There needs to be a rule that Canadian educational institutions cannot have more than 1/3 of their student base being non-Canadian students. For every 2 Canadians in that school, only 1 foreign student is allowed, otherwise, that college will have to hand over all excess tuition directly to the government.

Asian students only come to Canada to get PR (easiest way but more expensive). But now, finding a job is a big competition even after they graduated. Rental crisis is happening too due to illegal immigrants and massive foreign student influx. This is the same problem Australia is facing, so they are reducing foreign students intake. Local residents are finding it hard to get accommodation because of this problem!

Moreover, dishonest practices, such as buying grades through online schools or bribing high school teachers, corrode the very integrity of our education system.\n\nAmidst these challenges, the lack of guidance from school counselors leaves Canadian students uninformed about strategic academic planning. Proactive counseling becomes crucial to enlighten students on the importance of enrolling in Grade 11 courses during Grade 10 and Grade 12 courses during Grade 11. This strategic approach empowers students to make informed decisions, strategically dropping courses for a better chance of success, aligning with the tactics employed by foreign students vying for available seats.\n\nThe current state of our education system is untenable, necessitating essential reforms. Every Canadian citizen student deserves the right to pursue higher education, liberated from the influence of financial gains for institutions. It is crucial to address these issues, highlighting the immorality and wrongness of pressuring kids to achieve a 98% for their future. Some achieving perfect scores may resort to dishonest means, taking cognitive-enhancing drugs, or being denied the opportunity to experience a normal childhood. No students have tocome in the country with 20k and also pay for school in advance. The problem is with the excessive border crossings.

Universities are subsidized by Canadian tax payers. So why should rich people from other countries get benefits of it, instead of Canadians!! Also all these so called international students are unskilled labor, who can’t work properly. They should’ve been brining more skilled labor who knows how to work in construction.

What a surprising rule in Canada. You let your people take drugs in account of liberty. But you never allow a foreign student to see their answers sheets in case they have attempted all the questions, but the student declared failed in results. Look into it.

International students are fine, but they should be required to be able to support themselves while in Canada. No subsidized housing, no food bank, no free healthcare

What good is a college to a Canadian education system if 90% of its students are not Canadians?

Yes! Canada is accepting too many international students. My neighborhood is inundated with Indian students due to the private colleges near by and the rents have sky rocketed. There is no available homes or apartments to rent. Very frustrating.

Why you only mention studens from India. Canada have to stop Asian Students and give opportunities people from America, Canada is part of America Continente.

Too many students and they stay after, they need to investigated if their family have convictions, those from India hard to trust them.

I don’t think the student’s are a problem as much as immigration itself.\nCanada has been very negligent the way immigrants were taking in to the Country. Instead of letting these immigrants responsibly come into the Country , they were stampeding into Canada without anyone watching that these people even were eligible or not. We have no doubt many undesirable’s who would not have been allowed under normal circumstances. Even now people have no place to stay, yet more and more immigrants are coming and sit on top of each other. How is this healthy for these people and how is this healthy for Canada and Canadians. As a realtor in London, I agree that we feel the pressure on our rental market. Rent has increased dramatically in the past 5 years. Growing families that rent are choosing to live with less space and stay where they are to keep costs down. rents could more than double by going to a new home (depending on how long they have lived in their current hime and the larger unit they will then move to.) I love our international students and support many of them find housing, but it doesn’t take away from the crisis we see. Since Covid our homeless population has exploded along with surrounding communities like St. Thomas and Woodstock.

No international students! After graduation, they stay in Canada.

I personally know students who have been here in Canada for 3 weeks and they are already working 2 jobs and also going to the food bank for free food.

Canada doesn't make any net foreign money from international students. The money that Ottawa thinks is generating ....is Canadian money being paid from the jobs international students do. Any money that comes from outside of Canada is later reemitted back to the foreign country as most international students take a loan and later pay back that loan from Canadian earned money ...

Post secondary institutions love foreign students. They charge waaaaay more and make that much more.\nThe response against more foreign students by liberal media is the threat that your tuition will go up with limits on foreign students.\nWhat about spaces? For every foreign student there's one less space for Canadian students.\nHousing is the biggest issue today.\nPrevious to Trudeau, the issue was the cost of detached homes in big cities going up but today it's insane rental costs across the board that no one can afford.\nI have been dumb founded as to why after decades of predictable increases and stock suddenly, year after year, cost went up dramatically as stock dwindled.\nI see the same places available, no one's tearing down masses of cheap 70s built rentals so what happened?\nThen I saw the immigration numbers. Canadians aren't having kids so who is taking all this housing? Even these way over priced rentals, a bedroom in a run down house has line ups to rent at $800 month.\nThe only people accessing affordable housing are people on the street or on disability who qualify for it. Low income workers are the most screwed class of people especially if single.

Trudeau doesn’t help students along with too many immigrants without building a place to live

Is 900,000 the number for International Students only, or it includes those who go with them? E.g. Many come with a husband or wife which is granted an Open Work Permit, and many come with kids too. If 900,000 is for IS only, then multiply that by 2 or 3 to include those that go with them. So 2 to 3 Million? Come on, we gotta be kidding.

Canada needs immigration and a lot of it to support the tax base and pay for retiring boomers pensions. Those international students pay a lot to study here and Universities depend on that funding as government funds dry up.

I remember canada immigration has a certain standard and requirements. There were different immigration program such as family class business class. When it comes to student visa graduates studies were offered on funding and scholarships.recently we can see number of high school graduates to attend community College. Canadian takes grant student loan to start any program in college and universities imagine international students from developing countries where the tuition fee is almost double I don't understand the screening process of students. It has benefited to consultants and has ruin canada reputation. There are number of videos in tiktok and YouTube of people making v blog on leaving canada. I feel sad. Canada is a beautiful country but the greed of money has completely ruin the reputation.

You guys still don't seem to understand the situation here. These students don't come here for education, they come here for PR. Student Visa is just a bypass route for them to get that PR. I know few so called students who cant speak a word in english, how do you expect them to clear their international courses. They are not bright honest students. They are the jobless youth of India, who take loans or sell their lands to come here as students and spoil Canadian markets with cash jobs. My humble submission will be to stop Immigration for 3 years, and stop student visa to India for 5 years. Things will fall in place.

I came to Canada 4 years ago as an International Student and now have been working for 2 years. We as international student spent almost all our fortune to study in Canada and work for Canadian companies after graduation. A lot of my engineering majors are also working for government project to build more houses. Therefore, if people are working together on this, Canada could even thrive more given we are the second largest country in the world.

international students = easy money at little to no cost. better than using the printer to print money.
