Canadians now are often viewing Indian men (and I stress the word men) as untrustworthy and $ greedy. \n \nSome Indian students have strong ties to Canadians, not most. I bet the protesters with their signs accusing Canadians as being racist don't have such ties, because if they did they would know its horrible to call one of the most tolerant societies in the world racist. \n \nWhy does Canada have to own missteps and make inspiring changes while India doesn't? Diplomatic relations, but only at Canada's expense? \n \nIf Canada keeps the students will they proceed forward honestly? Or will Canada be letting in a wave of demanders and scammers? You tell me? Heck even Indians who immigrated to Canada decades ago don't trust many Indian newcomers. Why?\n \nDoes giving current Indian students PR (because they were 'victims' via India) help Canada solve Canadian problems (that exist because of the student PR mess)??\n \nI know Canada made some mistakes. And I know some Canadians turned greedy too. But you tell me why, after 50+ years of Canadians loving multiculturalism and immigration and acceptance of so many from all around the planet (and after a world pandemic) Canadians are primarily (by a wide margin) upset at Indians. Why not the other mass migrators lookin for a better life too? \nYou tell me. \n\nFyi, I write all this as someone who in the past helped Indians migrate to Canada.

well, if they were there for school, not sure how many completed it, or just went to work and whatever... i have a few bad experiences with east indians ( pls. note am not hating, just expressing my dissapointment.\n1) i went to Tim Horton with my 2 other friends and ordered coffe, we waited 5 minutes one of my friend got his coffee after 5 mins.\nmy other friend 8 mins. and already at this moment they're giving coffees from people who were behind us... which is east indians - 10 mins. i still didn't get my coffee and i asked them twice about my order and these people behind me were already enjoying their coffee...i finally got my coffee when my friends almost done with theirs.\nI barely go to Tim Hortons anymore.\n2) Domo gas station - i asked for premium and the served me regular gas ?\ni don't know if the're paying attention to their job or just intentionally doung it.

As a FRENCH individual, here is my perspective; we humans look for what is good for us!!! I am French (I consider myself very lucky as France is a very stable and prosperous economy) but many French also look for better opportunities abroad, namely in Switzerland (higher salary and better work packages but that influx created a xenophobia against French living in Swiss) and the US (tech jobs mainly, which are better paid than in France)!!! We ALL do it!!! Many white South African women also do everything to marry British, Germans, Canadians on purpose (the media never mentions that and we know why) so that they can escape the extreme environment in South Africa!!!! It is just that the media tends to focus on black and brown people as it sells better!!! Ohhh and did you forget those many North Americans who flock to Mexico, and South America to run away from the horrendous cost of living!!!! Same for those many Canadians (a common trend those last years) who start to flock into the US to run away from higher living costs in Canada and for higher paid jobs in the US!!!! Okay may be some lesser developed countries do it but let’s realize that WE Europeans also move and emigrate when things turn “grill our ar**s” where we live!!!! Ohhh and have we forgotten already those Italians who moved to France in 1900s to escape misery and hunger in Italy!!!! Ohhh …. we already forgot!!!! And what about the Ukrainians, many of whom come to Canada now and take jobs and reap benefits from the local? Some even “taking” others husbands and breaking locals’marriages (happened to a colleague of mine last year)!!! Ohh sorry, you guys are still very busy focusing on the ones that are …. Tanned;) so soooorrry!

What's not being addressed is how temporary foreign workers were once relegated to to agricultural and fisheries work but are working for many exploitive employers who care about nothing more than having the lowest payroll, mainly fast-food and retail. These are entry-level jobs that many Canadians needed to survive but are being undercut by foreign cheap labor. These jobs used to pay the bills. \n\nGlobal News only showing agricultural workers and not Subway and Tim Hortons franchises shows what side of the issue Global News is on. It makes you wonder who has voting control of Corus Entertainment, probably the same investors who own many Subway and Tim Hortons locations. \n\nChrystia Freeland saying they will tie the Temporary Foreign Workers eligibility to the unemployment rate of an area still does not address how those jobs do not cover basic living expenses of Canadian citizens. Minimum wage will never go up like this but every possible expense will skyrocket to gouge the public so every corporation will cover their finances except private citizens, unless its one of the citizens destroying the country to cover their willy-nilly investments. \n\nThe young and the poor (now the majority of Canadians) aren't asking for thriving wages, cause that ship has sailed, just to be respected enough to be paid a living wage. I can't believe Trudeau thinks he will get re-elected after selling out the country to investors.

