I went to Canada get my citizenship and then moved back home for some of those same reasons. Life is easier and better home. I didnot sell anything b4 going to Canada and dont care who thi k i should nor returned. Been there done that. Doing extremely great now.

Even in south India esp Hyderabad, lot of students go to usa with debt facing problems, all paperwork done by shady consultancies. My friendly suggestion once undergrad done in india , get a job & work experience at least 2 years in india so you know the work environment. Don’t rush to go abroad. Take your time. You've missed the elephant in the room. Due to the open US/Mexico border and flooding of illegal migrants, the illegal migrants hurt those who've gone through the system legally and have essentially cut in line. If you flood the economy with migrants (both legal and illegal), most who are considered low skill, due to the aforementioned border crisis, it'll drive the wages of Americans down to unlivable levels and cause those who are in the immigration system to continuously be in the perpetual waiting system. This is why if your goal is to eventually work in the US as a skilled tech worker, your best bet is to move to Canada first and then go work in the US on a TN status. Sure, you'll never make it into the US permanently that way, but if all you care about is the money, then just come back to Canada after you're done making your money.

No. I would not move to the US couple things-my friends parents used to Winter in Scottsdale. When he needed surgery it would have cost over $100,000 to have it done in the US they went back to and all it cost was plane fare. Wasn't Uvalde a nice quiet small town? I don't think there is an elementary or High School in Canada where active shooter drills are conducted regularly or at al. During the pandemic when ppl in the US were struggling, no job, no money coming in, I think the govt paid a total of about $1700, over the course of the entire pandemic. Canadians off work got $2000/ month for over a year. Our politics aren’t wonderful, but they come together to get things done when things are important. It seems the politics in the US are incredibly divisive.

However most of these countries don’t give citizenship. That is a huge responsibility for a country. \nEven then pretty accurate. The H1b life is a life of terrible anxiety for many. And it lasts for 15 to 20 years. That is a life time. Somehow we are in a flow and don’t realize till old and then life is almost done. That’s life in USA and many immigrant in different countries.

I am a Canadian immigrant myself.. was forced to voluntarily leave the country after 20+ years of living and working there.. it's a well known fact that Canada is taking in almost an un capped number people that can't make it to the US or other countries.. the numbers are high and nowhere near sustainable for the economy to support so many. It's common for us H1B workers to migrate to Canada permanently and their employers normally move their US Jobs to Canada as well, with a lower pay and pushing healthcare and retirement costs over to the Canadian system while doing so.. just make a trip to Canada to see for yourself what this has done to Canada.. unaffordable housing, salaries that don't cover the cost of living, a healthcare, retirement and education system that is on the brink of collapse, widespread homelessness and fentanyl abuse, just a destruction of society and the nation overall.

A lot of the accusations that are leveled at employment based immigrants are just plain wrong: \nAnti-immigration hawks claim we lower the wages in the field: Wrong because the company has to prove they pay you at least the average prevailing wage for your position. An average cannot lower the prevailing wage.\nIt also costs the company many tens of thousands to file for a foreigner, so the company would very much prefer to higher an American. There's just not enough talent out there to fill ALL the positions needed to stay competitive. The company literally needs to advertise your position for 90s during the certification process and prove no locals are qualified. Companies meet this by always having positions available.

In Canada, I go to the doctor, I give my health card, done deal. The healthcare system in Ontario particularly is under attack and they're trying to privatize hospital care by underfunding everything else. But our premier is also a Conservative Trump Lite wannabe who is buddy buddy with a lot of rich folks.There are absolutely problems here, Canada is dysfunctional in a lot of ways.
