I guess you’re so used to the insanity in the US that you don’t see it as much as a Canadian coming down to visit. The US political climate is nuts, and scary. Such a deep divide. It’s sad. Years ago people could have civil conversations about political views.\nIn Canada you don’t have to worry about which place to move to based on political affiliation. \nX- Pat here. I moved from California to British Columbia years ago, and at this point have lived here longer than in the US. I will never move back to the US. I do enjoy visiting on holiday to Florida and California but always happy to come home to Canada. As an Indian I congratulate Canada, Australia and the US and Europe. You must not allow foreigners at the detriment of the citizens. India under the current regime is going through massive problems. The joblessness and the divide between the rich and poor is just too much

I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

I agree and appreciate your constructive approach to this issue. It would of been easy to play the race card the whole video. I can tell you that it goes both ways here with this issue. It is not right to put good and bad apples in one basket, the bad stands out here more than the good.\nI came from an area of very few Indians and been living in an area of high immigration for many years, so I came from a place of no prejudices. Unfortunately, much of what Canadians complain about are true as I experienced it first hand. I won't list this because others have. I absolutely agree that you are ambassadors when outside the home country, as I think the same in my travels. Overall I believe it is a blatant disregard for Canadian culture and laws, and lack of assimilation with Canadians, especially white, that has caused this to be the big part of this divide. I see, hear it, experienced it. I admit it leaves a bitter taste.\nImmigration only works when both parties can blend together and respect one another. Not separate yourselves, segregating others based on predjudices, and sticking to what you are familiar with back home. You came for a better life, but live the same as the past. It is like a marriage where one has to always take into account your partner's point of view, making compromises along the way for both partners, not exploiting the other's weakness, or disrespecting their views.\nThe government caused this issue to come more to the forefront in recent years by ramping up immigration numbers and putting pressure on the system. Canadians have now had enough. We have lost our culture, and feel like the minority in a country where we paid into the social systems all our lives, only to get little benefits, just more taxes, and see those systems being abused. There is no easy answer here.

I am Canadian. My problem is not with the Indians, it the rate of immigration is far out pacing our infrastructures to support all of them. There's a lot of greed fueling issues. Foreigners are being exploited for cheap labor and wage suppression, indian students are being pumped into colleges at inflated rates. There was a lobby group called the century initiative that really pushed for 100mil Canadians by year 2100 that seems to have been a big part of why there was such an aggressive push. It's members were affiliated with companies that stood to profit greatly from the housing crisis.\n\nIndians are not the problem. It's a fucked up system and a lag in infrastructure. I want all that come here to thrive, and it's possible. We need to come together in order to problem solve this. \nWe can lead with empathy, and revolt with innovation. Look for opportunities to begin positive feedback loops with locals. I've noticed the accent can really make or break an interaction between Indians and locals. Really focus on perfecting the language and the local manners is my first suggestion for newcomers. \nSecondly is just to get involved. When locals see foreigners joining them in efforts to improve the community we warm up to them. When prejudice divides us, we are enabling the exploitation by the ruling classes that are disconnected from our hardship.\n\nGood luck

No one wants to live in India, Modi should do something not only divide and rule

i have been in Canada since grade 6. been here almost 40 years but i am not sure where i should go. i think USA is one good option but its messy there also. not sure which country would be best but i am still well settles financially in Canada and i am still loyal to this land. i think we will be ok here if we just get rid of jagmeet and justin. they are not good leaders as they are not public servants but they divide people go for vote bank politics. many of the European countries the same kind of politicians have ruined it there also. USA is the only one but democrats have made a mess there.

Up until the 1970s, the world was divided into 2 spheres, the rich west and the rest. With the rise in oil prices and the increased technological sophistication that enabled cheaper global manufacturing, billions of people in the Middle East and Asia especially have rapidly evolved into competitive workers that successfully took over control of supplying the world with manufactured goods. The transfer of these millions of western jobs to the east increased slightly the living standards of billions of Asians to the huge detriment of the living standards of millions of westerners. The long term solution to this problem is a massive increase in trade barriers to restore manufacturing jobs in the west. This in the short term will lead to massive inflation and recession, but in the long term will restore self sufficiency and increased employment in the west and restore pride and dignity to its people.

I would consider watching the whole video if you turned the music off. I can't take it seriously when you've got mood music continually going in the background. Plus, my attention is divided between trying to hear what you're saying and the music going on. What are you trying to offer? Music for people to enjoy or a commentary of information you would like to share? Here's the cleverly worded Title that means the opposite of what's happening. It combines legal and illegal immigration; combines people who want to BE CANADIAN with those who what to USE CANADA. Divide those groups out and most Canadians don't mind people moving to Canada who speak English (or French) or are wanting to learn, who want to get jobs and BE CANADIANS vs those coming in with NO interest in blending into the culture of Canada, who can't speak English (or French) and have no desire to learn. Phrasing the question is a classic leftist tactic. If you claim you're against it you're racist or a bigot. It's fine for someone to be proud of being from Asia, South America, Middle East, or Africa, but be proud and white of European descent makes you a terrible person? Gee double standards anyone?

