From all this talk and everything money is what is needed, those who are well to do will complain but for those who are struggling and want to move for greener pastures i think they should as someone in the united States I agree it hard but the opportunities are limitless, even with the discrimination, inflation and all i am able to live a comfortable life and provide for my siblings, and we talk about discrimination even among us Africans we have tribalism, we prefer our tribe than others so lets not just make it as if abroad is the only place discrimination occurs, in all i think its your choice everything has its good and bad , i am grateful for my life so i am not going to complain, good luck to anyone travelling abroad ,

As a second generation Nigerian immigrant (parents were born in Nigeria and I was born in the US). I 100% agree w/ his perspective. I’ve spent consider amount of time in Nigeria w/ my side of the family that’s doing well and the other side that aren’t. Aboard should only be for people who have no opportunity back home as in they have tried everything and nothing worked for them. If you are doing well in Nigeria, try and give birth to your kids in the US so they can retrieve citizenship. There is no reason a successful person back home should sell their things and move aboard even for kids as you can send them aboard to receive an education and help them gain citizenship and from their they can file for you. The amount of systemic racism, odd jobs you will have to work (God forbid you don’t have a degree and you move aboard for non degree purposes that’s when aboard will show you pepper), cost of surviving is expense here especially now as inflation is high. It’s just not benefiting especially if you were better off in Nigeria. However, this shouldn’t stop you from coming just know that the road isn’t easy and some places are worse than others. I’ve never been to Canada but have been to the UK and by far would advice anyone from back home to avoid UK at all cost. Not even sure how Nigerians are even making it there lol (it’s a never ending cycle of poverty plus citizenship is very difficult to gain and the discrimination in my opinion is much worse than the US. UK society has a class system and it only really empowers British people. The UK is so bad that they even discriminate against Eastern Europeans that should let you know a lot.) Also why do you think most Brits Nigerians come back to Naija hoping to secure job compared to American Nigerians and let me tell you it’s not because the UK is close to Nigeria, there is a true lack of opportunity. There are more opportunity in the US and possibly Canada compared to the Europe.

For those that don't understand why he said staying for kids because if you're a Nigerian you will understand the situation at hand safety, you have the money back home but it can't save you when big matters arises no light no good medical equipment your going out n coming always scared of being kidnapped and so on so don't say go back everything he said is correct but in God we trust

When we treat illegal immigrants better than veterans or US citizens, why wouldn't they risk everything to get here.?

I live in Brampton Ontario Canada and I second everything Mr. Ashir Azeeem has said. He is an honest man and doing all this voluntarily for the community. I love the idea he is working on creating a community app that is badly needed here as we as a community are weak and we do not have a one voice. I had to sell my condo because of all the drug addict population increasing in my neighborhood downtown and the government put some injection sites all around downtown Toronto ; it has become disgusting and dangerous because all those people just trash everything they touch and wherever they go, and then because I didn't agree with all the discrimination taxes and xenophobia from the government's part. I am glad I was able to get the hell out before the total collapse of the economy and real estate prices and I don't regret it 1 minute. Canada sucks really.

Now would probably be the worst time for people to come to the West. Food and housing is really expensive. Regular folks are struggling in this economy. It’s predicted to get even worse. I feel sorry for those who are trapped. Working several hours a day for low pay. This is the same crap in my tiny island of Trinidad in the Caribbean, except they come over in boats. There are over 100,000 of them here illegally. Our crime rate was already high but now it's almost uncontrollable. They work for less money, so they are taking away jobs and housing. They send all their money out of the country so our economy is slowly worsening. They get free health care and enjoy everything our citizens get because my government felt sorry for them.

Maybe if the yankees stayed home instead of invading these ppls countries only to destroy or displace them... America and every other allied country going through this issue with migration... ​@Americaisgreat12 the rent is high bc there is not enough housing. Its simple supply and demand. Apartments are high in price bc there is not enough housing and people will just pay whatver a landlord is requiring bc they have no other choices. We also live in a capitalist dictatorship where everything is based off what ppl will pay for it. Ppl will pay for outrageous prices by getting roommates bc that's better than being homeless. So many ppl need housing that a lot of apts are on the wevsite for only 1 or 2 days before being rented. The real problem is actually wages. Housing has gone up with inflation. Property managers still have to pay for things when they are broken or even for cleaning an apt after someone moves out. All of those prices has gone up, so its not like Property managers are raising prices to screw over ppl. They do it bc the cost of everything is going up. The real problem is wages are not going up.

Maybe if they put that much effort into fixing their homeland they wouldn't feel they need to be here. They gonna be in for a surprise when they find out the roads ain't paved with gold here. You make more money but you pay way more money to so what's the diff. I'm for freedom and humanity and I believe in helping the needy but at what point do you draw the fckng line. We can't even or wont even help pur own people we need to do that b4 worrying bout rest of the world.
