As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. I really don't understand this. The US is an ultra-capitalistic country, where literally only the very rich can have decent lives, while everybody else struggles and is genuinely unhappy. What are those people expecting to find over there except for catastrophic levels of homelessness, drug-abuse, living paycheck to paycheck and never making it anywhere and crime rates, that are far above average, even though nowhere as bad as in Mexico?

Many Americans are losing their homes, their jobs, and can’t afford to put food on the table. America itself has fallen far from its former glory. Ive been working my ass off to pay for my documents for legality, paid taxes yearly and just comply to whatever is needed for immigration. Now im a US citizen. And this people just think they can just walked in without legal papers pisses me off. Come on people we all have different struggles in life, but we have to do the right thing! Even if youre inside the US you cannot have a decent job and no company is gonna accept you if you dont have legal papers. This is what Dominican Republic has to deal with every day with Haiti , but alot of people in media want to call us racist and protecting our borders too. Every country should be able to protect their people and nation. Currently we have a population of 10million around 4.5 million are legal and illegal hatians from what is on record, that's not even counting those who are not on record. You forgot 1 major point-\nAt least here in Canada, we don't have to live in fear of gun violence. We don't send our children only for them to be massacred in their schools. People have been there for days even months, and everyone has the right to come into this country but the process of doing that is a joke and really bad and long process, and that’s the problem they need to fix on how people get here and seek a temporal or permanent stay in the us depending on their situation, that’s how it should be done or at least an attempt to release the tension in the border.
