Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us. It’s time other countries take advantage and advance as well ??

I live in Canutillo, Texas, Suburb of El Paso. Migrants cross illegally on a daily basis. Are we going to have enough food and shelter for all of these people. Probably not! This is unfair for our homeless population. What about our veterans that have actually fought to defend this country? Indeed. I earn $100K but Uncle Sam takes $30K, leaving me with $70K a year, and that doesn’t even slow me to pay rent as literally half of my monthly salary goes to pay rent and the rest is for food, etc

As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. We do not wish this upon no body. This is just a nonsense term created by mainly those indians who immigrated through express entry.\n\nFor example, A Server in fine dine restaurant make anywhere from $3000-4000 including tips which is i believe equivalent to what you are making through your full time job and apart from that server will be physically much more active than you because server doesn't have to sit on chair whole day.

If they just knew it is nowdays easier to start from 0 a new life in Juarez than in the US itself. Literally you can place a small food stand without having to face any taxes or hard processes, as oppose to the US.\n\n(I live in that border)
