Wow, some do t like Trudeau but that’s a leader. Has 100% the back of canada. It’s about canada not anything else. Trump worries about nothing but trump. That’s the difference between us and the greedy USA. Oh, you have picked a fight with the wrong people……trust me on that. We are a country that stands together. We haven’t divided our country like trump has, we stand together.

I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America. This trade war is so sad and so devastating for so many Americans and Canadians. These tariffs are so stupid, it's beyond reason. Trump is treating America's best friends and allies like enemies! This is not only dishonorable behavior by a US president, it is despicable!

US can go further. Who knows? It may invade Canada to access north pole. It is like Germany to Poland in WW2. The whole world should unite against US the Goliath.

I appreciate Prime Minister Trudeau! I live in Maine on the border with Canada and im absolutely ashamed at what trump is doing. Canada is an incredible country and a great ally to the US, and this entire thing that trump is doing is reprehensible. It would be an improvement to have a leader like Trudeau who can actually get a point across.

Yes this move does look like it could be connected to Putin. If Canada financially struggle then they can't help if needed with the war in Ukraine which is a plus for Putin. Quit acting like this is a guy who Canadians actually like. Trudeau is massively unpopular and will be gone very soon, when the new Prime Minister of Canada is put in place there will be a deal. I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. Rich people like inflation. The last scorching inflation we had in the 80s, CDs for 3 years and only 10,000 dollars drew 13.5%, there was also high, high, high unemployment, home loans were 18.5% interest with good credit. I can't even tell you why Dept. of Defenses is calling off our cyber defenses against Russia who hacks everything in America nuclear power plants, hydro, etc. Got my gas today - our refineries are fitted for Canadian oil though it's not a 25% tariff but Canada could slap an export tax on it to be paid by us.

I support the USA. The tariffs will hurt Canada and Mexico far more than the USA. In 2023 - 76% of Canada's exports were shipped to the US. That is 19% of their total GDP. Mexico exported 78% of its exports to the US, which is 37% of its GDP. US exports to Canada & Mexico combined were only 2.7%. Both countries will need to find other buyers or capitulate. No wonder Trudeau is screaming like a stray dog hit by a rock.

For all the American's siding with Canada. Did you know Canada has never fulfilled its obligation to Nato. they only pay 1% of its gdp. They are supposed to pat 2%. Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.
