As a Canadian citizen who moved to France for better opportunities, I fail to recognize any positive things about Canada and its culture and economy. In 2019 most of my friends were struggling graduates who were working minimum wage jobs and living with roommates. A lot of my friends had suicidal thoughts. I was working like a slave in the oil patch for a measly $30k annually. And all of this to live paycheck to paycheck in a boring city in a crappy flat with cockroaches. And the food and climate sucks. And Canadians are the most introverted people on the planet.

I just got off work and am eating a bowl of ramen with corn. I have a college degree with payments out the A$$ for rent, food, insurance and childcare. I have insurance through my work that costs me A TON. In a small apt. What is happening? I really just wish I hit the border and knew spanish. I love how NY is opening college dorm housing for free with food, tax free employees for those willing to BEND the laws, free insurance for families. What the @#$^@#$^@ is happening. Look at AZ where the state is spending 3 Million to open a park in 120 degrees for citizens to figure it out. The US has become a joke. Good luck to all those middle class and below.

I think your video is well done. I used to love visiting the US especially the west and have fond memories of our travels .Now we don't travel to the US because of the gun violence and so many guns. Most Canadians don't want guns and think gun control should be very strict. I am very content with the way things are in Canada. We have high taxes but we have so many benefits, like maternity leave of 12 months or more. We have free healthcare with no premiums to pay. We have at least 2 government pensions , one we help contribute to and one is totally government funded plus a guarantee supplement if needed . Most people also have a company or union \npension . Most people retire between 60 to 65 years , but its certainly not compulsory. Canada is hoping to have a 4 day work week soon. Our federal government is generous helping with supplements for food etc. We welcome newcomers and we have a very diverse population. I have traveled to different parts of the world and I am very content here.

Both nations have their pros and cons (and unsavory pasts), but I find modern day Canada to be a more humane country and Canadians to be more level-headed and educated. Food quality is better and when I visit there I feel more relaxed (less worried about gun crime and violent crime overall).

Although I do feel for these people, we don't even take care of our veterans let alone our own people. We have seniors unable to afford basic needs including food and medications.Conditions are really bad for many Native Americans and that is also a major issue. We need to take care of our own first. I am at a loss. These people look fit and healthy, and they are dressed in decent clothing. I live in small town rural area of Missouri, and several of this town's members are dressed shabbily compared to these oppressed people. If we have enough accumulated goods, clothing, food, medical resources, etc. to save healthy immigrants who are well clothed, why can't we raise our fixed income citizens' health coverage and clothing allotment? People think that Canada is racism free utopia and its not. People always want to talk about the US. And yes the US has a long way to go,but at least it's vocal. My mom used to say let me know right off the bat that you don't like me,don't be sneaky with it. Canada,the UK and western Europe always try to say that racism is an American problem. Americans are just more vocal with it. And if anyone is inclined to Google,just look up the food inequality that Canada has with their northern neighbors,the people of Nunavut.

Easy solution is: No food stamps, housing, Medicaid, public schools, driver's license or anything what Legal immigrants get temporary.

Housing is not as affordable as it used to be in Canada. Rents and house prices are far too high. We also have massive food price inflation. Job are better in some areas than others. My beef with the job market in Canada is the wages are at 2019 levels. They need to adjust to 2023 costs of living with all the increased costs. People are friendly in Canada, as it's one of our faults.

⁠ it is not our responsibility to take care of these immigrants. They need to fix the issues in their own country before coming here to cause more issues in our country. These immigrants take jobs, they take housing, they take food, and 90% of them don’t pay a dime in taxes. That is unacceptable. I feel more compassion for my people who are struggling then people trying to illegally cross our borders.

As much as I sympathize with them... The USA can barely take care of their seniors, disabled, veterans, homeless and can not handle a mass exodus. Admit 5 and everyone will take that as an invitation. Nip it in the bud. Everyone coming across the border is coming with their hands out for food, money, housing. Venezuela is an extreme socialist problem. They control all prices and hijack the concept of healthy business functions. This causes essential goods like water, food, and toilet paper, even fruits, are totally barren from stores. Socialism there is a nightmare and no one is living life their with decency. Read about it before you judge these people. Try to visit these countries or learn from someone who came from there before you form a solid opinion of politics folks They don’t have the ability to use much of their “freedom” to “fix” things against a rigged system already (some commenters say they need to go back and fix their countries- lots of issues with this). Read up on how South American governments make it almost impossible for their own people to make decent money. Americans are very privileged and that is an understatement. The problem is with these terrible governments and even law enforcement who often get bribed by criminals and many dirty cops in some countries down there. My husband is from South America, and we know Cubans, Brazilians, and Venezuelans who beg America to stay capitalist. That’s why America needs to stay American, and refrain from trying to be socialist.
