I’m not racist but they need to go through immigration like my husband did. Or they all want in here they need to serve our country by joining our military. My husband serves the USA Army to protect this country.

I’m sorry no, enough immigrants coming here illegally. No. They need to get it the legal way like everyone else. And there needs to be cap of how many we take yearly even than. It’s getting crazy for the people who live here to even get resources as Americans because of all these people. Yes, unfortunately Americans need to come first.

I feel bad for these immigrants, especially the children, but this is no way to begin their lives in the United States. Where will they live, work, etc? Some may have relatives here but the majority don’t. They’ll have to turn to harming Americans for what they need. This can’t continue.

Actions speak louder than words. \nTheir actions confirm they have no respect for rules/others who’ve been waiting before them in a legal manner, nor for law enforcement or our Country. All who’ve attempted or entered this way need permanently banned from citizenship and immediately deported. \n\nThey’ve displayed the opposite character we’d want here. This is not how my or other families immigrated to earn citizenship. Send them back and keep them on a permanently banned list for breaking our laws, make it clear no benefit of ever trying.

I am not against immigration but the fact of the matter is this in this country aren’t going well even for its own citizens. Homelessness is up, inflation is up, unemployment, gas and groceries are up. The average American has to make a choice every month wether they get to feed their family or catch up on bills. We need to improve our infrastructure some cities are literally falling to pieces. We need to fix our country just like these folks need to do to their home country, running from the problem won’t fix it.

We need legal immigration. These people are generally law-abiding and want to work. Our economy is collapsing without immigration. Let them apply for visas and let them in

The same people saying that they should start a revolution in their own country forget that the US government was the one that started the problems in those countries in the 20th century, with all the CIA-aided coups and far-right military dictatorships. One must also not forget the problems that the United Fruit Company brought to Central America. If anything, the US should embrace these people with open arms. There always will be housing. If the US stopped zoning every square inch of its land as solely single family housing, we could solve the housing crisis and accommodate a lot more people, Americans and immigrants included. That being said, the federal government needs to allocate more resources to allow these people to enter in a proper manner, something which Biden certainly hasn’t done. This is the land of opportunity, people seem to forget that. I bet the coming of thousands of people into Ellis Island in the past two centuries wasn’t labeled as an ‘invasion’.

Report and deport . Get work visas do it correctly and you cannot have kids be born in u\nS soil. Why do we have to work to pay taxes so they can come and have free medical? My parents are immigrants but never took a penny or got any help help because my parents weren't from here. Upon my parents becoming us citizens they never asked or got any help and not that they couldn't use it cause we grew up poor but in my dad's words that's for poor people that need it.

We need more immigrants from other countries

As a native Venezuelan who legally immigrated to the United States, served in the Navy for 22 years, and became a U.S. Citizen, and a contributing member of society, watching this enrages me. No one has the right to come into any country illegally. I get their plight, but they still need to enter correctly. I know Venezuela's situation is terrible, but either fix it (by whatever means you have) or apply for asylum. Forcing yourself into a sovereign nation is illegal.

I have sympathy for the people fleeing Venezuela, but illegal immigration isn't the answer. These people need to be stopped.

Our federal government only has two real jobs: defend our borders and issue currency that people can trust. They are fucking up both pretty badly. We should encourage educated and employable people to immigrate. We don't really need any stone age peasant farmers.

There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. Even Christopher Columbus paid to be here, no one handed him a free ticket to ‘paradise.’ The Mayflower patrons weren’t met with resistance by the indigenous community, they were harmonious. If there was a border in Maryland at Plymouth Rock, I am sure the Puritans would stop there first to get their passports stamped. We need more and better resources for immigration in Canada. The immigration offices are often overwelmed and ends up delaying immigration by way too long. Canada needs change in a better direction, conservatives and their backwards thinking are gonna ruin this country.
