I feel bad for those workers. I know they must be tired and hungry. I hope there are many helpers taking 2nd and third shifts to give everyone rest. Military should help send them back.

This is sad reality of my people but I don’t feel sorry. My life growing up in the US ghettos was probably worse than if I had stayed in my country just being a nurse or something.

My wife and I have a dream to buy a house one day, even though we both work full time I'm afraid that dream might never come true. I get how these people feel!

I know they're looking for a better life but what exactly is it that they're hoping to get after they get here? Say 10% of them have family in the country that if they get to them, they can then be fed, clothed, and sheltered.\nOk so now the other 90% come across both illegally and in this case aggressively feeling entitled but without any resources of their own.\nAgain the question is what are they expecting to receive in the way of assistance once they're inside the U.S.?\nSection 8 hud housing has enough problems finding housing for low income housing insecure Americans. I feel bad for these people but I understand that America ?? should protect their country and people too. They should follow the proper process of entering to the US. Can someone tell me why we would want any of these people in our county given their obvious lack of giving a shit about our laws. If they feel this way now why would we think they would follow our laws once here let alone make their court date.this is a hostile invasion nothing less.

I will say I have been lucky in Calgary (moved to Alberta in 2011; became perm res in 2018) with my healthcare. I have a great liver specialist and family doctor as well as a backup. I just fell and cut the back of my head Monday (2 staples but nicely done; I do not feel any pain). I know that is not common for people. I think some of it is timing based on the comments. It will only get better if we quit USing it (i.e. politicizing it). As an ex-pat watching that dumpster fire, moving to Canada in 2010 (first year in YVR) was the right step for me (however, that said, being that I am plain white looking male, I know that made it so easy at least until I applied for Perm Res. Then, being a white american worked against me). Luckily, I had been involved with a Canadian citizen several years whom sponsored me for Perm Res. I really enjoy seeing your POV in your videos. Thanks for posting them.

I feel bad for the immigrants who are able to get into America. They have no idea that America is about to be judged by God with plagues, bank failure, civil war and martial law, food and water shortages, tyrannical government, mushroom clouds and invasion, earthquakes that cause California to go into the sea. Tsunami waves that will submerge west and east coast. Watch, they will leave and go back to their country once these things take place and Americans will start fleeing to Mexico instead.

I really feel for everyone struggling at the minute in the us, it’s the same for us in the uk thousands and thousands of Muslim immigrants come through our borders everyday and they are instantly housed in hotels with £500 a month spending money.

most of them are people from Venezuela, Salvador, Guatemala, colombia.\n\ntrust me, we Mexicans don't want this people in our country either, a lot of them just sit in the street with their hand extended begging for money or stealing. they feel like we owe them something and adopt this victim mentality and very few of them actually want to work.

My friend is from Mexico who came to the US legally and has been a border officer for many years now. He has a very hard time telling Mexican migrants that they cannot enter the US illegally. But the law is law and it is the same if you enter Mexico. It's just a matter of Mexico doesn't have many opportunities for jobs that pays well and it's a better life in the US. I grew up with migrants all of my life. They worked 3 jobs for many hours per day but would rather have that than go back to Mexico - with no job. If Mexico had a flourishing economy, I feel migration isn't an issue. But then there's history - California belongs to Mexico but someone sold it to the Americans long ago.

To all the people in the comments upset with poor, desperate, people with no power instead of the American government that has undoubtedly destabilized these countries to the point where their citizens are fleeing to other countries…know that you are angry with the wrong people!\n\nThese people just want better lives for their families! That should cause everyone to question why they want to leave? Is there something we can do to support change in their countries so they don’t want to leave? Can we advocate for that in our politics? Is there something we can do to make housing more affordable? There isn’t a housing shortage, we have 600,000 homeless with millions of vacant homes! Can we advocate for the rights of people over giant real estate companies like Blackstone gobbling up houses and apartments, making them unaffordable before we scream that there aren’t houses for these people?!\n\nThe complete lack of effort around finding a solution is mind blowing to me! Everyone just resorts to basically saying they should all be kicked out!! Why can’t we find a solution? I just don’t get why this is such a controversial issue! Kicking them out or criminalizing them is just sweeping the issue under the rug. It doesn’t solve the problem, meaning after a while they will come back and we will be right back where we started. \n\nI guess I just feel like there should be a little more compassion and problem solving when talking about immigration!

