Believe it not the U.S. and other countries are partly to blame for this, with the help of corrupt officials in these South American countries. Mexico has invested 100 million dollars in South America creating jobs and helping small businesses, so people have jobs and don’t have the need to leave their countries. Mexico ask the U.S. to at least match that amount and it refuse. You might argue that that’s not the United States problem, well it’s not Mexico’s either but everybody has to help. Especially when you are going down there opening mines and displacing farmers .

I live in Juárez, Venezuelans here are offered jobs and they refuse, they wanna live off government help. I believe everything should be done the legal way. Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

My family and I came here over 20 years ago. We have done everything!. Taxes my family opened their own business they have been a example of a American people. We even met people who are maga hats but loved my family because their humble ways but also how welcoming they are. Now this people are fucking entitled! I came to this country and slept in a room with 14 people. This people want their own rooms ,housing for one family. I was so happy when my family helped me out and I got my first boots I was rocking them like you wouldn't imagine. They literally get money, housing,carry iphones.
