Imagine being a doctor, lawyer, or engineer in your own country, living a comfortable life, earning a comfortable wage, and you naively leave all that because you think you'll move to Canada thinking you will live the Canadian dream of a better life. Many immigrants find the first few years difficult because of the job ethics. The job ethics here in Canada is quite different from Nigerian with a laidback background. In Canada you work for every cent and it has really worked for them and some of us. I have employed so many Africans especially Nigerians who thought I am mean because they have to work for every penny. You are not paid to come and have a chitchat at work or spend 5 hours on something that could take you 3 hours to do. I will say if you can't change your work ethics and try to integrate into the Canadian system please stay back in your country. I have also seen people who have been clouded with that high life they lived back home and find it difficult to Start at the bottom. Even if you are living a good life in Nigeria, Canada is a better place to live if you can unlearn some things and relearn other things.\nAnd is there systemic racism? The answer is YES. If our leaders treat us right, 80 percent of our people won't leave their country. Let's hold our government responsible not the north American government or their people.

I am from Cameroon, I am an assistant télécommunications engineer since 2016. I had the grace to be recruited by the end of my final year by a foreign company BUT, they are using holes in our labor law in Cameroon. The fact is for 6 years now, I am a temporary worker with monthly renewable contracts even though I am working at the same position for 6 years . The irony being, I barely make 500 usd per month, no salary increase for 5 years and with my wife and kid we can just afford to live day by days. No way for me to save some money. I made the maths: even if I work as a janitor in Canada, I can at least same some money for my child future. I am planning to move to Canada. It will always be better than the Bullshit I am through in my own country

Eye opener for some of us dreaming of working in canada

I am an American currently traveling in Canada. This is my second summer here. If it wasnt for the freezing cold up here, i would start my paperwork to move here permanently. Most likely, I will continue to be here as long as I dont freeze ?every year. I am so over the US and how sick it has become. When I go back to the States, I worry constantly about my safety. Here I never have.

Too much socialism, regulation and taxation.\nAs the government fails at socialism (as all governments do) , they start to spend more, getting increasingly greedy for people's money. As this happens the public notices that they aren't doing so well, and start to place blame on the rich.\nThe government happily increases taxes on businesses.\n\nBusinesses in response either;\n- Close down\n- Increase prices\n- Cut jobs\n- Reduce wages\n- Move overseas\n\nIncreasing taxes on Businesses has resulted on less money than the government expected, but the government doesn't want to reduce spending...so they increase taxes on everyone else.\n\nThis is what's happened on so many western countries.\n\nBut lets bring on that global corporation and wealth tax! As a 25 year old woman living in one of the most expensive cities in Canada, i thankfully have affordable rent and a job with good work life balance and zero debts, but I find saving and getting into the housing market a task more difficult than climbing Mount Everest. If I could get a house my risking my life climbing that death hill, I would, cause it’s much easier than being in a 90 year mortgage which what the government seems to think is a ‘solution’ I’m just about ready to move to the US, where my chances are better ?

Very good video but a few things are missed. \nLife in Canada is far better than any day in the USA!\nCANADA has a Public, Single-Payer Healthcare Insurance since the 1960's, something the USA in 2023 still does not have. So yes you may make\nmore money in the USA, but that all can go away with a serious health issue even with US private Insurance. Plus Canada is very\nmulticultural and Racism towards many is barely an issue compared to the USA.\nI grew up in the USA and now live in Canada and even though I have the choice to live in either country, YOU could not pay me to live\nin the USA, culturally the country is a nightmare if you are not White, Christian and Heterosexual then you are considered a problem.