With no governmental oversight it's become a landlords free-for-all allowing rent to be increased between tenancies by whatever percent the LL choses, utterly insane. And tenants need a place to live so they'll take on a place they can't afford to get a roof over their and then this happens! It's an extremely broken system.\n\nAnd the children of the dying Boomer and previous generations are inheriting these properties and want their 'share' or 'cut'. Their folks were doing fine renting out that 2 bedroom apartment for $1200 or that entire 3-bedroom house for $2000 plus utilities but those amounts of rent once divided between these Boomers two or three, or more, kids $2600-2800 for 2 bedroom apartment or $4000-5000 for an entire house splits up much nicer for the children... broken.

I have a question about the West imposing their style of democracy on Africa and the Middle East. Many of the so called dictators that were deposed by the US and allies, were in countries with functioning autocracies, governed by religious ideologies and culture that were centuries old and deeply embedded in the fabric of those societies. All that has happened is the creation of a power vacuum, quickly filled with religious zealots and extremists. Western styled democracy may well have diluted the cultural norms and religious dictates that kept those societies organised and functional. By introducing and forcing Western concepts and liberal ideologies onto those countries, they have succeeded in dividing once proud nations, scattering them all over the planet and diluting their identity. That is my opinion as a white Westerner.

3rd generation here, I can retire next year as long as I leave Canada. If I remain, I will work until dead because it is so very expensive and getting more so under the cult of climate change. It pains me to witness what our governments have allowed to happen in our communities. Drug abuse is rampant, mental health is staggering, youth are medicated, gender confused and climate terrified. A homeless shelter for drug addicts is being built less than a 4 minute walk from my home which is in a seniors park....we will all be victimized by theft and vandalism. We are also divided thanks to trudeau who has labelled and categorized us so deeply he ran elections based on divisions. We are no longer the kind polite people we once were. Churches burning epitomizes the moral or lack of moral ground we live and act upon. So I am moving next year to central America, Panama most likely...I can afford to retire there, never need to heat my home nor worry trudeau is going to ban my furnace and my car. It saddens me to no end for I have grandchildren, 5 generations, of investment in this country.

This is going on in the US, too (and probably all over the developed world). We are a divided society. There has been a decline in trust of social institutions, which makes problem-solving more difficult.

It's unfortunate how this plays out. We have a similar issue here in NZ. Infrastructure is crumbling. And the financial divide is increasing.

Multiculturalism doesn't work and never has , it's proven on a daily basis for many years now.. It's been a government tool used to get votes and also an excuse to create social programs and other excuses to waste taxpayers' money.. Which, in return, makes people angry, and the divide continues..

Immigration will always be a problem. As soon human realize the world was suppose to borderless and we create a system that we can function harmoniously in a borderless society maybe then we can begin to tackle this system that divides us humans. We will begin to use the word people / human beings more often instead of immigrants .

Legal immigration is only a positive thing if those coming in are doing it legally and are willing to adopt the countries cultural values and legal structure. If they don't, then they will cause unnecessary division and stress on the infrastructure. Diversity is only a strength if it leads to unity of purpose and vision. Otherwise, a nation divided cannot, and will not stand.

“Anti-immigrant “ has a negative connotation and I dont think that is an accurate description of how people are feeling. People are not generally against immigrants or immigration, but against a system that is ill equipped and lacking the infrastructure to meet the needs of Canada’s economy and the immigrants that would boost that. Titling this video as “anti-immigrant” is not helpful and further has to the potential to divide Canadians which doesn’t help the situation. Some people may in fact become “anti-immigrant” because of the lack of planning and thus successful integration of immigrants, but I think the majority are welcoming to immigration provided there is sufficient support and planning.

I like multiculturalism and this country is founded on immigration. But we need to put cap on each country when receiving them so to maintain the balance of good mix.\n\nI get bothered why this guy statistically divide white vs others. Look at Gardiner- it's constantly on construction mode. Hire more surgeons and make better family doctor system. This government only legalized marijuana and brought more problems. We used to live near Trinity bellwood and the park is now filled with used needles. \n\nAs for homelessness, it's always been there and it got worse during economic depression (2008 mortgage crisis) and current prime rate/inflation situation. Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

All by design, Gov’t allows and causes these sort of tenant problems in the first place to get out of hand, with their unjust laws supporting criminal behaviour to occur. Easier to divide and conquer a nation having citizens fight each other in a battle ripe for the picking for the Elite’s NWO agenda.

Great assessment. My wife left Vancouver 22yrs ago. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. Sadly the residents would rather smoke a joint than vote for a conservative govt and attend a church. Forget about GOD can't be surprised when he forgets about you. That said Australia is not much better and getting worse by the day. The reason govts love immigrants is because they bring money in and are obivious to the local politics so the govts simply continue to introduce more and more corrupt policies every year.
