Even though if you ask me or anyone with two working eyes, the children are definitely not his or hers, they receive huge tax free cash payments regardless if he works or not ever because he has a learning disability, I guess you know he’s been as he says, but I have my life in prison. He was telling me his family of five all in with a free housing voucher, food voucher, smart phone voucher, electricity voucher, transportation allowance, 100% total coverage for much needed dental care, the best of all they receive a gargantuan $7400 a month in cash benefit allowance for the entire family. Although it’s kind of sad that my friendly neighbor, Mr. Lu Juan Jesus Garcia-Mendoza briefly states every single time I see him as always kind of rubbing it in, that he sends back $5,000* every month to his other wife and kids? ????

She really said “Why are we seeing this right now?!?” I don’t care who you voted for at this point do what you believe. This is sadly the right decision. Asylum is a special status reserved for people in imminent danger, it shouldn't be confused with economic migration. The folks crossing through the US are already in a safe country, relatively speaking. We let in a million people legally last year and most end up in major cities that lack the infrastructure to fully support them and creates undue hardship for already struggling Canadians. We are a generous nation but migration has to be balanced with affordability and opportunity for locals. This is all absurd based on outdated models of economic growth. Tax the damn billionaires that hide money offshore and build capacity for all then we can help those in danger more but we have such issues with poverty, healthcare, education, roads,food affordability and a housing crisis. Time people put Canadians interests first.

It's about time human beings realise we all need a better life, we need each other, I may be living my best life today, but tomorrow, I may be fleeing for a better life, safety for my life and my family. An important factor as always been for me the different of murders, mugging, rapes, theft, people killed by firearms each year up to 38 000 a year in the US, add other types of weapons, and many more. In Canada we have clean water, lakes everywhere, we have so much more good timber for building, land for farming etc. The cost of health care in the US and schools can easily ruin them, their parents and families. Canada health care is mostly free for everyone, although seemed slow by many, but is it slow or are they worried to see a doctor to realize nothing is wrong with them ?? Going to see a doctor for a cold, a bad night sleep etc are not really worth a doctors time or theirs. The education system in Canada educate their citizens, watching Youtube videos about Americans being asked common questions like : Which 2 countries border the USA?? Sadly most are morons and think it is Europe and France LOL Parents and children's have a way better time when they give birth and spending time with their families ;-) You might get better pay in the US, but then you have to worry about getting shot, robbed or killed, get your car or stolen, house broken into etc. Plus add all the scammers and scams in the USA, that citizens, non citizens and politicians and city officials and even cops do, no thank you.

Canada is what you would call an enabler when it comes to druggies and crazy people. You can have Canada and their liberal and policed country. At one time is was a great country. I lived there once and went back and forth for 30 years and watched the government get worse and worse. The people are great but the government is not. I watched it deteriorate over 30 some years and now the liberals got a strangle hold on it and they are chocking it to death. Beautiful country but the woke liberals have destroyed it. It is no longer the Canada people once knew. So sad, but now I am watching the very same thing happening to the U.S. but I hope we are able to stop it before it gets too far. Well everyone, the option is to go into a system like the United States has , which incidentally is far from perfect itself, my spouse was in emergency for five hours last Saturday night before anyone looked at her, , which the system will spiral in to a business and if you think you have problems now, just wait till what’s down in the future. As a Canadian who has lived in the United States the last seven years, our good family healthcare is $1270 US a month, which incidentally has a $1000 deductible and a 10% co-pay on everything we experience, and trust me an MRI scan ( yes , just a scan, not surgery) for your brain is costed out at $7000, so be prepared to pay your deductible and 10% of it along with all the other attending doctor charges, even with good healthcare at 1270U.S. a month ! That monthly healthcare premium is almost $1600 a month Canadian. Canadians complain about taxes being too high also, but that is my profession, and when you round out the two , there may be 2 to 3% adjusted for the exchange rate higher and you still get a lot greater bang for the buck. Also, your higher education in the United States is easily 2 to 3 times of what you’re paying for in Canada. I know it’s not optimal, however trust me you still have it good in Canada, I find so many immigrants complain about it when they come to Canada, Yet they are living in a relatively safe and secure country, just a little bit of appreciation would be nice. Is it always what I can get, how about maybe what you can give? Maybe the answer for everyone and candidates to start to pay to go see a doctor if you can have the doctors availability, that is the sad truth, and I’m quite sure people will not like that by any means when they see the charges. Trust me ,Canada is obviously far from perfect, but is overall still a pretty darn good country, for somebody that dislikes it so much, they need to go back to where they’re from, and compare, it might be a better option for them.

That's so funny and true at the same time. Sadly, I was born in the falsely advertised 'Best place on Earth, 'Canada' and therefore, cannot claim asylum in any other country, so I will pass away alone in hospice with 5 other dying strangers. Luckily, I moved away just in time through the UK ancestry scheme and live my dreams with my partner I met in a home we bought in a city where I don't have to look at the price tags as I know it's already 6x cheaper than Canada! However, there's a catch in that you can only go back as far as your grandparents to use the Ancestry Escape Pod, so if your grandparents were born in Canada I wish you all the luck and who knows, maybe you'll eventually merge with the USA and freedom and happiness is yours. Life is better on the outside. I moved 15yrs ago and never look back. I calculated a week to visit my siblings in Canada costs the same as 6 months worth of mortgage payments (my share).

