Probably Canada is making more money thanks to the savings of those who are moving in Canada and bring here all they have. In addition to these money Canada has the continuously financial benefit from the relatives of emigrants who send money or visit and spend money in Canada. I don't know if there is a statistics about this but probably somebody know well. Thus Canada is spending less than is gaining by the emigration system. Another aspect is related with the family problem. It seems in Canada there are many separated families, divorced. Probably this is because Canada is taking emigrants good for work by separating from their familiei. It was not different in the past with the slaves. Thus the people arriving here are missing the solidity of a complete family , with parents, grand parents, grand grand parents. A young family has more stability living with their large family. The disruption of the family by the emigration system has the result in more people living alone due to divorce.

Never buy a rental property in Canada, our government will continue to support criminals. Your hard earned money in this country already subsidizes housing, food and other essentials for people that make bad decisions.

We would like to have you as a neighbor here in Mexico Alina, I'm not going to lie to you, we have some states in which, like even in Canada, insecurity is present, but considering how professional and analytical you are, I think you could choose some strategic place here in Mexico so you can continue with your profession. Can't speak to the situation regarding immigrants. However, NO Canadian that I know wants to emigrate.\n\nHigh taxes.....all relative. Besides that, many serious people have given everything in their lives to legalize their status in Canada, through studies and work over the past few years, and now they are having to experience total scarcity in this cold country, without being able to return to their home countries under reasonable conditions since they have already left everything behind. The true reason is that canada as is most developed countries is an aging population with birth rate of 1.43 (below replacement). If continued your GDP will suffer because you don't have enough able bodied workers to support your aging population, just look at Japan. That's why governments are importing foreign talent from less developed countries to deal with this shortage.

For the past several years, Canada has only been a stopping off point or a temporary layover before you embarked on your next journey so you're not really losing anything. You're a citizen of the world, really. You're just basically looking for a home base of sorts that makes economic sense as you continue you're nomadic lifestyle. Dont be sad, you're not really losing anything at all because you can always come back and stay a while whenever you so desire. I think you just want a place where you're safe and the numbers make sense and that's OK. You go girl!!❤

Much of the current social problems in Canada and elsewhere are still reverberation from the lock down in 2020. Things are improving and will continue to.

I see alot of doom and gloom. But Canada is still one of the best countries to live in. Alot of Millenials and Gen Z think that becuase we are born in this country we are entitled to certain standards of living without sacrifice. You have to live below your means. You have to be willing to relocate to a part of Canada that may be looked down upon by others. You have to be willing to start at the ground floor of a company and work your way up ecrimimentally even if you\n just start out by cleaning toilets. Immigrants come to Canada without a dime to their name yet become millionaires through hardwork amd determination. You have to find a partner that is willing to sacifice too and stick with them through the ups and downs. Love and challenge your children to be better. Live below you means and invest the difference. You have to be patient this will not come over night but in decades and if you continually build little by little you will suceed. You can do it. Dont submit to stormy seas.

Canada will sacrifice its quality of life and hard fought freedoms if you continue on this pathway. The politicians always ensure they and their families are not impacted. You do not need more cheap labour.

With so many countries now offering a digital nomad visa, that fits your business, I think you could do the transition successfully and lower your cost of living as well, plus also have many amazing adventures. \nI lived abroad in Spain, and I am in a completely different life stage than you, and I returned to Canada as many things are easier being in Canada as a Canadian (and some other factors specific to my own situation). Canada is a beautiful country but screwed up by bad government. The situation in Canada is not positive and will continue to deteriorate. Alina hasn’t figured out yet that all countries of any consequence are run by the same syndicate. They control the puppet politicians and the fake political parties. Canada is still benefiting from its previous homogenous culture and economy but now things are deteriorating rapidly. When immigration continues at unsustainable levels you have to ask who is benefitting from this. Then you understand it is the multinational corporations and the elite who need hungry desperate masses they can exploit. They are turning the first world into 3 rd world countries and most citizens of Canada the US and Europe will become poorer because of this.

But not just that - these new immigrants become fodder of cheap labor that pushes out our very own Canadian citizens from these positions, with the more marginalized ones ending up on the streets. \n \nThere is a Motel 6 in my neighborhood that has been taken over by the Canadian government and converted to temporary housing for new immigrants. All paid for by Canadian taxpayers. You are earning a living by creating videos about Canada and expressing your concerns about the country. Canada has always been and will continue to be one of the greatest nations in the world. Like any other country, it has its share of difficulties, but despite these challenges, it remains an exceptional place to live.

Canada needs better immigration laws. Also better screening for those who are chosen to stay. I’ve Hurd of so many people coming to Canada just to live off of welfare and child support benefits, and many who actually want to stay to work and continue a career are deported.

