The western civilization is familiar and understand the art of hypnotizing and self hypnotizing. Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day, regardless. Over a long period of living, this has similar scarring effects on the human brain. It becomes self fulfilling. Add to the hadiths within their learning, the instructions become mandatory.
