Behrin, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia but landed on one of the beaches of India or have their Passport taken away to make them work like a slave in servitude by their fellow Indian contractors? Let us talk about that.\nLet us talk about how many Indian parents and students so foolish to see admission in universities or unaccredited fake colleges in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Russia and Russian federation countries but no serious intention to study but intention not to return but figure out magic trick to PR and citizenship without really caring to understand how immigration works and what would actually qualify to deserve immigration visa? Sham marriages is one of many tricks that people pursue despite knowing that chances of success are really very remote. Let us talk about that.\n\nLet us talk about fake colleges that “donations” to admit “students” who failed to perform because their parents have money to justify entitlement to buy degrees and fake colleges print it out in return to “donations”?\n\nIt doesn’t end here. You get to these destinations by hook or crook, you eventually get busted, yet you have nerves to be cocky, pretend to be robbed, discriminated, cheated, victimized instead and gather nerve to seek PR, green card, white card as compensation and even a job? I mean how far you would go thinking world is stupid and you can prove it.\n\nSORRY, there are hard working, intelligent and qualified Indians that get visa and there are people who get visa on family migration quota for example but many others, give me a break.

Stop having kids if you cant take care of them indias problemas are not the worlds problem over 28 million indians have fled india and even renounced their indian citizenship shamefull \n\nThe 25 million who traveled abroad did the come back ???\n\n5th largest economia where 90 % of Indians are poor ?????? all trying to flee India as they hate India\n\nThe West doesn't rely on Indian talents Indians rely on the the western companies they work for for dirt cheap by the way ?
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
This is the exact reason why most BJP ministers make sure their kids to get US or UK passport as they themself has no faith in their performance and holding Indian citizenship. Best example is Jaishankar Ji. After his term is over, he can comfortably move to US with his son and settle a better life there.

I usually agree with everything you say, in this case it’s sadly illegal immigrants and abuse of visas. Come as a tourist or hidden in a truck, work as a take away driver. \n\nMany Indians say dual citizenship leads to dual loyalty, if U.K. or USA open up their country to India. Except the 5% of the rich 95% will emigrate for economic reasons.\n\nOnly solution is for India to grow exponentially with our per capita income rivalling that of the west.

Western Countries have become increasingly discriminatory towards Indians especially ..they are more busy granting asylum to Caliphate coming from all over across borders ....\n\n\nSo shove the ranking ...\nThe issue is open and pure discrimination against Indians.\n\nA handful of Indians break rules agreed .\n.but a majority have economic power and just want to travel ...the majority is become a victim of the minority idiots as usual ....(Take a Hint ) ...\n\nI am a British Citizen I followed process procedures and got my Citizenship screw visas I was never in my life denied a visa as I was truthful ...\n\nPoints are many the wise will understand ...
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Plain and simple, Indians brainwashed about holding citizenships abroad whereas the reality of those of us who are with foreign visas, realize it is just hype. We Indians are succors. Best advice is never ever believe touts, media or friends that it is greener in the West. Go on a short work contract not take a loan or sell up and leave. One of the family memvers may end up with a part time or casual or a fixed contract job. These Western countries are unlike job visas to the Gulf so be very careful before making a move in hope of a better life.

Passport mobility was one of the reasons my parents made their choices in the 1970s and 80s. I made choices in the 2000s that increased my options. My kids and I have three passports plus an overseas Indian citizenship. It would be great to see the Indian passport gain mobility — I have always been surprised by its low rankings over the years.

65 years old. Left Canada in 1980. Renounced Canadian citizenship in 2018. For me, it was the best decision of my life. The Canada of my childhood (1960s,70s) is totally gone.

because you got your citizenship, made your investments, earned enough money to travel around the world without having to worry about shaving your beard for a visa interview ever. and all thanks to the secular establishment of canada and the credibility of the canadian passport.

Indians are often very dishonest! We have 1,000,000 Indians here who obtained a visa but then never went back home when their visa expired. They are here illegally and working here illegally. An Indian merchant at a convenience store tried to steal a winning lottery ticket from me a few days ago! Several Indians have gone to prison for stealing lottery tickets from customers including HUGE Multi $Million Dollar WINNERS! \n\nI have had Indian immigrants be rude to me even though I was born in Washington DC and my ancestors have lived here for centuries! \n\nWe are having to actually pass laws here to prevent Indians from discriminating agains their fellow Indians in work and housing due to them being Dalits, or ‘Untouchables’ which proves that Indians coming here have no interest whatsoever in democracy and equality. Indians are coming here solely for economic reasons. They are having babies here to take advantage of, abusing, our birthright citizenship law. \n\nOver 700,000,000 Indians don.t even have access to a toilet and yet your government is spending many $Billions on aircraft carriers and a massive military buildup. Get your priorities straight, build safe toilets first for your people! Indians need to remain in India and Make India Great Again!

Those who are CANADIAN citizens should and will remain in Canada. Also, my Canadian friends, please control your extremist-groups with Canadian citizenship, from working for sedition against India, Airline bombings, and Terror against India. Those with Indian passports, living in Canada are up to Canada to send out anytime.

Romanian here, with 8 years in Germany, still debating if a citizenship is worth the effort though I use German both at my work place and for regular tasks.
\nMy opinion is that Germany has a chaotic approach to absorbing skilled workers.
\nI agree completely with the statement that this approach led it to absorb, far more easily, unskilled and, a lot of times, problematic immigrants rather than skilled professionals. I see this happening in communities and online groups. This also contributes to social and political backlash.
\nCombining economy issues, social backlash, decreasing purchasing power and pressure on housing, Germany is becoming less attractive by the hour for skilled workers.

If your not born here or got your citizenship here you don't have a right to nothing and if you dont do things correctly or legally and things expire you should be sent back period. You are not entitled to anything in another country your not from If you don't want to or bother to follow rules customs and the way things have always been here. You aren't special just because you are an international student above rules laws and regulations what gives you the right to special privileges others must follow to remain here indefinitely but not you?
