Those who couldnt get PR in Australia, always come with such excuses and all. Anytime Australia is way better than Canada in terms in jobs pay rate, safety, quality of life. I have Lived in 5 countries including both Australia and Canada. I rate Australia as top of them all. Australia is best.

Ummmmm, if you want access to a doctor and regular health care move to the US or get real acquainted w Urgent Care Centers while you wait months to years to find a provider accepting patients in Canada...pleeeeze!!

I recently applied a work permit to Canada in the US. Comparing the other regions for applying the same permit, the wait for the us in exceptionally longer than other regions. I believe it is very likely that almost all applied are not a US person, and went to Canada because of no other choice.

Looking at this as a former refugee in Canada, now living in the US, is like having it backwards.

The difference is that Canada can control its immigration. They actually stop people at yhe border. US does not.

With all these extra people it is a good thing Canada has a focus on housing people based on need instead of maximizing profits for landowners(landlords). \n\nIf capitalism controlled housing in Canada then housing would be artifically restricted by any means available. These immigrants could be used as a BS pretext to justify increasing the prices (and thus profits) for the already inflated rates to rent. And of course you'd have sprawling homeless since homless people only exist as a literal reminder to the wage slaves what will happen to them if they don't pay their (land)Lord the monthly fealty(rent).\n\nWait no. I'm thinking of Jordan. Canada's housing system is controlled by their corporate capitalist class.

Such an idealistic, unrealistic, and optimistic representation of Canada immigration.\nFor those who bring large sums of money into the country - the Canadian government openly transparent, friendly, and helpful.\nFor those who lack large sums of money - the Canadian government is bureaucratic, obstructive, and secretive.\nIf you don't bring wealth, you'll fight an uphill battle all the way and probably be denied entry or forced to leave.

This explains so much about why Canada has become a total dumpster fire the last decade. They built a society that cant reproduce and then imported other people without western values and now run their country by dictatorship ending fundamental rights of their citizenry. As a European I would say don’t complain! Neither Canada or the US! At least the bulk of your immigrants are educated! We here in Europe get all the uneducated and unwilling immigrants who’s sole purpose is to leech of our welfare system! \n\nAs that scene in South Park “they toook our jobsss”. they didn’t take our jobs, they just straight up take our money and sit on their ass having us to work to support them.

America's system is far better. It prevents one country from overrunning yours via immigration. You could be dropped into Canada and think that you are in India or China. Limiting immigration and increasing birth rates is the only way to maintain your countries identity and not be invaded. US happens to have good birth rates, so no need to allow more immigrants.

Canadas system is miles better then the US's thats for D**n sure. \n\nBut u are missing a major point here. One is to be a citizen to Canada and one is to be a citizen to the US. I have a Canadian Permanent Resident card (still haven't landed yet) and No, high levels of immigration to Canada isn't a strength. The Canadian goverment needs to stop this madness. Canada is taking in too many immigrants and is not liberalizing the zoning codes and the housing supply. The housing market is extremely supply constrained in Canada. Canada wants permanent immigrants, not temporary workers, and makes it harder to hire foreign workers by requiring companies to apply for LMIA that takes months to be approved, if approved. The US (and most other countries) wants the opposite, and as soon as you are no longer necessary they kick you out. This gives visa holders a disadvantage related to other workers in the same industry since they are tied to an employer and can't just quit. In fact, they are at a mercy of the employer and are likely to work harder for a lower salary. Yeah, their average pay is higher than the country average, but it is still lower than other workers with the same skills.

Make Canada white again.

The only conceivable reason I can see is for actors there are more opportunities. And musicians have a larger population base to sell to (but that wouldn't require they move there). I work for an american company in Canada and I could move to California for better positions but you couldn't pay me enough to ever consider it.

That’s a hard no. Not even maybe. Having travelled to the US many times, I always felt like I was stepping back into the 1960’s. They have fallen so far behind, they think they’re in front. Culturally, Canada is much more similar to Europe than our geographically closest neighbour. Several of my friends have lived in the US, but all moved back because they felt their children were not being educated to a standard they would have been in Canada.

Certain areas I would consider, northern Michigan, upper U.P., northern New York, western states....just stay away from the larger cities and really much the same as Canada as far as the people go.

US has more large city options for employment. In Canada we only have about 5 options. That said if I was forced to choose between living in the city of Toronto or NYC I would choose NYC

I moved from the US to Canada in the eighties, and I've never considered moving back.

The Uk is cold enough for me I think I will never visit Canada and people in the UK are friendlier. I liked your video because you portrayed Canada in the way it is.

These two are Canadians so they are showing you the flowers garden of Canada and the sewage in US. Nobody should consider this as their immigration advice. You need to find an immigration lawyer and do your own research before making any serious decisions. Canada’s tax and unemployment rates are much higher than in the US. It is also freaking cold in general and they have extremely long winter which means you will be locked inside your house for the majority of the year especially if you are a senior citizen.

I`m Canadian, and did move to the USA, then moved back to Canada. Americans are Taxed on every dollar they earn, most states have to pay Fed an State tax, Health Care cost is way to high, when they economy goods bad, it goes south really fast. America tax on avg 22%, Canada 15%, America state tax 5.75%, Canada 0%, America sales tax 7.4%, Canada 7% plus 5% GST, however you get the GST back when you file you`re taxes. The 1 thing I really like were the people, made some very good friends but, they are not very educated, most people don`t leave they`re state, because they can see the world on TV, so why travel, as I was told.

Weather can be better in US places when it is winter in Canada. Generally Americans are nice people. Because warmer, they have bigger bugs. Ugg. Wouldnt send my kids to a school in the USA. Kind of nervous cuz so many people carry guns in USA. That freaks me out. I like being able to walk into ANY dr office or hospital in ANY place in Canada. Despite the good weather, too many down sides to the states.

Some information ismisleading. Best to check with people who actually live in Canada. Also, spend enough time in any of these places yourself to form your own opinion, especially if you might be considering the possibility of living there. Being a visitor is not the same as being a resident.

I am from Canada, and a teacher in NC. The discussions of fears of school shootings does happen among students. Some of them are afraid it will happen. We have shooter drills. Some students do get a little scared because this happens. Maybe you don't get into these discussions, but they do happen down here.

We have McDonalds and Starbucks here in Canada, even in small towns PLUS we have Tim Hortons everywhere! I have lived in both countries and much prefer Canada. The very idea of another Trump presidency makes me literally ill. In Alberta our healthcare is free, no monthly payment and there is affordable drug coverage both through private and provincial government provided. The Canadian education system is far superior.

The US does have a higher pay... but for me to go live in the US the pay would need to be so much that I'd be a millionaire in a few years. Just the rather laid-back culture of Canadian compared to a lot of other countries makes me much happier in Canada than the US (and I like the cold, so a lot of climates in the US wouldn't be to my liking either).\n\nEdit: And just fyi, the child mortality rate of being shot in the US is 3.7 to every 100,000 children in 2021. Canada, which is second mostly due to how closely tied the two country are, is at less than 1, and most other advanced countries are less than half that (with Germany at about 0.1).

We moved from Canada to WA and after many years we moved back. Healthcare was fantastic in US but so many things your insurance will say are or are not covered. People very friendly. I miss the shopping in US such a great selection!