I feel bad for these immigrants, especially the children, but this is no way to begin their lives in the United States. Where will they live, work, etc? Some may have relatives here but the majority don’t. They’ll have to turn to harming Americans for what they need. This can’t continue.

Breaks my heart as I tuck my children into their warm clean beds after their hot dinner. This is so sad my heart can’t even begin to fathom and I pray for all of them. I hate to see this in 2023. I feel like we can do better as a society.

Don't feel sorry for these people, they refuse work in Mexico. They actually believe that in U.S they will be given free housing, free food, money, and a free for all.\nMost of these people are rude, lazy criminals. \nKeep in mind that the Mexican president has offered them visas to remain in Mexico. We have such a porous border in Canada. Problem is Justin Trudeau and his pack of corrupt Liberals want more and more “refuges” not skilled....with an education coming into Canada. You see....people who vote Liberal are morons...the “free stuff” they get from the Liberals are paid for with more and more Liberal taxes. Liberal voters think Justin dips into a trust fund or something...yes Liberal voters are really that stupid....they don’t realize more Liberals mean more wasteful taxes. Allow the border patrols to do their jobs, seal the borders electric fences, rubber bullets and water canons and anyone crossing illegally should be sent to prison automatically 7 years for trespassing into a country illegally...then on release date a 1 way ticket back to where they came from..... if I hurt anyone feelings just write down your address if you wanna house illegals in your place....our families have come here legally generations in and paying high taxes in nyc to see these people just come in and think its all free.... housed in expensive zipcode, hotels, while we overlook the inside of our country... opioid epidemic, country divided, homeless everywhere, let's take care of our own country and everyone who came here legally.!!!!❤ ?? ? ??

I cant imagine being in their shoes.. its heartbreaking. Theyre so desperate to feel safe and stable again and they truly think america is the safest place and will produce opportunities. My father is a viet war lieutenant and was privileged to be able to come here legally as a refugee. He provided our family with a stable home and never starved. My family is very privileged and i wish i could help all of those in war torn countries or just people running from corruption but its so little we could do…

These people were told, that they were going to get it after the fire at the immigration center in Mexico, where 39 people lost their lives, only to be taken back and this why these happened. It feels like it was done in purpose to feed the right wing narrative that there is a crisis at the border, when the real crisis is the system's lack of personal to processs their Asylum forms.

This is what occurs when you fail to secure your boarders and ensure you protect those boarder with robust enforcement. Would anyone allow free entry to their home to anyone? Obviously not, yet every Country has a vocal minority who protest against boarder controls, they encourage and support mass immigration for all comers. \n\nYet when crime, drugs, and public disorder takes over they cream and shout! Don’t feel compassion for these freeloaders, they have no regard for you, your Country or YOUR CULTURE. Once in, they take over, you become the displaced, and have to pay for the privilege.

Desperate people do desperate things, and may take absurd risks out of fear. These people, PEOPLE, are likely terrified of what happens to them in the lawless cartel-controlled border areas... During the 1930's media in various countries made immigrants and asylum seekers out to be this horrible thing and demonised them. This came after a huge recession in 1923, the Wall Street crash, and the subsequent dramatic rise of far right parties in various countries, specifically Italy, then Germany and Spain. \nFast-forward to modern times. 2008 saw another global recession. Once again politics swung massively to the right with countries like Italy (once again), Hungary, Austria, Poland and Sweden, voting in right wing governments, France ending in a run off that narrowly defeated the far right, Belgium and Spain looking likely to be heading into heavily right wing governments at the next elections, whilst the US and UK governments both saw their politics swinging far further in that direction, especially the UK right now whilst led by an unelected leader who is demonising people in ways that would make Trump look soft. One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.
