Thank you Canada for what you gave me through my own efforts. To go to university with my own money, to buy a house around the same time, to be able to have my son in a prestigious school, for all this I thank you. But this doesn't mean that I don't see big issues around me. I do see them and also, I see nothing to solve something. So, four more years Canada. That's it. I have enough.

Canada doesn't need simplified bureaucracy or an international marketing manager to correct immigrants leaving. Canada's problem is that it's not a growing economy and skilled foreign labour coming over doesn't want to work menial jobs. Stimulate sectors, create growth, and that'll attract immigration.

Our birth-rate is low, so we do need immigrants, that being said, housing needs to keep up and so do appreciation of foreign experience. \nSome of the Ukrainian refugees that we welcomed in NL were doctors and nurses and they really wanted to start working, but were not allowed because they were not trained in Canada. This isn't even a foreigner issue, if a doctor/nurse wanted to move to a different province there are still obstacles, which doesn't make sense to me! Sure healthcare workers from other countries should be brought up to speed on the system, but at the end of the day, they still acquired the education and work experience to do their job and can provide proof of their credentials, it should not take years to work in Canada.

I got here with my wife less than a year ago. My employer doesn't pay what is stated on my work contract. I think there's a lot of abuse from employers on immigrants coming in on closed work permits. The reason we've stayed is because we've invested a lot of time and effort into getting here just to give up easily. Had we known it would be like this, we would have probably not come. Mind you, not all employers are like this, I just happened to run into bad luck. I know of other cases in which this happens and it's infuriating. My wife is a nurse and cant work here as one due to restrictions in her work permit. I guess there's no demand in the healthcare industry here...

Canada's system need improvement. That's an understatement if I ever heard one. When the necessities of life are made difficult to acquire and the government doesn't do it's job to fix it, you don't have much of a choice but to leave. It's basic survival. One of the basic necessities of a functioning government are to make sure its population is fed, yet I don't see anything being done about it. Lots of talk. Absolutely nothing done.

heck do that survey with canadian resident not migrants now and prepared to be unpleasantly surprised ... why stay in a country that doesn't give a rats ass about you , employers and big business can do pretty much anything now because of covid and the '' worker shortage'' ; so again who wants to stay here when you are treated all around like crap , where gov services are all around going down the toilet , taxes high and for sure going to be even higher , where food prices are sky high while the quality is less than mediocre ; where its now almost impossible to build a family because of the housing crisis and general cost of living crisis. So again why stay in a country where you have NO FUTURE !?

Canada is on a downward spiral. Years of political inactions to solve or apprehend problems combine with a private sector that doesn't invest in innovations has led to the current situation.

some of your facts on 'racism' might be more a matter of spewing out liberal narratives on the subject as has been a popular topic for votes and generating upset, money etc etc. ... but go a bit deeper, and the reasons may not have much to do w racism. do you think it could simply be parenting, choices, skills, etc etc.. To quickly blame someone that doesn't even know the person - and say the white person is racist and racism is the reason is not right or fair. I lived in the US for 30 years. I hated every year, except for having my sons there. My American husband is a staunch NRA supporter. At the 30 year mark, when I gave him an ultimatum. I gave him 30 years down there, and the time had come where he needed to do 30 years in Canada. We've been in Canada for 6 years, and he doesn't ever want to go back.\nI feel for the new mothers, who only get 6 weeks maternity leave (8 weeks for C-Section).\nCanadian Mums get a full year. Nurturing your new baby is necessary for a well-balanced child. You can't bond in 6 weeks. \nYour health insurance is nuts. We paid $1500/mo. just for our family. Then you have a $5k deductible first! Just walking into the ER is $500 and THEN add on labs, x-rays, meds, etc. My son was in mental health treatment and our insurance capped mental health at $25k for life. \nThe biggest slap up my head, was when I found out I CAN'T collect my SSI. I paid a lot of taxes, since we made 6 figures/year. So, now I'm screwed, since they won't pay a former Permanent Resident. Had I been a citizen, I could get it. My husband is a PR in Canada, waiting to take his citizenship test. If he applies for SSI, he needs to go down to the States for 30 days and nights, annually. \nI'm from Toronto, born and raised and I am so happy to have my feet back in my own country. My boys are still there, as well as my grandchildren. Thankfully, they fly up twice a year. You couldn't pay me to move back.

