This is terrible. Why can’t our government simply hire more people to process migrant applications? And why can’t the US do a better job of pushing back on dictators that ruin their own countries, like Venezuela? Or provide processing stations in other states and encourage migrants to travel their, or provide transport? I doubt that most people want to leave their own country if it was safe for them and their children. Surely better minds than Mine could find humane solutions. Maybe fast tracks no migrants with established relatives already in the US? Or migrants with skills (not necessarily money) but skills?

Canada is one of the most racist and discrimatory country in the world. It feeds on fooling skilled immigrants and bringing doctors and engineers or other professionals from other countries to come and clean toilets here or become a taxi driver or some other low paying job. Although nothing wrong in these kind of professions but I don't think they studied so much to come to a garbage country like Canada do these kind of jobs.

THE conclusion is obvious. If you are rich, young and healthy with no pre-existing conditions .... then the U.S. If you are average and need some social support in order to get well into the job market and pay taxes for the benefit of the next generation ... then Canada. .... and please ... do remember .... one car accident in the US and all the success may be over even with the best insurance. Lastly, if you look for a more work-to-home balanced life ... then definitely NOT the U.S.

I am pretty sure those people never have been to a country like Bangladesh, average part of India. Otherwise, they wouldn’t even imagine to write down such a bad words about their country. The biggest problem Canada has, is the people have intentionally been dumbed down to the point they are easily convinced to vote for a politically correct moron like Justin Trudeau who has never had a single full-time job in his life and who thought it would be great for his first full-time job to be the leader of a G7 country. The Trudeaus and Liberal Party were/are supported by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation which is the tax payer funded propaganda arm of the Liberal Party and no one knew it. Canada's immigration policy thanks to the Trudeaus, is making sure that Canadians founding peoples and cultures will rapidly become a slim minority and be taken over by third-world toilet cultures. I moved to Canada in 2012. I used to love Canada as even with $11 per hour job was more than enough to survive (during studies, part time job). I used to live happy life. But, since Liberal government was elected in 2015, things are going crap. Just between 2016 when I signed lease of 1+1 apartment for 1140$, in 2019 it was getting rented for $2400. Prices went up for house and lots of things. Liberals had messed up affordability that most people in Toronto region are living paycheque to paycheque. On top of it Carbon tax in hide of saving environment which literally not working out, is killing Canadians. \n\nAfter living in Canada for 11 years, I don’t see this country has any good future overall. Our banking to technology sector everything is outdated. World is moving so fast, Canada is not able to catch up. I am looking for easy was to get green card of USA, the country which I hated, it seems USA is far better. I have many relatives in USA, I asked around and it broke lots of my stereotypes about USA which I had developed living in Canada and from Canadians. Even met few people who lived in Canada for 10-15 years and moved to USA and living there for last 5-10 years. Worst decision of my life was choosing Canada in 2012 for easy immigration. My classmates who chose USA and moved there in 2012 are in much better position career wise as well salary wise and they files are also in progress. Living lavish life with great weather, while Canada is depressive as hell.

As a Canadian born in Toronto and still living there. It was so much better in the 80s and 90s. The liberal government has ruined this country in the last 8 years. Don’t come. It’s too expensive. Immigrants come to cities especially Toronto. There is nothing but low minimum wage jobs for you. If you can line up a great paying job and housing before you move, then do it. If not you are going to struggle. My Uber drivers are doctors and engineers in their country. If you’re thinned skinned or have any anxiety forget it. Sorry for the blunt truth. I love living here but I’ve been lucky.

Try to save your whole income of main job and take out your expenses from your secondary job. During 2008 crash. Canadian didn't lost their home because they keep work and the maj are middle class. In US a lot of citizen lost their home because they lost their jobs to sustain the mortgage specially those don't enough training or profession. Even during the pandemic, Life here is keep going

Very true. I moved to Canada at the age of 20 going on 21 in 1990 and in a few months, I am turning 54. I've been to college twice and I could not get a job in the fields I studied for; instead I am working in a factory and I've worked hard. I'm on medical leave, but I'm now waiting to return to work and my employer has not been making it easy to return. I plan to return to my home country once I retire, because I hate winter weather and when it gets cold, my arthritis flares up and it will get worse as I age. It's very expensive here, car insurance, house insurance, phone bills, grocery bills, property taxes, and federal taxes. You work and work and you get 2 weeks vacation and sometimes, you don't even get to enjoy it. I remember getting sick when I took my holidays. You work long and crappy hours for just enough money to pay expenses and you don't really get to enjoy life. Canada is a beautiful country, but when do you get time to explore and enjoy it? Right now for me, it seems to be when I retire I'll be able to do that, if I can afford it (remember, taxes are high).

I agree with everything you are saying but why are so many immigrants moving to Vancouver and Toronto!? There are many other beautiful cities with lots of jobs and great universities. Most expensive cities to live in between Canada and USA - 1.New York City,USA 2.Mississauga, Canada 3.Vancouver, Canada 4. Hamilton, Canada 5.Toronto, Canada. Now tell me how many cities are in these two countries, thousands.Sorry but this drives me crazy, so many new immigrants to Canada complaining about the cost of housing on Toronto and area and Vancouver, don't move there!!!!! The USA also has taxes not listed on purchases and their salaries are listed before taxes. Canada has a higher tax rate because there are more social services than the USA.