As someone from Belgium that now lives in Columbus OH because of marriage, you're spot on with everything. Safety? Limited. Sprawl? Terrible. Rent? Eh it's not that bad. I make a base salary of $82.5k and my wife makes $50k. Our 2br 1ba apartment's rent is about $1000. It's a nice place, but it has some flaws. Our next place will be around $1500. I've told my wife I don't like the sprawl and lack of public transport here and I want to move to a place where that is less of an issue: Chicago, NYC or Boston. However, the latter two have crazy high rent.\n\nI must add, the terribly unsupported public education system in Columbus is by far the worst reason. My wife is a teacher at a Columbus City School that's almost 100% black. White families put their kids through private schools. The rest of the kids have terrible home lives and are therefore incredibly ill-behaved and under-educated. So much so that the teachers just CANNOT keep up with Ohio's learning standards. By the time these kids graduate (and that's a big IF), they would have learned about 20% of what a regular 18-year old would have learned in most of the world. This is in part due to:\n1. Parents that do not involve themselves in what their children do, and therefore do not discipline appropriately.\n2. Terrible school admins that force teachers to lower their standards to have a high passing rate for the school (otherwise it gets shut down). Also, due to the No Child Left Behind Act, admins also force teachers to teach how to pass state tests (repetitive bullshit) instead of important learning materials and/or critical thinking skills.\n3. A lot of these students are pushed into the gang lifestyle and see no future in their education. They don't even try.\n4. Burned out teachers that grew tired of the negative ROI and start giving out poor and inadequate work packets. However, I don't like blaming teachers, especially because my wife is the hardest working person I know.\n\nIt's hard to see my wife come back every day, exhausted. It pains me both for her and her kids. America doesn't give a fuck about education. The big theory is that they're purposely not giving public schools attention so they can be phased out and private education becomes the norm. And if you can't afford it? That's great, we need factory workers.\n\n\nI might convince my wife to move to Europe eventually (luckily a European marriage visa isn't as stupidly hard to obtain as it was for me to get here). Having kids in America is not something I'd like to think about. For now, I'm taking advantage of this high salary to save as much as I can and focus on advancing in my career. Sadly, that's really the only thing America is good for...

Boy here in America I often get totally different treats every time I go out to shopping. Me and others walked at the same time I am never greeted or asked if I needed any help but the white skin color does. This often happens in Macys and Loft stores. After a while I decided to inform them how I was being ignored or being treated differently . in Loft store sadly she was the manager who was herself was being prejudice and I knew my complain will not go anywhere. LOL.

welcome to the melting pot where everyone in the pots is separated like oil and water. sure we are all here, but we tend not to mix or if we do it is through a bunch of rigorous effort to try to mix and when it settles we just go back to what it was before. SO sad for sure.. definitely wish that was not the case and only the food areas were the separation for if you want greek, italian, indian, mexican, puerto rican. chinese, japanese, soul food etc. Coming from chicago I get to see all the different food styles and places but again it is so true that things are way different from canada to here. The socioeconomic flaws are much difficult to compare considering the very foundations that birthed America as well as its intricate and dense population. There are variety of implications that comes to accommodating a diverse population of 380 million which is 10 times the population of Canada (these can also be structural). The rent in Montreal is not as high relative to major urban cities in America simply because of the demand. People simply do not want to live in Montreal at the same rate that they do for places like San Francisco and New York. Moreover, places like New York and San Francisco, (this can also include Toronto/Vancouver), have rigorous rent controls as well as zone restriction laws that limits the capacity for home builders to produce affordable housing, (especially when compared to Quebec). I live in Canada, but I even I must admit that economic success and freedom is much higher in the U.S. Name me another Western country with more african Billionaires/Millionaires than America? Canada is immensely reliant on Government to regulate trade and commerce and due to our lack of entrepreneurial spirit, I expect that we will remain a commodity-based economy for decades. This is especially a sad reality if interest rates continue to rise, as it will negatively impact the purchasing power of our dollar which is indexed to commodities . \n \nCheers,

So true! I've been in Canada for almost 10 years and I second every single post you talk about. I'm very disappointed. In the employment field there is a brutal discrimination, if you are not Canadian you have 0 opportunities. Many times I have even more than the required skills and I don't even get a phone call. On the other hand, I have applied in US and I got a bunch of interviews. Very sad.

I have lived in Canada my whole life and I used to be proud of my country but the last 20 years I have lost that feeling no one should have to work the kind of hours we do here just to pay our Bill's and paying into our pension plan knowing we have to go to 70 to get our full pensions and still won't have enough to servive. It's truly wrong and our government is a waste of our time .its sad what the Canadian government has done failed canadians.

