I'm from Sydney, Australia and visited family in Toronto just before Covid and no offence but for a metro area of almost 7 million people it's incredibly boring. I was also genuinely shocked at how dirty it was. If I didn't have family there I honestly wouldn't go back.

The government always scream about climate change being a threat to humanity, but somehow they always see to forget about CO2 production when they bring in half a million immigrants a year from much warmer and less industrialized countries, knowing full well that these immigrants will produce way more CO2 here than if they has stayed home. Climate change is just a scam to tax Canadians even more while pretending that they are doing it for us.

Like it or not, our taxes are going up and our services are going down. The government is focused on GDP numbers as opposed to GDP per capita, which essentially means while our production numbers are artificially enhanced the quality of life per person is rapidly declining. We're talking about flooding Ontario with 500,000 new immigrants, God knows how many Indian paypigs... I mean students for colleges and universities, as our government is giving tax breaks to Atlantic Canadians and torturing everyone else for going greener with natural gas. We're living in a country where it is very possible to hold down multiple jobs and still be homeless in 2024 and we're talking about more immigrants? We can't afford the people we have now and we're talking about bringing in more? Who's building the homes for these people? The last couple million of immigrants who were supposed to build homes didn't build anything so now we're bring in more to build homes for the last couple million who were supposed to build homes plus Canadians who has been here for more than a July on a sidewalk.

We talked about this million times before and nothing changed. I moved my business to a red state for lower taxes, more freedom, much cheaper housing and I don't have to take the vaccine if I don't want to. Oh and also no censorship.

The government let in a million immigrants over 2 years, and we can’t provide them with enough houses or jobs. They have no choice but to go home or look for greener pastures.

There is No labour shortage! Data shows there's more people looking than there is work. People are lining around the block for low-paying jobs. Dollararrma had 2000 applicants in Waterloo for a lead cashier job. I've never known the job market to be so competitive with multiple tests, assessments and interviews for entry-level gigs. And its getting increasingly hard to get a job without speaking a foreign language. Why is mass immigration needed if they take our jobs and housing? The government says we need their tax dollars to support social programs but our social programs have declined a lot in the past decades despite mass immigration. It costs millions to process these immigrants. All immigration should be halted immediately and the processing costs used to conduct a study to determine what if any benefits we really get from this. Most countries don't take in half as many immigrants and manage just fine. People are struggling to find work and housing and the economy seems to be suffering not benefitting from immigrants. I feel for people in war-torn countries but we have been than generous to immigrants and our own citizens are hurting as a result.

Well the average immigrant can’t afford to come to Vancouver and spend over a million dollars to buy a house. Especially with the amount we get taxed. I was at a grocery store the other day and some Americans were absolutely flabbergasted with the cost of food and gas.

We have enough people as is. The problem isnt that we aren’t welcoming, but that our govt thinks its a good thing to bring in millions of people with no place to live and drive up housing costs.

The trouble is Canada is not taking itself seriously. The reality is culture matters. When you dump millions of people into a place over a short period of time, there is bound to be turmoil. The housing crisis. The Balkanization of different cultural groups. The watering down of Canada‘s original culture (the culture that made country desirable in the first place). The low salaries versus cost of living. The reality is this has been brewing for a while, and is only coming to a head now. The solutions are there, but you are “racist” if you say anything. A 90% reduction in immigration would be a good start. Then, a reduction in the size of a bloated government. Incentives for people to have families again. People should be having 2 to 3 kids on average again. A return to Jesus couldn’t hurt as the country was built on Judeo-Christian values. Then, the country will grow organically and will have some hope of becoming great again!

The problem is the educated working immigrants are being pushed out by the millions of people who think we're going to support them, when they have nothing to offer our country but rebellion and fights they bring with them. ?

Not to worry, there is a million getting ready to come here in the next 2 years anyway thanks to this governments policy. I wonder how many speak the language

Yes I agree Canada’s prosperity was build by emigrants but there is a “but” by emigrants from Italy, Ireland, emigrants from Eastern European countries skilled workers, housing was booming. Now Canada gets 1/2 million of Amazon workers from India, Home Depot, Pearson Airport. Canada use to be multi cultural now is becoming one culture.

No wonder everything is getting so expensive and housing and rent is going through the roof. almost 1/2 million new residents a year? Where is all the infrastructure and housing for that coming from? The gov needs to put the brakes on immigration and lets things stabilize for a while jesus. Almost every Liberal policy is like a perfect storm for making this country unaffordable for the average Canadian. \nIf you're going to let people in let it be only in job markets we need like high skilled workers, and especially doctors and nurses. And dear god help those doctors and nurses get appropriately accredited before giving them citizenship. Our system needs people who can work in the system not people who got their degree or diploma in some flyby night school. I see way to many people at my workplace trying to get jobs with fake diplomas or degrees. Those people need to be deported ASAP! They lied to get here and they are lying to employers. There should be free job training for canadians who are unemployed and under employed.Immigration was never the answer to anything.Liberal policies make life to expensive for everyone including immigrants.The 100s of millions wasted on immigration legal and illegal could help Canadians.The solution is for canadians to have kids so ban feminism and reduce cost of living.Spending millions of tax dollars on immigrants who just leave is a waste.

And yet, Canadian economy is way behind the US…. just look how bad the Canadian dollar fares against the USD, making Canada in my opinion a cheaper country to live in. Reason why these women say Americans move there. When in fact, 400,000 Canadians flock to the US and live half the year here, not in Canada ! Canada has also less attractions to visit while the US has everything! from deserts, rainforests, canyons, beaches in 50 + National Parks, hundreds of National Monuments & thousands of beautiful State Parks. Why do I know ? I traveled all of the US….so beautiful….. i hope Canada can boast a paradise like Hawaii, Guam USVI, Puerto Rico to name a few. I had been to 85 countries, covered as much in each country. I can say the USA is the most beautiful in the world. Canada is no comparison. No way im moving to Canada…. i have the best weather year round here in California….

The thing I will say about housing as someone who lives in Manitoba— housing in Canada is not all built equal. 1 million dollars is a standard house in Ontario, but pretty damn nice if you live in Manitoba, especially if outside of Winnipeg. I’d assume a similar policy applies to western Ontario, Saskatchewan, northern Quebec and the territories due to low population and extremely low population density

Canada was good, but it has gone downhill immencely in the past decade or so. We are now in the top 5 countries on earth for housing cost to income ratio. Many Canadians can't even afford a home or rent here any more. A one bedroom apartment in Toronto where I live can go for 2,400 a month. Millions of immigrants arriving and the economy has largely stagnated despite all these new people. Lots of blindly partisan Liberals here though that will never admit the country is in serious decline. Don't let them lecture you about healthcare and social safety nets either there are literally MILLIONS of people in Ontario our largest province where I live that can't even access a family doctor even if they were willing to pay for one. With the number of people not being able to access basic medical services here I would not call it unviersal any more.
