I left Canada several years ago...too cold, depression, racism high cost of living etc. Im very happy in the country of my birth great weather natural foods etc. I feel balanced here. I still keep my Canadian citizenship and visits sometimes, going back to live in Canada hmmmm not sure maybe. Its a beautiful country clean and welcoming but for now Jamaica is my home?????

I think relocating to Canada and subsequently leaving is a product of not having proper information or having a misconception about a western country before moving there in the first place. There's an emphasis of 'you really have to work hard' for new immigrants which they generally take for granted. Quite frankly, only sincere people empathize on hardwork. I find that most people seeking suggestion/advice always want to start from the top to bottom rather than bottom to top. Every society has it's own challenges. New immigrants who have just been in Canada for only 3years get frustrated while comparing themselves with people who have lived in Canada for 15 years. Growth is a gradually process, when it's automatic it's too good to be true!! All these similar countries run the say type of system, you gotta love where you chose to live. With that being said, we will continue to welcome new immigrants who re willing to start from the beginning to grow their dreams and wave goodbye to people who came and decided to leave. I love Canada ??

Im Asian and I love Vancouver! The weather is beautiful and mild! I enjoy the rainy days cozying up with nice jazz music on gorgeous cafes and restaurants Vancouver has. It is expensive yes, however if your Asian its not, you just havent explored the Asian market place, cheap housing are also available in the outskirt cities and the best part of it is you are near the beaches and outdoor recreation and fun! Taxes are high yep thats true however with three different surgeries my family had from Apendicitis, to Gall bladder stone removal and stent angioplasty that could have cost us millions but got it for free, also the Free education, Child support, CERB, etc, taxes doesnt seem to matter anymore. British Columbia's mountain ranges, ski resort, hot springs, also Albertas Banf, Jasper, and Canmore for me are truly majestic safe and beautiful! Ive been all around South east Asia Europe and even the middle east however the welcoming nature and culture of Canadians and the power of a canadian Passport for me trumps all other cities in other countries. If you want to learn extreme news go to Asia like, China, North Korea, and the Philippines, also the USA the most extreme of them all! Rules are indeed frustrating but Canadian rules are nothing compared to Singapore, if you want freedom try India, try to walk in sexy clothing on the streets. In the Philippines everybody drives drunk specially on Friday nights. The Canadian mindset of a Multi cultural communinty and the welcoming athmosphere of their thinking for me is the reason why Canada is truly the best place to live.

Quebec wouldn't be my number one pick. Montreal is a nice but the winters in Quebec are cold as are a lot of the residents. I wouldn't suggest you go to quebec as a anglophone cuz the francophones won't welcome you and will be rude in most cases. But hey if you speak french quebec is your best bet. You will also get PR very fast.

Because Canada sucks! I lived in Montreal for five years and I left. It was the best decision I made. Immigrants are welcome to work those jobs Canadians do not want to do and to pay for the pensions for old Canadians while paying high taxes.

Facts are in 2021 Canada welcomed over 400 thousand new permanent residents. We printed over 400 billion dollars in the last two years. The average time for a permit to build a new house is over 6 months. What I don’t understand is that we welcomed all the new immigrants while in a housing crisis if a hotel is full do they still keep renting rooms? We printed 400 billion dollars to pay for Covid where if we would have just used masks and washed our hands we could have saved 400 billion dollars. With Canada having one of the world’s lowest population to land mass and tons of natural resources I can’t understand how we can’t cut costs shorten wait times on permits.

I am an Indian and I have lived in sweden for 4 years. It is more or less the same. I tried calling people for food but most of them never showed up or had no Interest. I am glad I left and return back to my country. Everything in moderation makes sense to me. If money is important then so is your culture, food and family that brings comfort to you. In the developing world, you will generally find people more friendly and welcoming. It is easy to get around with people. But not so in the west.

Not sure how I came upon this video but I'm American that's lived here all my life. It's so incredibly lonely, even as an American. I wish I could find people that want to have friendships and community. People like me are out there looking for friends and would gladly welcome immigrants!

Everyone's opinion will be different. I am black American. What u see now doesn't mean it's always been that way. When I was growing up in the suburbs of long Island, everyone was outside every chance they got. We kids made up games, jumped rope played in the parks went to the beach concerts etc. The adults, if lived in apartments including housing, sat outside and interacted. Neighbors in houses had block parties, new neighbor welcoming, and so on. One of the reasons at least in my community was that a lot of folks were from the south. Everyone spoke, knew each other in their villages. As time went on and more foreign born moved in things changed mainly because of difference in culture then in some places crime is bad. There's no one shoe fits all. It's different all over this big country.

I lived in Canada for 15 years and this rang true more & more as the years went on, I would never order food online as I needed an excuse to leave the house. At 49 I found myself pondering what to do with my life, I went on vacation to Thailand and the first thing that struck me was the openness and friendliness of the place. People sit in the front of their house with the doors open and everybody is welcome to say hi, of course there are exceptions. I now live in Thailand with my new wife in a small village, our doors are never locked, family comes, neighbours come, kids play, everybody is welcome anytime. Such a better way to live. Yes we are. We went to a thrift store where they insisted they take my moms bag and put it behind the counter. They didn't say anything about my much bigger bag. My mom is brown, I'm fairly light skinned.. as a kid I witnessed a driver telling her and my sister who is also dark skinned that there is no more room on the bus (when Cleary there was) I went to get off and he saw I was with them and he let them on. If I hadn't witnessed it myself I wouldn't have believed it. What's worse was this driver was also brown. Oops, a little politics won't hurt anyone) Getting back on maths, on this date there are 196,685 profiles in the CRS pool, which equates to around CAD 590,065,500 in ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING FEE alone. 2 years later it's gonna be another, and another, and another........you get the idea right?\n\nCanada welcomes you to spend some money, but there's no guarantees.