A LOT of students have come here illegally (not all) is the issue; and for those who have stop protesting failing grades. I also tried to move to other countries. Poland where my family is from being one of them. And I couldn't make it work. So I had to leave. I went to school in Toronto (as a Canadian) Finance, and got my investment license, and I still wasn't given a chance in the industry. When things don't go as you planned, sure it sucks. But it's a fact of life. Canada doesn't owe anything to anyone.

I live there for two decades except few years in India. People move there for opportunities and face job problem. Earlier one could manage in 2000 dollars but now 4000 is not enough. Salaries have increased but cost of living rose rapidly in the last 4-5 years. \n\nLakes are there but only produce is grass and cows fed on that. Some farming is there. Lot of forests but more than economy, it is becoming liability with very high cost of dousing wild fires. In summers, many cities are severely polluted causing health concern in only good season there. \n\nAll businesses are controlled by a few and we call them cabal. Life of new comer is like bonded labourers or slaves. \n\nPolity and healthcare we need not say anything. It is as clear as daylight \n\nPeople are moving less but are still moving there. It speaks more about condition in India.

40 years later and still waiting to see when mass immigration is supposed to start benefiting Canada. Seems financially everything keeps getting worse. Healthcare, taxes,pollution, traffic, crime. \nSeems the only ones getting rich big corporations.

I have been living in canada for 3 years now and I Agree and Disagree on this video. Yeah, Canada has one of the largest natural resource but utilities bill is more than that of India. Yes, canada's population is half of Gujarat's population, but just check the rent in canada once. Many people here prefer living in an EV to avoid rent. Canada may be exporting fertilizers, but Canada has to import food and veggies from other countries and its damm expensive. Ab koi log bolenge, then go back to India.. I am not saying canada is bad. The only reason i am still here in canada is because of its work culture. Work culture in canada is wayyyyy more stress free than that of India's. And just dont get me started with the amount of crime and gun shots. Coz I have seen many news related to gun shots in metro and buses and people gets killed without any reason. And one of the worst things in canada is Drugs. Just last week, I took a walk down two blocks alone at 2 am. It literally scared a shit out of me bcuz of the druggies and homeless people. Even my canadian colleagues are fed-up of this drug abuse and crime. \n\nSo, canada may look all goodie good from outside, but reality is way diff than that.

i have been in Canada since grade 6. been here almost 40 years but i am not sure where i should go. i think USA is one good option but its messy there also. not sure which country would be best but i am still well settles financially in Canada and i am still loyal to this land. i think we will be ok here if we just get rid of jagmeet and justin. they are not good leaders as they are not public servants but they divide people go for vote bank politics. many of the European countries the same kind of politicians have ruined it there also. USA is the only one but democrats have made a mess there.

