Even though I'm Indian and would want to side with the Sikh student, I can't. Kirpan along with other accessories were used by Sikhs for fighting against Mughals back in the old days. There's no reason for Sikhs to be holding all these accesories now, especially at a place of learning.

Honest review. I lived in ontario, better say Toronto. Car insurance, rent, work life balance. The good thing is the vibe and some basic things you don't fight alot to attain, the place is vividly. Their economic policies suppress growth people struggle to beyong and you must be equipped with many relevant skills apart from degree. What gives you money in Canada is your own business, risk jobs, most importantly your money source is coming from somewhere and you just invest there in houses, etc. \nThe country is nice and alot of events in the summer, but when the winter comes is really tough and you feel limited if you don't drive, if don't know places to socialise. The minimum wage is very low until this day. In reality everyone has an individual journey, and every experience may be completely different dispite any barriers they may achieve and make their dream come true, but still it will be a very small number.

Leave and go where though? The same things are happening everywhere. The politicians and the media are using divisive rhetoric to get us hating and fighting against one another. We need to smarten up and toughen up and fight back. Running away is rarely a solution to anything.

I studied in Canada, but I disappointed by the racism in the professional world especially the well paying government jobs…it was like a syndicate where Chinese will push for a Chinese to be hired, whites do the same, Indians do the same…the rest of the other races like blacks, Iranians, Arabs etc you have to literally have to fight your way into the system…you have to prove and kiss peoples feet to get hired….I just packed my bags and left Canada..

Life in Eastern Canada (Quebec and Ontario) is way better. \n\n2) Weather : rain during winter is really a BC thing, the rest of the country : is SNOW and cold for 4-5 months\n\n3) Again, the cost of living is super expensive in Vancouver and Toronto. Here, in Montréal, it’s affordable.\n\n4) The more taxes you pay means you are making good money. 50% of taxes is \n\n5) Canada is beautiful, but if you don’t like our country, why did you came here in the first place ? \n\n6) Covid : Mmm it was maybe extreme, but Canada is one of the country that manages the best the pandemic in the world \n\n7) Rules ? Try coming to South America where I was born. There’s a lot more rules there and good luck for your safety \n\n8) Politic ! We are actually one of the most democratic country in the world. People fighting about politics? Boss, i stay in India and life here too is now as complicated as it is in the West, if not more! In today's urban India most of them don't know who their neighbours are/ don't interact with them for years together. Even amongst the neighbours, they keep in touch with each other via mobile phone (predominantly WhatsApp). Children avoid staying with parents and relatives at ALL costs to an extent where they even leave their natives/ immigrate abroad to achieve the objective. Work pressures at the Indian private sector is probably the highest in the world where most employees don't even have time to breathe let alone interact! Btw for those who argue that the Western society is highly depressed and immoral blah blah blah, lemme give you a reality check- India is almost about to become the dubious capital of depression of the world, divorces in Indian society is SO high that it's way too common now to see people who've been divorced/ married second or third time, people fighting marital disputes in courts for years and years and in most cases paying off the girls family hefty and mouth watering out of court settlements to achieve peace of mind......the list is endless......so where does an ordinary 21st century Indian achieve peace of mind and a peaceful life with a quality lifestyle to boot? It's obviously the Americas and Europe (mostly). It may seem ironic to some old timers, but it's the harsh realities of the world today.

Sir I have shifted to UK ..around 5 months ago...I spent around 12 years in Saudi arabia before.\nThe main difference between our country and this country is the PEOPLE.\nIts not the prices..the money etc that makes you feel better. We received a letter from the govt about 2285 pounds due to be paid. Of course thats alot of money for new comers...and as you said there was no payment plan or anything discussed in the letter.I called them back and the first thing they asked me was Are you alright right now? Do you need anything from us? And that was...an experience I never had before in my life. Then they discussed the way outs for the dues.\nSame goes for the jobs..the positions..the hiring...not the SAUDI/AJNABI shit going on at all ! Or the bribes we have to pay in Pakistan to get a basic job !\nThe difference in HUMANITY is big sir...among our countries and these. This is just un doable now.
