I’m so ashamed to be an American right now.

Not my government, I'm ashamed. Prayers that we can overcome this Dictator wannabe and find our way back to the America I have loved all my life.

I have no idea if Prime Minister Trudeau reads any of these comments or if his team does, but as an American, I am ashamed of our current government. We have a narcissist for a leader who is a bad businessman and a puppet of Putin. How refreshing to see a real LEADER who actually cares about his country and not himself. I support Canada wholeheartedly. I suspect many Americans will be hurt badly by these embargoes and (justified) retaliatory tariffs - but so be it.

I can't make sense of the way that Trump and his lapdogs are acting. Trump is not my president and he doesn't speak for me. This is going to kill our friendships and Trump would rather be friends with Putin than Canada and Ukraine. I am so ashamed of these actions. Please Canada stop buying all American products and double the taxes. Don't put 25 percent put 50 percent on any of our products. Make Trump pay for his stupidity.

I'm an 80 year old Navy veteran and I am ashamed to be an American. My wife and I walked out of a concert a week ago when the band started playing Proud to be an American.