I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! Employees in Walmart, Costco, Tim Hortons (especially!), etc., are seen standing around, chatting with each other in their Indian languages instead of being professionally attentive to customers. The shopping experience is not pleasant like it was 25 years ago!! Your remarks are not harsh and Indians NEED to take it personally and be embarrassed into doing the necessary to make the changes they need to. We immigrated to Canada not to come to 'another India' - we came to Canada and would like to live in this country to appreciate it's uniqueness and contribute to maintaining it the way it has been! Germany is no recommendable for foreigners, at all. They wou;d have to embrace english accepted for international workers, relax the burocracy and solve the shortage of housing. Yes it is a rich country but the system is not made to wellcome foreigners. .German language is ridicoulously full of conservative rules that not even the germans dominate but you are imposed to speak it. Go to an english speaking country or to the Netherlands, Luxembourg,,,,learning the German language properly takes around 5 years ..for one word you know in german you need to learn many more because german language loves precision and according to the situation the word or expression will change appart from unexplicable gramatical rules, ...too long time to learn , if you are highly qualified , you have no time for this full time german language learning. you can learn a whole new career with that time. Friendliness, mmm also not so. they have different values, less emotional, no emphatetic. Best go to a more profi counry welcoming internationals and key tip: they accept english for work even if you do not speak the local language. Real international countries tolerate that you start working in english, while the local language you learn it with the time and only If you choose to stay long term. they do not asume that you will go for staying long term, they know you have the choice to leave. But Germany request you invested already such a long time learning German, and you still do not know if you wish to stay in Germany forever....

“Ô Canada”... like e.g. Belgium, one of those “unnecessary countries”. Canada would never have happened if the American military officers who won the Revolutionary War of Independence against the decrepit British crown had not become incompetent degenerates and still had had their touch in 1812. But nowadays America is no better than Canada... it’s probably even worse. So if you speak more than the primitive “kitchen Russian” typical of most USSR / FSU immigrants, Russia could be exactly the place for you. Because like Canada and Belgium, the Ukraine is also basically an “unnecessary country”, or at least one that’s “too big for its britches”. And if recent events are any indication it’s about to get somewhat - perhaps a lot - smaller. So depending on where your ancestors came from, you might even be able to settle in your историческая родина... kinda cool!

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

I am 45yo and from Brazil. I visited Canada for the 1st time when I was 12. I fell in love with it. Decided I would live there some day.\n\nTen years ago I returned with my wife. The idea was to show her around and see if she was onboard with my plan. She loved it!!!\n\nI am the kind of guy who plans ahead (military...). Our plan was to get papers in order and apply for residency so we would move there around 2025 or 2026.\n\nOur plans started to change about 5 years ago with all the madness that came to Canada during and after the 2020 flu season. \n\nWe recently got our permanent residency elsewhere with better climate, great food, lower costs and much more freedom. \n\nWe are moving next year. \n\nBut Canada taught us that one has to be paying attention to the signs. It all changed so fast in Canada. \n\nBut it is still a beautiful place. I just do not intend to call it home anymore.

Canada maybe slipping but still one of the best countries in the world. more people want to become a canadian.

It's really difficult to understand the bureaucracy.\n\nBureaucracy:\nIt took me 9 months to get a working permit.\nFor a renewal, I had to make an appointment to have an appointment... The last time they offered me an appointment after 1.5 years.\n\nYou don't get a right answer from the people who works there. Your life depends on those people.\n\nAs an expat who lives 3.5 years in Germany, I still don't have an German bank account which is not online. Basically, they don't open the account or giving an appointment to over 1 months or etc. \n\nBut this bureaucracy is for all. Germans also have the same issue.\n\nHousing is also an issue. I tried to apply the same places by my name and a German name. It was possible to get an appointment by a German name :) \nBut I do understand them that they find Germans of course more trustworthy.\n\nCulture:\nI don't think many people are racist here. I even live in Mecklenburg Vorpommern. They were mostly nice to me. However, the city you live change a lot. Hamburg is one of the best city about welcoming expats. People are nice and kind. Never had an issue here.

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . Taxes , are high , homes are crazy expensive , car insurance is high , people’s are getting there cars stolen don’t see the benefit really coming to Canada . And most Indians already own there own house in India so way come to Canada and in India you pay very small taxes as well .?‍♂️ and at the end of the day white people are so racist towards Indians know they look at you like you are the reason there life is messed up ? make India. Great ????. America only has its military going for it it’s such a racist place to live as well . Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . Canada and America are only great if you are already rich but if you are poor or middle class life is a struggle. I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. I've only ever been to Winnipeg. I did see that the country was friendly, but it was a bit empty. We drove there, so we saw the countryside as well. It was pretty spread out. \n\nI do agree that the USA is very different depending where you are at. I grew up in rural Minnesota, and now live in Nebraska, so still pretty rural. The weirdest place in all of the US was Los Angeles. I do agree that there are clear borders between racial neighborhoods. One street was all Mexicans looking for work, and a block or two away was all Japanese in black pants/skirts and white shirts. like it was a uniform they're required to where or something. California is weird.

