I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! I've never experienced racism in my life like I did out west, not just Alberta but also Northwest Territories and Manitoba. \n\nOn top of that they want everyone to be gay and not believe in God, they push the agenda so hard in the schools, they institutionalize and confuse your kids. If you believe anything different they literally hate you. The children are hypersexualized...teenage girls looking like they're 30 year old drag queens. They bully kids so badly in school, especially boys. Parents have no time to get involved because they're busying working multiple jobs to pay for their 4000 dollar mortgage, husband and wife barely see each other. And because they're not involved the children have no respect for their elders or teachers. the teachers don't care to get involved like they used to because everything's a liability...a problem. We had a 13 year old girl call a male teacher a pedophile for pushing a little girl on the swing. He quit on the spot, because now he's worried for his career. Kids have no shame anymore. \n\nIF YOU WANT QUALITY OVER QUANTITY (WHICH YOU MIGHT NEVER GET), DON'T COME HERE! or, Come here and send all your money home but don't educate your kids here unless you have enough money to put them in private schools and there are good private schools. If the only thing you want out of your life is freedom, freedom to just be left alone and no one hounding you...you like being alone. It sounds so dumb seeing two Nigerian ladies complain about standard of living in Canada while their own country is 1000000 times worse. I felt ashamed watching this as a Nigerian and I realised people would always keep complaining. Dear ladies if Nigeria was 20% as good as canada , it would be a thing to rejoice about. What I see in Canada is that lots of people have an employee mentality. Many of them make a good income, but they spend their money on stupid things, like nice cars, expensive phones, fancy restaurants, trips, etc. How can they expect to build wealth if they basically flush their hard-earned money down the toilet? It's true that housing and food are expensive in Canada, but that's basically all you need to live. The rest of your income can be used to create businesses and more income streams, but no people prefer their 9 to 5 job and watch non-sensical TV shows after that.

Check out the UK, over a million people not being able to afford heat last winter. Electricity is going to rise now in October then again in January. It is a second rent we will be paying, no joke!!! Health System is a disaster here. Our NHS is not getting the support they need to be good. Food prices is sky rocketing we see food banks coming up all over the place with long queues. I hear from others in other countries, that are going through the same thing. I don't think you are alone. The entire world is going through something right now and the people are sadly suffering in silence. It is a sad situation and very difficult. I don't think it's a Canada situation only.

You 2 are delusional, in the south of USA they don't tax that much, you should see how the Blacks are treated, 2 months that the city of Jackson in Mississippi has no running water, I recommend you 2 to move there, and enjoy the low taxes.... And trust me I am an immigrant myself, so I know that people are not working as much as here in North America, but or you inherited your house from a family member or you are living in their homes, in that case yes you can sit and do nothing, and if you find a job you will get paid a few hundred dollars per month........ It also depends where in Canada you live. In Ontario I'd sometimes wait 12 hours to see a doctor at the hospital. Coupled with the amount of racism and hate that's building over there. I have since moved to BC and at the hospital I'm usually seeing a doctor within 15-25 minutes. Plus people are overwhelmingly less hostile. The coast doesn't have quite as frigid winters either.

I’m in the US and our paid and expensive healthcare system gets us the same treatment. Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. I'm a blk American born and raised and l have serious interest in moving to Canada. Since my people are from the US this is all l know so Im acclimated to the racial climate of the states. A lot of your cons are the same issues many face in the states. Taxes are crazy cost of living is insane wages are stagnant and you basically live to work. I live in Minnesota which is not far from the Canadian border but originally from New Jersey so I'm used to the cold. The health care system is sh*t here. Noone really has money to pay privately that's why our care is funded by employers. At the current moment there is also a shortage of medical professionals so often times you still have to wait months for appointments but you know what l would rather wait and have my taxes pay for my doctor then go into medical debt. My biggest issue with America is you pay all these taxes and reap nothing at least in Canada you can kinda see where the money is going.

