I am a Canadian and lived in the US from 1980-1992. I was a teenager and I enjoyed all the places I lived there. Mass shootings were not yet common though we did have a disgruntled employee with a gun on campus during my time in college. No one was actually shot.(This was in a very small town.) I did not get sick in the US. I have lived in Canada since then and enjoy it here too. I enjoy not having poisonous animals in the area where I live. I don't like the winters, and every winter I wish we could re-draw the border and make it go north and south! I have used the medical system up here and have been very thankful for it. The past couple of years with covid I have been especially glad to be in Canada because I preferred our response to the situation over that of the US. Most of the people in my workplace were not happy about it though and I believe 2 or 3 families actually moved to the US once the border re-opened. They like the feeling of having less governmental control in the US.

This is why if your goal is to eventually work in the US as a skilled tech worker, your best bet is to move to Canada first and then go work in the US on a TN status. Sure, you'll never make it into the US permanently that way, but if all you care about is the money, then just come back to Canada after you're done making your money.

Yes, Canada protects big companies and banks from competition, making it so hard for entrepreneurs, killing innovation in the egg. And you didn't talk about the 8 months of winter we have in Canada

Bro it's our secret weapon against ourselves mostly. No I'm not against letting immigrants into Canada like this I'm all for it... however it's going to doom us sadly

Being in Canada , I feel it's a country for humans and but India people are becoming animals and devil, it's never about money or car or house, it is about safety, security, quality of life, ethics , moral and don't get trapped by house costs becoz no labour in India earns 1.25 lakhs a month and those who earn they cannot buy house in easy go, the house in India belongs to parents but if today's generation has to build one in India it's close to impossible so it's same , at the end I would never want that my small daughters are unsafe , my mother sister or any known female can be paraded naked or someone can urinate on your face ,

@nannerfly345 \n1 second ago \nI am a dual, born & raised in Canadian but married an American and have lived in the USA for over 20 years and I believe you must rate any country's HEALTHCARE SYSTEM you should rate it based on ACCESS to the system. When you say America's Healthcare system is great for many but unavailable or nonexistent to a certain segment of the population means America's Healthcare System FAILS. That is just a FACT! Love America but miss Canada every single day.

Im an immigrant here in Canada for 12 years now, but me and my family are happy and we have saved money for the future im so sad it doesn't work for you. Everyone has different experiences, I love my tropical country but I feel safer and contented in Canada anyway im living and working in Edmonton as a red seal welder and grateful for this country for paying me 65 dollars an hour which very impossible to get if im living in my country. My Two boys work as Barbers at their own shop and the youngest is a Nurse... I hope it will work for you two ladies also. Thank you and GoD Bless You ALL!!!

This video underestimates the amount of immigrants in America, according to new estimate, the population of the US has 27% of immigrants the correct estimate for Canada is roughly 20%.

Canada’s secret weapon will backfire. Our healthcare and infrastructure are not ready for record high immigration. Housing is beyond hopeless, with insane prices and record low construction in the pipeline. Only the wealthy immigrants will settle here fine. Most will struggle to pay rent and expensive tuitions for the chance to land a good paying job. Canada has very few companies that are world class or highly competitive on the international level. Our industries can’t seem to provide the best opportunity or make best use of their talents . The best people still go to the states first chance they get

Another important factor is that America employers didn’t ask me when I came here from Canada : do you have any American experience? For them, an experience that can make them money is a good experience. However, when I was in Canada no employers were willing to give me an interview because I immigrated to Canada from China with no Canadian experience. Canadian immigration system might be more transparent and better than the American one, but their job market is not that welcoming

Every single sentence in this video is a brief summary of another immigration nightmare that takes another 15 mnutes to explain. Only an immigrant can feel this pain. Oh and btw, if Sanjay brings over his partner while on H1B, the partner does not have the right to work in the US by default. Sanjay has to provide for the whole family. If Sanjay's families are living in India? Choose between the risk of being denied US re-entry, or not visiting them for decades until getting the green card. The choice between US and Canada is a choice amongst family, career, freedom, and affordable housing. You can't have them all. Although that said, life's struggles are not just for immigrants. I suppose everyone faces them in certain forms.

Canada sucks. Mainly because of the cost of living which is causing many immigrants and those who were born in Canada to leave in droves. If you are reading this and are considering moving to Canada don't do it unless you are getting paid at least 90k/year or 120k if you move to a major city.

The problem with Canada is JT and associated corrupt individuals/groups, that simple!!

There are massive housing and infrastructure issues in Canada that need to be fixed first. Canadians do not want this. Canadians did not vote for this.