I think that what you are describing is the case in most western traditionally European countries. I also think that is on purpose. I live in the US and have my entire life, I'm in my 50's (let's just leave that there!). the same can be said for many places in this country. I've lived in newengland my whole life. it used to be considered the benchmark when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's , as far as cost of living , cost to buy a home , wages and job opportunities , quality of life, safety. its not the case now. I did recently move to extreme northern new England this year as southern New England where I grew up and my family is , too crowed, too expensive etc. I am within 1-5 miles of Canadian border where I am now, but still in US! I do have a current passport, just renewed it and plan to visit NB and Quebec City and hopefully PEI . I do live in a very rural area with low population currently. farming and timber are main industries here. not a lot going on, but at my age I really enjoy it. reminds me of how things used to be when I was growing up 40 years ago! people and even young people are polite and decent here, no traffic. its a bubble, but we are 500 miles from the chaos to the south. My family immigrated here in the 1950s out of war torn Europe for a better life. Things have changed so much since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. Toronto was a safe city with a good vibe. Things were reasonably affordable. Trudeau didn't start a lot of the problems, but he massively accelerated them. Government is openly hostile to basically anyone who was born here. They sold out the country to wealthy foreigners. I make a decent income but I still can't afford a house. Taxes are killing me. My doctor is horrible, but I can't find a new one. Civil liberties went right out the window. The people are cold and sullen. Crime is getting bad. Life just feels like it gets a little worse every year. I've been mulling it over for a long time, but might finally be time to head south. There's got to be something better than this, because I'm getting older and life now just feels like going through the motions.

Here's one important data point for anyone who is interested: In the OECD's national growth rate projections to 2060 (not a typo, 2060), Canada has placed dead last! There are 38 OECD members. What this means is that the fundamentals are not in place in Canada. I lived in Germany for my masters and found it to be one of the most hostile and aggressive places to land yourself in. I made up my mind at the end of the first year to leave this land forever after my masters, to never come back. This country needs a lot of skilled immigrants but the society is not ready yet and that you-know-what-I-mean feeling from age-old times still runs deep. It only deserves unskilled asylum seekers.

I’m doing OK, but unlike a lot of people I don’t take vacations, don’t own a car - I hate driving - and haven’t needed to use the medical system for awhile. I’m optimistic about the future, and am content with most things about Canada. Well, maybe not the weather.\n\nBut I can understand moving abroad to explore other options. I’d probably set my sights on northern Europe or Iceland and a university degree there.\n\nIt’s definitely about the journey. And the best journeys are the ones that are adventures. I left Canada in 2000 for an attractive job opportunity in Belgium. I had been workng in Canada for 20 yrs at that time and all of my education was completed in Canada. I did not leave Canada due to any major dissatisfaction with the country, but rather a professional opporunity that arose and the chance to experience Europe as a resident rather than a tourist. I never expected to stay in Europe long term, but one job led to another and I stayed on in Belgium until 2017 when I moved to Spain for my (semi-)retirement. Although I rented out the condo I owned in Canada from 2000-2022, after 5 years living in Spain, I decided I am not moving back to live in Canada and sold it. I have no regrets having left Canada when I did, nor do I regret my move from Belgium to Spain. I still visit Canada about once a year to visit family and friends, but a move back to my homeland is not something I would now seriously consider. \n\nGood luck with your move and settlement in your new home, wherever that is!

But I left to come to San Francisco because the Winter is just too Cold and I was Sick all the time. Here Homelessness in San Francisco and Drug use is out of control. People blame both sides of the government and even threaten Civil War if one party loses in the next election. You are still young and be able to make mistakes and still start all over again.