In 98 to o4 I lived in Vancouver it was a dream for me the west coast was amazing but I was very poor whilst living there. I left back to the U.K. and missed it a lot the west coast. LOL next time you go to British Columbia go to where I'm from and it's a little Valley called blueberry Creek it's in the interior about 400 mi from Vancouver Vancouver isn't as bad as you say it seems that way but truly I lived there for about 10-15 years after I grew up in blueberry and it is definitely unpredictable that's for sure you have to take an umbrella with you or a raincoat or a sweater or something cuz you could go out in the morning it's bright and sunny and by the time you get to the bus stop it's raining that is very true but it doesn't last long there is certain seasons that it rains but if you look at the meteorology it really isn't that much more than anywhere else and gloomy you want to talk about gloomy you live in Alberta I live there for quite a while and one morning I woke up and I just couldn't take it anymore all you see is different shades of gray and brown so I packed up and went home and finally saw green again I'm glad you guys are in Canada but boy do I hear you I used to be middle class owned a home and some land and then I became homeless because yes that's what our government is trying to do they don't want me to class people we have too much power when Harris came into power he almost succeeded in wiping out the middle class dirt poor have no say in anything so I'm trapped here I hope you guys have the freedom to go where you like I really do you guys are great

The issue now is people from Ontario have caught on and all we see is Ontario driving up home prices, moving here in droves and then telling their friends about the hidden gem of NB.. This video looks like it was taken in the South. No sidewalks, no bike paths, just a lonely narrow road. I had to leave the South for this reason. No tax money for things that add to the quality of life. Now I live in MN, and you see people outside all the time riding their bikes and walking because we have spent money on the infrastructure. We have bike paths all over. Many of them are around lakes and we have a lot of parks with extensive paved bike paths, and lots of other things to do. Look up the obesity levels in the South vs. the North and the life expectancies of both regions. Not investing in infrastructure that improves the quality of life is literally killing people.

After reading the comments it's funny how people still thinks where you are born or your country origin is home. Imagine thinking that's the definition of home to begin with, sometimes I Just shake my head when I see people using such content to define home. Home dosen't necessarily have to be your country origin or whatsoever. I do have to say if you're actually worried about the cold as a factor in moving to Canada it is way less than you think. In Southern Ontario it gets to be -40C about 3-4 times a winter, and in the summer it gets to 40C 3-4 times a summer, so we have pretty diverse weather, what you should worry about is how many different kinds of clothes you'll need to buy to actually go through the four seasons.\n\nJust a quick note on Quebéc, even if you did learn french you will most likely be yelled at in french as they are for the most part very protective of french Canada and see themselves as a different country, they don't like other people very much, and the french is different to french french. Cool place to visit but not so much to live in.

Being from Montreal QC myself, there is only one other place in Canada where I would see myself moving to: Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is simply spectacular. The food is awesome. The people are friendly and helpful. 10/10 locale.

Regarding Nigerians, they are social animals. If they achieve something, they love for people to see it and offer accolades. In Canada, nobody cares what you have. One of the problem is that the doctors and other medical professionals use the low costs educational systems in Canada to get an education and then promptly leave for the US. Taxes are high in Canada. But try paying 20,000 to 25,000 to buy health insurance for a family of three. And you go to hospital for a week and end up with $125,000. Bill. When you consider the cost of education and medical. In the US where you paying high health insurance, you wait 8 hours in ER. I think most immigrants are too disgruntled. Many of them.move to Us and regret it. Sometimes, we want to come into Canada and look to get rather than contribute. Where in the US are seniors getting old age pension. One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! Because the reality is they can see them self almost everywhere unless they choose to go into a remote area then that’s the only exception but even then as long they learn the language and respect the culture they are good they are liked welcomed and even seen as fascinating. Not saying they don’t have to struggle but the colour of their skin is the least! \nAmerica is great if your trying to be self made, be your own business owner, and other random ventures you want to dabble in. But to just go there and be a regular teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer to the low and middle class you’ll end up with the same financial issues and struggles as a result. You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. it's understandable that people get homesick, but how many people are crossing thru deserts, the ocean, going thru countries like libya, greece, where they're place into enslavement, beaten, having to be exploited as sex workers, and they still haven't arrived to their destination. \n\nthese people what take what you have in Canada without looking back. If, you aren't a disciplined person then you won't succeed in western countries especially Canada imo. I see people constantly complaining about being bored, but I rarely see new african immigrants mix with groups outside of their home culture. That results in NO building, no reputation, little to no African districts or recognition at all throughout the provinces. It's a shame.\nThe carribbeans did it right in Toronto and it's why their culture has spread in that city. What's the point of moving to another country that is deemed diverse and not trying to gain a mixed friend group? They can learn from you and help you level up while you promote your culture.
