Maybe there are too many Indians everywhere and it's natural that people living there are getting sick of them. Maybe her frustration is justified. It happens everywhere regardless of race. No one wants to see a huge group of people that don't look like them or not from their tribe living on their land. I could honestly write an entire book about this—I’ve been living in Costa Rica for the past three years, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. My personal experience has been okay, because I was lucky enough to be contracted directly by the company, so I didn’t have to deal with any agencies (best-case scenario). BUT wow, the struggles are so real. Life abroad is insanely expensive! Sure, you might earn more, but all that money? We build this country. Now immigrants get to arrive here, take what we built for granted and most of the time just change everything to suit their culture. This is a real issue. If I went to India to live there I would never do such a thing. When you immigrate, you accept the local culture as the main one. Its called compromising. We are a German-American family who moved to Germany from Prague 12 years ago. When we arrived we had zero assets, now we are financially independent and secure for life. My wife is American and finds Germany far superior to the US with regards to safety (gun-control), public transport quality, health-care, paid vacations and social services. I am surprised by the comments here, as I find real estate really cheap in Germany compared to other Western countries and it's a great place to buy real estate to rent out and get the tax advantages. Sure, income tax is high in Germany, but as a family you also get a lot in return for it and there are massive benefits for disabled people and children (Kindergeld), while education is also free and health-care is universal as well. Everybody wanting to move elsewhere has to consider whereever they go they will be taking themselves - and if complaining is a passion, you will be doing that everywhere you go.

In Australia. Australia is not too far behind. Housing crisis.. extremely expensive. In Sydney we can’t afford even a studio. 5 ppl Sharing a house. Pay for every food delivery anywhere between 2 to 5 AUD. Any dish you order is minimum 18 AUD so a dinner for 2 is at least 40 AUD even at places like McDonald’s. Groceries are monopolised and they charge very high.. even 3 days of groceries will cost you between 50 to 80. And forget healthcare. It’s so expensive that we pray we don’t fall sick. The doctors too don’t give you real advise. Just prescribe tests blindly without analysing ur symptoms. In India if you find a good doctor, they will save u from getting too many tests. Ppl are depressed and are suffering from many mental illnesses. No sense of community. The only reason why we are here is to save up as much as we can. We are struggling, living in shared apartments in a small room.. we came here with a job without any money spent from our end and the only Reason it works is cz we are saving up for India and when we send money to family it’s cheaper due to currency exchange. We cannot afford the same lifestyle as India with our whole family here.

A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. It's hard for everybody out there, i'm just one of the millions if not billions who go through that.\n\nAlso I don’t think ‘nobody wants to live in Canada’ is entirely accurate. It seems that the idea of canada, and the way its marketed, attracts a lot of new immigrants, and a lot of people would love a chance to live in Canada. It's simply not true. But after the fact , once they have , i could believe that some are not willing to stay and might regret the decision of moving in the first place.

The fact that you are highly educated and earn less than when you worked for Singapore Airlines tells you that this country, ' where i was born ' is descending into a socialist hell, all by design and still people have illusions this will get better however bankruptcies are rising and the middle class is struggling. Maybe the immigration officers should be up front with potential immigrants and show them the real facts about what this country has to offer.

I want to bring attention to the fact that when an Airline submits a Record of Employment (ROE) to Service Canada for flight crew. The hours the company puts for insurable hours is the hours per month based on the pay hours not the actual amount of hours worked. Pilots for example are usually paid based on 80 hours of flying per month, actual time in the air. However, we all know it takes a lot more work to get an airplane ready to fly. These are the Duty Hours, the actual hours worked. The Airlines do not use the Duty Hours for the Records of Employment. The rules regarding insurable hours does state that it is the actual real world hours worked or as close as possible to that number. Something needs to be done because it is not fare for a full time employee to then be given an ROE with just 80 hours of insurable hours per month when they actually could work way more than that. Please someone investigate and report on this.

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

The grass is always greener. We are not the US thank god. Greed over benefits over better education and in general a greater social safety net. The large centres in Canada have had there real estate exploited by big business and wannabee real estate tycoons it like the many other schemes that came before are looking to exploit working class people and that has made more difficult for people that doesnt mena Canada doesnt have opportunity. Those who leave are all looking for the brass ring it doesnt mean the US is the answer for some people it is. Funny we all expect what we need should be ours for the taking and we think if we dont grt it thay we are being cheated. The US is a larger market and if you have what they need you are likely to get more for it because of quality competition is high. It is here too just not as much choice. No one is holding you here things go in cycles eventually the real estate will find a level and people will start in better positions. Running to something may benefit you but running from life here is not gurantee of better things giving up is when you start to fail it isnt our governmemt the people or the country its in each of us as to what we want and weather they want to be in Canada or they don't its not the fault of tue country itd still top 5 on the planet peoples expectations are kust greater doesnt mean succesd is on the American side.

