The only thing I know is that In Canada there have been many fundamental aspects that are maintained by Canadians. Such as freedom of expression, freedom from limitations based off of sex or other social cliches and so on. \nSure we tolerate all different ways of life. This is a new wave of idealogies that will bring back the old imprisoning features, just with a new way of presenting it. We eventually found a harmony with Christianity. We will Find one with Islam. \n\nI really dont understand this religion though. I dont get why a women would want to conceal what she is. I guess I have to research it... I got more important things to do though than to read some other persons doctrine on how to exist thankyou very much.

I love the woman who is a Muslim, speaking out against Muslims. She does have several good points. There has been so much violence that has gone hand in hand with the religion. Don't make it worse by rubbing Islam in people's faces.

There is so much negativism associated with Islam and all Muslims get tarred with the same brush. They frighten us. Their dress is alien to us. ISIL and other groups do unspeakable things in the name of their religion. Their religion is too demanding. Christianity and other religions can adjust to scientific facts. We KNOW the world is round and there are other worlds, so far unpopulated, out there. Islam seems to demand adherence to its core beliefs written centuries ago and makes no concessions to emerging facts. Religion is the main influence in the life of Muslims and their Imams seem to have a lot to do with governance and education, instead of the separation of church and state to which we are used. If you come to Canada to live, then adjust to our values or leave, please. This doesn't mean that you have to stop attending a mosque but please discontinue the scary body coverings and start treating your women as equals, not chattels. Even some women will argue with that last bit, but why does a woman have to cover up and a man does not? This is NOT equality.

Canada is going the way of Europe (France, Belgium - even England). Religions are all absurd nonsense, but this one is particularly worrisome, advocating violence, the destruction of infidels and installation of shariah law. More political than mystical, really. So sad to throw away this great country built by our hard working, well meaning ancestors. Safety should trump religion. Nowhere in the quaran does it say women should wear burqa. That is a practice adopted by muslim men to keep their women inline.

I don't care if you wear hijab but covering face all the time and refusing to take pictures for lisence and passport is not okay. also when the whole world has problem with your religion maybe there must actually be problem you have to fix and not act like you are the victims. we have right to be careful and no its not fair to you but this is what people who follow Islam faith and harm others get you. Islamic people out cry for their right but have to problem taking others away. for example wanting daycares to ban pork just because they can have porn. you should not get special treatment for you religion. I am Hindu/Buddhist and I do not ask people to stop eating beef or many other restrictions that apply to me. the pride of your religion is what's keeping you guys from sensible thinking. and no not all Muslims are the same but the percentage of people that share hatred for other religions is too great too ignore. if you want people to accept you then try becoming a part of the culture and not try to change it for your liking. show love to other faiths and athiests. stop trying to make exceptions for your religion.

If Muslims in Canada truly do not want non-Muslims to be afraid/distrust their beliefs, they should stop allowing the Muslim Extremists of the World to be the leading voice of their religion.

Then why do they demand their religion only. They try to ban Merry Christmas, alcohol, pork products etc...if they were peaceful they would not make demands to convert. Having many wife's is illegal in Canada, but Islam demands it, you knew before you came here, that we did not allow it, but you force your laws upon every other religion, why?

Muslims leave their homes and countries because their religion has destroyed them and now they want to bring those same ideologies here rather than fix them there. The best way to solve this problem is through education. Education is like a lighthouse that burns through the fog of religious rhetoric. As muslim people (and people of any religion, for that matter) become better educated, the grip of religion weakens and eventually disappears. It may take a few generations. I'm optimistic that Canada can beat this problem without violence.

If they go to an airport, do they have to take the niqab off? If they don't, its a security issue. If they can see our faces, why is it fair for them to look at us? There is only one god, and to get there does not mean by having a book tell you what to wear and how you wear it. If you want to wear hijabs in a country that is christian, then live like them too. The thing is you hear things about ISIS or hamas and you try to separate it and say that it only the extremists, when in fact the moderates still support it. when speaking to a muslim friends of mine i asked her if your book says killing is wrong then why is there so much of it in islam? to my dismay she said that as long as they're killing for her religion its ok and that she supports things like the charlie hebdo shootings. She claims to support freedom of speech, but in reality, only things that are not opposed to islam. tried telling her if you ant talk about something freely then it isn't freedom of speech but she couldnt comprehend that. its disappointing to see that even though they are not the ones directly in the terrorist groups, they still support what they do.

All religion deserves criticism.

I do feel for the moderates who might feel embarrassed about Jihadists acting in the name of Islam, and anxiety about being associated with them, but at the same time, these moderates have a unique position in defining their religion. They can do this by addressing all the concerns western civilisation has about values, namely about freedom of speech, female rights, homosexual rights, and apostasy - where the holy texts encourage anti-liberal values, moderates should be quick to criticise them. But if moderates are actively AGAINST criticism of these areas, I have no sympathy whatsoever.