At a time when Internet was at its infancy and not available to all, I had researched, applied (snail mail), and came to Canada in 1995 as a foreign student and attended a public college for 3+ years, including co-op. This was 27 years ago and it surprises me that with the wealth of information at our disposal today, there are folks who are still being taken for a ride. People need to smarten up, but often times, I find that it’s the shortcut attitude of many which allows a system like this to exists. I feel sad for these students and their parents, but if you truly want to have a full-fledged Uni / College experience in Canada, then stay away from these for-profit private colleges; apply to a school of repute.

That would be a sad place to live, because there will come a time when you get older you need something paid for because you can't work sun up to sun down, if most of your money is going to taxes it is hard to get ahead one would have to take some money and pay for land outside of the country to have a place to go one day in order to live, but I thought that place was a part of England rule, maybe that is why taxes are so high.

ALL TRUE. I left Canada for the States in 2021. Single RN no dependents here, no chronic disease. There was no sweet spot for me back home. Working extra shift or working according to my FTE has always been a dilemma. Coz the more money you make the more you are being taxed. At some point, it felt like I was just working for my bills and for other peoples’ social benefits/health care. I wasn’t saving up more. I wasn’t building wealth. Definitely the safest and one of the best BUT that’s if you are WILLING to pay the price. Here in the States, I can pay my US and Canada bills at the same time. Can’t do that back home ??. Sad but TRUE.

Well said I understand that my Brother whole family migrated to Canada and I observed their lifestyle all debt and I hardly see if they have enough savings sad to say. At any rate would rather stay in village and tend my own vegetable farm with livestock than living a stress life on city. That's my childhood dream to work in US or Canada but when I became professional and started earning travelling most of the time domestic and international routes I realised that I will be on my own rather than slave or employee for the rest of my life. My grandparents immigrated from Italy and Ireland. They never got nice warm Canada Goose jackets, clothes, Nike shoes designer jeans, free English lessons or welfare. They paid there way, bought their land and found work LEGALLY, paid to learn English.\nThey did not steal unemployed Canadians jobs going through Trudeaus let’s hire out of the country so our government funds part of the wage. What we get are lousy heath care workers who barely understand or speak the English language and are caring for our Elderly and mistreating them. This I saw first had. I took my Mother home out of a senior home and cancelled home care as they never showed up on time. Would they leave there parent in a urine soaked brief for 5 hours as that is how late they were. I had to quit my job to take care of her. I myself am disabled with a spinal injure. The worst part of “Home Care workers” is that they wanted me to call in and cancel so they got paid. This statement gave from the Home Care nurse in charge of these immigrants working here. Seven of my friends, who are educated health care workers, which they themselves paid for, not paid my our government. They can’t get a job. The last job I applied for and they ask you status I put that I am a Canadian refugee in my own country. \nPretty sad when on Remembrance Day you have these woke individuals begging for money to help refugees. They should be ashamed of themselves for this disgusting action as this is a time to remember the men and women who fought for our freedom. Trudeau is a total embarrassment to all Canadians. Nobody touched the politics in Canada. I guess, it is the #1 reason to leave Canada. Both leading parties Liberal and Conservative equally irresponsible in taking decisions, they care only about staying in power, no solving real, tough problems. \nThe education in schools is too basic. In many cases is incomparable with education in other developed countries, Asian, for example...\nThen after....another disturbing tendency- radical liberal education- \nsexeducation in school - fluid gender identity theory. \nGovernment tries to do ratification of some very controversial laws about changing gender (sex) for kids from 12 years old without parents's permission. I found it is too radical, too dangerous for kids feature. \nThink one more time, would you like to raise your kids in a such political atmosphere? I think is it the most important question! I am so disappointed in Canada. So much worries for parents and confusion for children. We ready see some sad \nresults.

Yep sadly a country of immigrants because of our governments, us Canadians don't have programs neither get much help, nope the Canadian governmement prefers immigrants to his own people don't care much of the native people either who would grandly need help and support. canada is great country to immigrate if you come from money. and your family can comfortably bankroll your stay there. but if you are going too canada thinking you'll make money, well lets just say you will be brutalised by life there. the best time to move to canada is whn doing an undergraduate degree since you get to start from the bottom in matters of work experience and build the social networks along the years. it is sad to hear cab drivers in canada most who are immigrants were doctors, some even surgeons back in their home country

While the media will continue to do its good job demonising and stereotyping us negatively, let's not forget that we are real people with real accomplishments who have always made impactful contributions to society. \n\nHere's the thing, we are admired, loved and celebrated because of the brilliance, talent, charisma, swag and wealth we bring to contemporary culture. Everyone consumes black culture, from the filler lip service to the quick fix tan, from rock and roll to hip hop and RnB music, to sports athletes to the amazing creators out there, no need to mention names. But, we also are doctors, politicians, judges nurses, waiters, carers, scientists, builders, bankers, entrepreneurs, employees or unemployed. \n\nSadly on a day-to-day, we are not viewed as equal people, with equal rights and needs, who, by large, just want the good for our children, our families, neighbours and indeed countries. STOP INSTITUTIONAL RACISM. We are real mothers, real fathers, real children who have a birthright to equal treatment, respect and human dignity, whether or not you choose to disagree.

I bet this guy has history of hitting on Asian women and gets rejected each time, and now all this pent up anger comes out. Ppl are so quick to blame others. What a sad world right now....