As an Immigrant living in Germany since 9 years I can agree with most of the stuff proposed as improvement but rather than less Bureaucracy is that this Bureaucracy at least work!! Is really hard to get in touch with the immigration offices and the communication during the process of renewing or getting a visa is a real pain and can last several months with no response !!

I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. You are good neighbours, good people, you are welcome here and have helped build Canada in so many positive ways. ?

It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. While affordability is def an issue there are a number of facts thrown around on this video that are making me question the data points being used. $3k rent sure, if you're downtown Vancouver and live on your own in a newer building with amenities which is what a friend of mine pays in Yaletown. But then I have a friends in KITS paying $1600, Main St $1500, Surrey $1100. There is not 7% of the population emigrating to the US. The rent can't be increased by $7000 as stated by the two girls, it's capped at around 3% annually, so not sure what the real context around that clip is. The girl who took a year to get housing at UBC - presumably she was renting somewhere else in Vancouver, I doubt she was living out of her car . Sounds like this was made with the most sensational examples which really undercts the video because I can't trust the other information about things I don't directly know. Having said that red tape has made building in Vancouver difficult and population growth has put huge pressure on the housing and rental market. Foreign investment purchases of housing has probably driven up the prices more than anything in Vancouver and as stated it has been linked to money laundering from drug money. It's the most expensive city in Canada btw, so while prices are high across the country, Vancouver is the worst of the lot, even worse than Toronto, so hardly an average example to look at.

Grass is always greener on the other side. US has more violent crime, school shootings, homeless, drugs, and inaccessible health care. US foreign policy and economic strength make it both a leader and a target in all kinds of conflicts, which damages the security and future outlook for an average person. Not to mention the clowns and criminals ruling the federal government and running for president.. European countries have their own issues, Asian countries their own (they have greater economic inequality and sexism, among other issues).\n\nI still consider Canada one of the best places to live. I have a good job and a good life here, I feel secure. Yes, there are things I don't like as well, that's why I earn in Canada and travel extensively to get the best of all countries.\n\nAnd finally, the reason real estate is so expensive in Canada is because of how many people want to live here. It's obvious – if Canada stopped being one of the top immigration destinations, real estate would stop growing in value so much.

I have a real university degree and i;m a red seal tradesman.. i can't get a frickin job atm and not only are wages going down but our dollar is losing all it's strength. i know a woman who posted that she needed an employee on indeed .. she had 657 job applicants within 2 days.. in a small town of 80 000. Like FFS already.. My son or any of his frens can't find work either!

Real international students brings resources to Canada. Government needs to look into students that actually come not for study but to work (making money back home). Besides, why entrepreneurs and start up programs that will benefits our society gets so hard to proceed (taking over years to complete)? Why nanny home support worker can come to Canada as permanent resident so fast and easy? The people of Canada need to be aware of these strange policies that were made. The policy makers do not use their brains measuring the actual needs of Canada. They make no efforts to look into how their policies will affect the lives of the people, the system of Canada including medical systems, our infrastructure or housing. They do not care if our society can have enough to support these low skilled workers and families, and also the new refugees and families. Can our economy support all these new families? Nowadays the economy of the world is so challenging, but would these policies makers care about this? They are not stupid then there must be some reasons behind. How can the normal citizens protect their rights? BUT wait…, all these new families are growing, these new comers will protect their rights too….

I can assure you balbir knew full well that his offer letter was of a bogus college. When he got to Canada he moved to a real college. It's a back door way of getting into Canada. He isn't as innocent as he claims.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. Canadians are more angry now than they have ever been. The RCMP have been advised about this across the whole of Canada, so you know it is a real issue. These employers, along with immigration consultants, homeowners, and small business owners, perpetuate the narrative of a labor shortage to justify continued immigration for their profits but that immigration is tearing the values of our society apart. I fear, soon Canadian passports on the international airports will be treated like a third world country passport. This situation raises questions about the true necessity of immigration in Canada, especially when other countries do not seem to have the same demand. The influx of older international students, particularly from India, taking jobs that could go to Canadian youth, further fuels the debate.