I'm a Canadian citizen. And I think it's the time when Canadian & US governments must think to build a border wall on the Northern border. I hate these illegal Aliens sneaking in Canada & then in the US. Offcours these illegal immigrants are being a reason for damaging the local labor market wages. Immigration will not STOP ANYTIME SOON. Canada should have foreseen that the country would need more people 30-40 years ago and provided the resources to encourage Canadians to birth more children. Salaries are laughable, childcare is overwhelmingly expensive, food is expensive, rent is high. How do you expect Canadians to birth 4 -5 children when they are earning significantly less than their American counterparts. Immigrants will continue to troop into Canada where we like it or not.

Great assessment. My wife left Vancouver 22yrs ago. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. Sadly the residents would rather smoke a joint than vote for a conservative govt and attend a church. Canada is huge but only has handful of cities that offer employment opportunities, if govt wants to continue immigration they have to build new cities and cheap houses.

I am an immigrant myself and could not agree more with it. The government is bringing in people blindly at the cost of jacking up prices to unbelievable levels for shelter, food and so on. Jobs are taken away from locals and has been handed over to new immigrants, our students are struggling to find jobs. Crime is on the rise . It almost seems like the they gave up the immigration vetting system and are bringing in people without due delegence. This is NOT the Canada I came to more than a decade ago. If you have a Canadian passport you’re Canadian that’s it.\n\nThe issue lies in continuing to bring in large amount of people with no skills the country needs. The infrastructure is starting to buckle because of that. \n\nAt the very least they should consider shutting down immigration in the large cities to provide labor to smaller towns.\n\nAnother problem is letting foreigners buy properties in Canada who from countries that don’t allow Canadians to buy,\nfor example China. I'm 27 and I have 35k saved. I've made so much money over the years that has been spent on rent, paying back student debt, braces, food, taxes, my business expenses, and life in general. I'm hoping my business will continue to grow to the point where I don't need to be worried about retiring... but honestly, Canada is making it really hard. Per capita GDP in Canada has been falling as immigration rises. Remove the real estate bubble from the calculation and the decline is even starker. Canada has absurdly low capital investment (outside of real estate) leading to declining productivity per worker. Without drastically curbing immigration to tighten up the labor market real wages will continue to fall.

I’m an immigrant from Europe, who’s been in Toronto for a decade and all I can say is that if this is going to continue to happen, I’ll be the first out of the country in the next couple of years as it’s unsustainable to continue bringing more people from others countries and specially from non western countries as it seems difficult for some to adopt Canadian values. Canada is going down the hill at an unprecedented pace.

International students contribute over CA$22.3 billion per year to the Canadian economy, so I don't think the government is going to stop that, they need that money to continue the growth of the Canadian economy, Canada is run by few monopoly companies that the main problem of Canada

I can't help but think that the phrase 'a country of immigrants' is just a sneaky way of saying 'a country of colonialism'. I dont know that much accountability or reconciliation has happened in Canada over the last 300 years. It began with governments and corporations doing whatever they wanted and could do to make money and extract resources off of this land (regardless of whom it affected), and continues to be just that. The increase of immigrants is largely, as far as I know, being used to a) bring in more revenue and economic stimulus (which is more and more ending up in the hands of a few very wealthy families) and b) fuel the labour force of large corporations that would rather soak the profits up themselves, hire low-wage PR or temporary foreign worker labour, than pay Canadian residents properly to work those jobs. I love immigrants, have many 1st gen immigrants friends, and think they do bring a lot to Canada. We all do, as we were all immigrants at some point. At the same time, the immigration system is very complicit in looking at immigration as a resource in aiding those rich families/ corporations in colonialism, and you could argue that this overreliance is abuse of the immigration system. Certainly, we have seen this with colleges. This feels especially true over the last several years with huge jumps in immigration numbers with growing inequality for long term residents. So the result is a very quickly changing world that is not helping many Canadians feel more secure about their future, which is a recipe for unrest. Am I wrong? Genuinely I am looking to have an open discussion here!

I am a permanent resident of Canada and born in the US. I live right outside of Montreal. I actually went to Plattsburgh, NY three times in past two months and each time while on my way back from Plattsburgh, I would encounter several migrants at the bus stop shown on the video. In one of my encounters I saw a group of them wearing ankle monitors. I would see vans standing at the gas station picking up and dropping off migrants. These drivers are helping the problem just to make money. I just heard on the news that greyhound changed the bus stop in Plattsburgh a couple of weeks ago and I wonder if it's because of the illegal migrants. I have been going to Plattsburgh by bus for many years and I've never seen migrants inundate the area as I have in the past year. I knew about Mexicans flying over to Canada so they can walk across the boarder into the US but I didn't know it was this bad. I don't see this problem going away unless Canada works with the US to solve it. It's getting scary out there because there are criminals who has committed serious crimes in their home country and come here on a clean slate to continue their criminal activity. When does this torture end?

Amazing it took this long to figure it out. El Chapo was running drugs down thru Canada for decades. Heroin to Seattle and Cocaine to Chicago. The Jamaicans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans ran drugs to the East Coast through Canada for years. Just before weed was legalized, everyone knew the best weed was coming from british columbia..
