To the Americans who are outraged by Trump, you need to stand up and truly fight like the MAGAts did when they stormed the capital on Jan 6th. If you really have a problem with whats going on you need to take a stand and make a difference. If you just sit back then you are allowing it to go on. Sorry if thats unfair to say but we're living in a time where your Leader is going to only get worse and worse and start a World War if he isnt stopped and held accountable. This level of Terrorism against Canada, Greenland, Palestine, Ukraine, Mexico, Japan and China CANNOT go unpunished. Throughout history if this happened 20+ years ago this would have NEVER happened because people would stand up against oppressors and dictators. Its time to do just that.

CNN correspondence never gives the more impactful concerns - in this case, the concern should be the fact that DT is attacking Canada, our friends, and Mexico, our friends - because he's a fkn traitor - and the US Constitution that says it's our American duty to stop people like him. Sorry to burst your bubble guys - the Canadians are full of bluster. This guy is a loser. All Trump haters have found a straw to hang on to even though it borders on being traitorous. There were two things that Canada had to do to avoid Trump's tariffs. Increase our Defense spending and stop the flow of drugs and illegal aliens entering the US thru Canada. Trudeau only talked about the drug issue. If Trudeau cancels the $ 40 Billion unsolicited contract to SNC Lavalin, and instead gives that $ 40 Billion to Canada's military to buy new weapons and train more soldiers Trump will, I am positive, immediately drop the tariffs against Canada!

Us sane Americans are afraid of what this will mean for us and how we will survive, but I also don't fault Canada, as my fascist President has brought this upon us. And if anything, hopefully this might be a step toward stopping Trump's tyranny. I stand with Canada and I stand with the USA and my fellow Americans, but FDT. This is not my America or the America that my grandparents and other ancestors fought for.

This man has destroyed our economy and done everything he could to stop international trade of LNG and oil by shutting down all pipeline and LNG PROJECTS WE HATE THIS MAN. Tariffs on Canada would likely reduce real gross domestic product to zero in 2025 if implemented beyond a year and lead to a 2% contraction in 2026 with a peak unemployment rate of more than 8%. Trump told Canada if you did TWO THINGS, there would be no tariffs on Canada. One, stop illegal immigrants from pouring into the USA from Canada. Two, stop illegal drugs from coming into the USA from Canada. Did Trudeau comply with President Trump's request? If so, there must be a lack of communication to verify what has transpired. If not, then Trump imposed tariffs for lack of compliance. Now, if Canada has already complied yet the Trump admin imposed tariffs anyway, then that is a slap in the face to our neighbors to the north and the American people should be outraged and let Trump know it.

How does this make sense? Trump being the stupid ass he has always been, put tariffs on imported goods from Canada causing US citizens to pay more for goods from Canada. So PM Trudeau sets tariffs on goods coming in from the US causing CAnidian citizens to pay more for goods imported from the US.\nHaving said that, I do see that PM Trudeau will be causing Canadian citizens to stop buying imported US products, slapping Trump in the face and causing hardship to US manufacturers. This should cause blowback from US manufacturers towards Trump'a stupidity.\nOh, ?Trump

As a u.s citzen I'm appalled and ashamed of my president. It's got nothing to do with Putin, or at least very little. Trump wants the tariff money for his billionaire tax cuts. That's it.\n\nEveryone is making this much more complex than it is. If it is going to be 25% or even 50% with reciprocal tariffs, we simply DO NOT import American goods into Canada (if our retailers don't order them, there is nothing they can do) and if we export, the consumer is paying those tariffs and we continue to manufacture. I honestly think that is the best, maybe the only, solution. If tariffed countries stop buying American goods, maybe Trumputin will reconsider. And if he doesn't, he doesn't. He isn't known for his brain power.