Canada is not the only county seeing this, and the US not the only country turning it's back on the benifits of immigration. You could have made the exact same video about Ireland vs the UK (except wages in Ireland are far high rather than lower than the UK) Here in Ireland we have long benefitted a great level of immigration fuelling rapid economic growth but since 2016 with Brexit, Trump ect. making it clear that immigrents aren't welcome in some other counrties we have seen a whole new type of immigrent from countries like Mexico where recent graduates seaking work experence in English pick Ireland rather than the US or UK as we have a better immigration system but also a culture which welcomes immigration as an endorcment of our country. Here the more you are proud of you country and culture the more you go out of your way to welcome immigrents who are the living embodyment of your belief that we are the greatest counrty in the world, not the welcome immigrents can expect from nationalists in the US or UK. The big winners here are countries like Canada & Ireland who have recognised that in the 21st Century it's not coal, iron or even oil that brings wealth but rather being able to attract the best & brightest talent in the world.

Lots of assumptions baked in here that are honestly quite offensive or completely inaccurate. This is a great example of data not matching reality. Like sure, those may be the reported numbers, but it simply doesn’t pass the smell test. Not saying the percentage in Canada isn’t higher, but the way you’re presenting this data is simply misleading.

Honestly regardless of which is easier to get into, I would always pick Canada over America 100% of the time (for reference I don't live in either so hold zero biases based off me living there)

Another benefit of Canada immegration; ability for other family members to also gain entry.\n\n- Canada is also at the forefront of accepting refugees. For example, Canada has accepted more Ukrainian war refugees than the USA.

I can’t thank you enough. No one here understands nor wants to acknowledge the struggle or repercussions. And I also understand that skilled immigrant problems doesn’t matter to any citizen. For political parties it is not a voting block and it’s an anti-immigrant sentiment for the public anyways. \nIt’s 10 years to the date I’ve been in the US. Paid for Grad school and 100s of thousands of dollars in taxes already (mind you with not 1 benefit that PRs or Citizens get). It will take at least 15 more years in this state of limbo to get a green card! I sometimes feel disappointed in myself that I stayed this long. It takes life experiences to realize money is not life. Canada is calling.

6:54 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO making more money that he average born in the country, if he loses his job me may be forced to go back home. also that's a total fucking lie, you can just apply for a green card.\n\nIf you EVEN FUCKING KNEW HOW BAD CANADA has GOTTEN BECAUSE OF UNCONTROLLED IMMIGRATION. We're in an absolute collapse of the healthcare system, (you fucking tout as the best in the world but I as a citizen of 20 years cant get basic heath care. LITTRALY SHAT BLOOD and got told yeah, two YEAR wait list to see a doctor.) The collapse of the housing market, where rent is 2000k+ a month for a Bachler pad. gas is 2.00+ a Liter. \n\nnative Canadians that live here can't afford to live here, because of the immigration policies. \n\nYou don't fucking know. Stop.
2023-07-28 0
This isn’t a good thing. Living in Canada the housing system and healthcare system are extremely stretched they haven’t kept up with the population. Quick population growth isn’t always a good thing
2023-07-28 0
You can be anything in canada except Indigenous, First Nations get oppressed and outnumbered. Immigration should always be a fundamental part of any healthy society but the US and Canada strategically use it to keep Native peoples outnumbered on their own ancestral lands.
2023-07-28 1
People just conveniently ignore the basic conclusion that more immigration means more labour supply, and so lower wages, and it means higher housing demand, so higher home prices. Now Canada has home prices that are too WAY high, and everyone just conveniently ignores a major root cause.\nEdit:\nYes, a lot of people are pointing out zoning policy and NIMBYISM, and while those have a massive effect, we can see from the US, where these things are present to a similar extent but without so much immigration, that this alone can't raise housing prices to Canadian highs.\nEdit 2:\nI'm also not denying that there are legitimate moral arguments you could make in favour of immigration, but the adverse economic effects for the many in favour of the few cannot be denied.

I live in Canada and it’s absolutely destroying the middle class and leaving the poor deeper into poverty well enriching the political elite and wealthy.

Why train Canadians when you can import American immigration rejects. Lol... I hope you're enjoying it Canada.

13:02 Tabarnak is a swear word in Québec and other French speaking regions of Canada. It's like saying Hell no!\nIt comes from Tabernacle (a small cupboard in a church to keep the holy hosts).

Damn. Im right next door in Buffalo. We' obviously have these similar issues in the states. Thankfully my city has been able to dodge the influx as it is happening in nyc, Chicago. Interesting to see it happening to a similar capacity in Canada

Due to the massive amounts of wild fires in Canada, lumber is quickly becoming a scarce commodity. That is yet another blow against the Canadian economy. Canada should make it easier for immigrants to come over and live in Canada increasing the flow of money into the country. Also, Canada should lessen trades of food and other supplies from other countries that then take the profits out of Canada. In other words, Canada needs to rethink how it functions.

Worked in Australia and UK for total of 3 years. Did masters in US and workeer for any years in US. Before moving to Canada.\nFor tech folks, ?? is the best country to live. Cost of living, cheap and quality houses, good weather, jobs, friendly and accepting society. That's how so many Indians became CEO there.\nSubtle racism and smugness exists at all places, never saw in US.\nUS > Canada > UK >= Australia