It’s true, Canada does get pretty cold at least for some provinces. But, it Doesn’t get inhumanly sweltering summers…summers are great!

It varies from Province to Province since health care is a Provincial competece .\nI had to pay for something for my child when he was a few months old.\nThose fees are regulated and there's an annual maximum you have to pay depending your income; usually it doesn't cost more than 200 USD.\nDentistry and sight glasses are not covered so you need a private insurance.\nMeds ( drugs ) are partially covered by the Provincial meds insurance if you don't have a private insurance.

Came to Canada in 2008 (to Quebec). Got my family doctor (a team of doctors in the polyclinic) last year. Same for our kids, born here. Canada also doesn't acknowledge medical degrees or experience from other countries. They protect the salaries of the doctors by artificially limiting the number of doctors that can practice. Therefore doctors leave Canada... Electrical engineers also should avoid QC if they don't speak fluent French... Quebec is discriminating against the English speaking community and gets away with it. Anglophones in Quebec are also subject to higher unemployment...

Hospital wait times in Canada are a nightmare because EVERYONE goes to the ER for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. \n We don’t have “Urgent care clinics” like you have in the USA. \nWe have walk in clinics (basically just family physicians who don’t actually take on patients on a permanent basis and close by like 4pm \nYour kid has a cold - emergency room\nLittle scrape falling off a swing set - emergency room\nStung by a bee? - emergency room\n\nNo one has any idea how to care for themselves here. Can’t bring down a fever with Tylenol, can’t clean a wound that doesn’t require medical intervention, can’t do anything because we’ve been so coddled with “free medical care”

Education: The US primary and secondary school education system is based on municpal taxes. In Canada, it doesn't matter where you live: The schools get the same funding. This is a big deal.

Just because my life would probably be very good in the USA, it doesn't mean it's not a bad place. Just because you don't experience your kid dying in school, your wife not allowed an abortion, denied care because health care is a business, etc... doesn't mean the USA is not a bad place. It's nice to visit, but a crappy place overall.

The person who paid out of pocket in Toronto is likely because they are no longer a Canadian resident and doesn't pay taxes...therefore must pay for his own healthcare. It would be reinstated after a certain amount of time back LIVING in Canada, not visiting

You are better dead than poor in the USA. Your politics are entertainment, and very destressing. No matter which side you are on, about 50% of the people hate you. There is no middle ground, meanwhile your children die more from gunshot than anything else. You have made law and order a business, incarnating more citizens than any other country in the world. You have made medical a business as well, again , better dead than poor in the USA. \n I have meet some fine US people, the general population is not that much different from Canadians. The people are not the government, either, they are just people. \n I don't hate, or even dislike the USA, I just feel they have a system in place that doesn't really represent the average citizen. One thing I would love to see in the US is a third political party, more middle of the line. Something is needed to pull America back together again.

I'm an american that's never lived in the U.S. But aside from obvious things (health care, buying beer at any store) life in Windsor/Detroit doesn't seem too different.

Education is much in Canada. Just because they don’t force kids to cram doesn’t mean their education is not good. The syllabus and curriculum is the same and even better…. In the end the graduate of 12th grade from Canada will be much better and qualified than a 12th graduate from India.

Putting the health operators' budgets, which based on ACTUAL costs of doing business with doctors. There's a long time to get your OWN doctor. They are able to refer you to a work history that is BEST for the patient. There's very little bragging about how many appendectomies you did today. Doctor x gets a negotiated salary. That means there's no spedway operating rooms, unless that's the case, at the moment. I'm such a klutz, I would either die from poverty, or starve to death, to meet the payments to stay alive. This doesn't surprise me. Canada usually out ranks the U.S. in terms of best country in the world to live in... especially in the last 5 years.

Just because there are only white employees in certain company, doesn't immediately mean that somebody is racist. Believe me, every company wants to have most profit from its work, so if any black/asian/latino would bring more $$$ to the company they would be hired over somebody that is white. But some people are looking for racism everywhere.

They don't wanna leave their home land but, They feel They have no choice but, to look for hope in America ... This was the exact situation which I explain my friends. I hope every person who has watched the video might get a little idea of the current situation of Punjab and Sikhs. And I must say that majority of Sikhs loves India and doesn’t support the Khalistan Ideology. But I still hope that Sikhs who suffered in 1984 must get justice (because delayed justice has brought some people with disappointment) and there should be more development in the State of Punjab.
