For these slow people, let me explain how this works: tariffs work as a tax on poor people. First time in the White House, Trump put a 25% tariff on China goods. Dollar Tree, which imports from china usually to sell everything for a dollar had to pay 25 cents on a dollar in taxes to collect the goods from the ports. So it passed that tax to the prices. So went from everything $1 to everything $1.25. a 25% percent inflation. Then China stopped buying soybeans from USA. Farmers went broke and Trump have to give them 29 billion in handouts so they won’t go broke. Genius?

As an NRI for a decade in Germany, I can assure you that not a single person in the developed western world looks at India with a nicer opinion. They think of it as a necessary baggage. They will only allow Visa on Arrival/E-Visa for people whom they respect and would like to be in the country. While I do not want to get into how some Indians behave when they are on their EU trip, Indians in India do not behave well too. This involves hygiene, roads, infrastructure, intelligence, corruption, etc. Indians tend to look at the Indian flag with tears in their eyes while listening to A.R. Rahman’s “Vande Mataram” with Bharat Bala’s video. But the reality in the western world is this: India is a loud, messy, unhygienic, poorly organized country filled with corruption and crime everywhere. Now, why would a well-developed country open their doors to potentially unruly 1.4 billion people? The reason for visa rejection is that a lot of them simply apply for a tourist visa and never leave. If someone really needs to travel, they will have the money and the motivation to apply multiple times. Hence, the first check with multiple layers of bureaucracy.

What makes it worse, a lot of these Indians, especially in the prairies, already have their groceries subsidized by federal government, and they STILL abuse the food bank. It’s not just food bank either, they all apply for welfare and immediately get assistance even though it takes months to get as a natural born citizen, and that’s even if you get it. I was shocked to find out the federal government was paying indians to move out of Ontario and BC into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba because the coastal cities infrastructure was about to implode in certain areas. So they they told these people to move inland, and if they do and stay there for 18-24 months, they get $3300 dollars a month every month for that duration. My disability cheque, that I paid into for 40 years of hard work, comes out to 950 dollars a month. This is absurd. These people get literally everything handed to them, and STILL abuse the programs meant for those who are struggling. I have never in my life met such an arrogant and utterly dishonest and disgusting group of peoples in my life. This isn’t just one or two bad apples, this is happening in every city around here. They also get first dibs on any and all medical treatment and specialists. Many local residents who have already been on waiting lists for years to get treatment are getting bumped in order to accommodate the new invaders. It’s basically impossible to find a doctors or dentists office accepting new patients. ER rooms are full constantly of these people coming just for runny noses and coughs, clogging up the already strained healthcare system. The prairies hospitals (at least where I live) were barely holding together before this nonsense. Yet somehow, this is all just white people being racist huh? \nWell I’ll tell you what, I’m not white, my people were on this land long before anyone else can claim to be, and while I’ll admit there’s often still a lot of animosity between natives and whites, youd be quite surprised to see how many of us are in agreement towards the current behaviour of these people.

Immigrant families who are here should probably have conversations with their children about the possibility of being deported together and what that could look like; now is the time to have a plan, not the time to sit and wonder and wait for the inevitable. Its the responsibility of the adults in the families to have thought of all scenarios prior to relocating their minors and putting minors at risk of rape, assault, trafficking, and orphanhood. While I am praying for these individuals and have great compassion for them, the priority needs to be those who are paying thousands and waiting years to come in legally. Fair is fair. America and Americans first.

I have heard the average just to have baby in the US is 7-10K not including prenatal care, here in Canada it is zero…\nI have been pregnant 3 times, sadly lost my first 2, and I have had 2 complete knee replacements and several spinal cord surgeries…I would be dead for sure if I lived in the States, here I have paid nothing, I have insurance and that pays for my medication I need to take. So you seem to be blaming the Country denying Indians a visa. Break down the rejections. Indians like any other third world country are known to use these avenues to escape from India. Don't blame the countries for taking time to assess. Blame the Indian society/economics that is forcing people to exit the country. See what can be done to fix that first, so that people don't want to exit your motherland first.

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. I worked as a nurse in Florida when I first graduated. It was devastating to see how stressed people were about being hospitalized because they knew how their life finances were going to be wiped out. In Contrast Canadian patients only need to concentrate on being well again. \nWomens rights are being rapidly eroded in America. Childbirth is covered in Canada,abortions are legal and women get 1 year of paid maternity leave.\nOur children don’t have to participate in active shooter drills because of our tight gun laws. Our taxes are higher but the social networks are covered by these taxes. \nThe Canadian way of life is generally ,slower and ,I find, more accepting of immigrants, LGBTQ folks, and marginalized people.\nPersonally I moved back to Canada because I missed the change of seasons and the slower pace. I enjoyed my time living in America and have many fond memories of the time I spent there.Moving back to Canada was the right move for me

As a former immigrant who has been a Canadian citizen for over 40 years I am mindful that too many immigrants get into the country too easily - not like in my time when I had to actually qualify to come here. We, the older generation (including immigrants), helped to build Canada, but the newcomers just come here to take what they can. There are too many new immigrants who should not be here in the first place, and they have no intention of assimilating. What a mess!\nI have to ask you a question, though. What if the high influx was from Sweden or Germany? Would you still be that interested in the story?

Germany as a society never bothered to learn what is like to live with foreiners. The society doesnt think or care about learning or teaching reapect towards different culture. At first i thought its just a matter of time, but after over 10 yrs here i realised that they dont really 'intend' to accept this new segment of tax payers. They just 'try' to 'tolerate' AT BEST. Germany is so culturally behind. Missed entire 90s when other countries learn about globalisation and all, because the mighty Germany doesnt need anything other than glorious themselves who has everything and can provide everything themselves. I was never intend to settle down in Germany so i didnt bother so much, but seems to me they are missing out for those who came with intention of staying.. shame.
