From a human and a historical perspective, migrants have shaped this country. However we can't just have an open border. It has to stop. We want to allow people in, of course - but not like this.

If we stopped these people at the border and made them stay in the country they entered, Canada, and Mexico. How long do you think they would tolerate this before they stopped it. The cost to house, feed, medical, clothe, document, and get jobs for would mess up their economy. But because they want to come to the U.S.A. they do not have to worry about it.\nWe cannot solve the world's problems, all we can do is help without destroying our own country.

You do realize that Trump didn't actually win anything on either border right? All both countries did was speed up actions that had already been promised to Biden regarding the same issues. But now Trump gets to take credit for it because he's the one in office. Except for the increased ice raids, Trump did absolutely nothing.

What a crock of crap! The USA has the problem of weak borders, so they need to step up their border patrol. Canada is securing their borders because of the frequent and much more abundant cases of drugs and guns being smuggled into Canada! The stepped up Canadian border enforcement was already well underway months before Trump made his tariff threats. \nThink about it, the 43lbs of fentanyl that was smuggled in from Canada, at the US border, is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the flow of it that comes in through the ports. Also think about when you cross a border, it’s the country you are crossing into that checks you out. Classic case of Trump blaming others for US failure.

Real simple.. Have bus drivers on the Canadian side check id if they're going across the border.. If ya don't have a passport then you don't get on the bus. I'm a Canadian btw and we've been invaded with millions of Indians over the last 9 years and we're sick of the BS as well. I'm sorry, I have no sympathy for individuals who want to break our laws and then demand that we take care of them. Why should we feel bad how about criminals who are breaking our laws? We have individuals who are living in the streets, we have veterans who are not being taken care of, and a host of other things let the government has failed to do. I have a question for all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who want to enter the US: Okay, if the country opens the borders for you, what/how will you serve the country? With what resources? With what money? Thanks to the democrates who allowed so many illegal migrants in this country. They are shakled because they refused to voluntarely leave and to avoid riots while traveling! Being an Indian and who lived abroad (legally) for half a decade i will only say this you shouldn’t be migrating to a country illegally,if you are there illegally you should be ready for getting treated as someone who broke the law.The Indian government statement read its just protocol which is actually true.As a fellow indian i do feel sorry for the people who got deported but again you weren’t there legally,You should have expected this to be a possibility when you took the decision to cross the border illegally.

We just can't build a wall for the whole huge Canadian border. Also, they are still crossing over the Mexican border state of the art wall/fence with ladders. The ONLY solution is to have a huge border patrol force that will be guaranteed to catch and arrest all illegal aliens. Then, the illegal aliens will be either instantly deported after paying a significantly large fine to the US Treasury OR if they cannot or won't pay the fine, sentenced to a dentention camp for a set length of time as a punishment, maybe one year of hard labor and minimalistic amenities-that is, NO MORE EBT cards, no more lux hotels. Once their detention sentence is completed, they will be quickly and efficiently deported to either their own country of origin or Canada or Mexico. IF it's done right, I don't think there will be many repeat offenders.
