Instead of investing Canadian taxpayers money into making Canada grow and a better place to live the government is too busy stuffing it into their pockets as well as their friends and families! Canadians need to clean out all the corruption in government, courts, military, police, science, education and the list goes on!

I will agree, both my US and Canada are poorly run and have become harder to survive their governments poor decisions.

you know that you live in a third world country when you work fulltime and still cant afford a 1 bedroom apt rent . a roof on your head is a luxury in canada ,that says it all and should be a red flag to anyone willing to move to that open air slave camp .

We have the natural resources to create energy. Yet Trudeau put a stop to anything that could earn Canada money. With the regulations in place we could produce energy a lot more greener than other countries. Wouldn’t it be better if we have our own oil that is produce cleanly than to rely on other country that don’t care about environmental issues? I was born & raised in Canada. I love my Country and the people but I have no regrets moving abroad. I was making $200K/Year in Canada and I could not get ahead … wtf? Taxes and cost of living cost me my pay cheques. I moved abroad so that I could guarantee my retirement which I accomplished. Had I stayed in Canada I would never be able to afford retirement. Thanks Trudeau you meathead, you sold us all out!

Immigration is degrading Canada.

As an immigrant in Canada I would never reinvest the money I get here. I rather put it into US stocks or buy property outside the country. It’s impossible buy here and don’t be fooled it’s not because of immigration but lack of new housing and building permits.

Canada is a real estate banana republic. Real estate is an unproductive asset to the general economy. It's dependent on low borrowing rates which encourages asset price inflation and the exploitation of those who are unwilling to participate or those unable to afford barriers to entry. This perpetual cycle of borrowing, buying and exploiting, has its upper limitations. Eventually everyone loses as debts are insurmountable and rent becomes unaffordable. When a recession occurs due to lack of spending, job losses will occur and a deleveraging will be soon to follow.

Yeah, I moved from Calgary to the Philippines, so I get those reasons. I'm way happier here and the way things seem to keep going, Canada is becoming the most corrupt place. If you can, and it's something you are willing to do, I'd recommend finding the place that truly makes you happy to live in and enjoy life.

I waited in Mexico for my residence for 3 years when I married my husband, he is Canadian, I never lived illegally in Canada... before, I used to come to work with a work permit and these people cry because their papers did not arrive for a year.., I I was separated from my family for 3 years and I never tried to cross illegally... what happens with these people, they want everything easy and they only abuse the Canadian system
