Hello brothers and sisters I’m seeing a problem here. The interest rate in the late 1970s and early 1980s interest rate was 12-18%. People\nComing now are in MUCH better financial condition then people who came then with nothing. The difference is two main things: many new immigrants don’t have the same drive and motivation that previous immigrants in terms of sacrifices such as not driving a mustang, but they also didn’t just settle for labour jobs, they used their brains and began business along side labour. Second thing is, the immigrant wants to see the result before putting in the work. If after getting out of the horrible conditions of India and coming to Canada, a country loaded with opportunities, you still have difficulties then you need to change your expectations and work ethic to match, if they don’t then don’t complain. Cost of living is not the issue, it is the false expectation that they give themselves. To be quite honest with you it takes most immigrants one generation not 5-10 years, so either start working smarter or wait to have this reflection of what Canada is like until you have lived here for 50 years.

Great documentary, but in my opinion, it's terribly one-sided, portraying these colleges as villains and the students as poor, innocent victims. As a former international student from India myself, who had the privilege of attending a prestigious university in the UK, working there, and moving on, the workings of this situation are as clear as daylight and as old as the hills. \nIt wasn't any different back then in the UK 20 years ago, during the heady Blair days, when UK colleges significantly increased their intake of international students, aided by a lax visa regime. This was also in response to tighter visa restrictions in the US following 9/11. Students enrolling in such colleges, as well as the parents funding them, are well aware that these are degree mills. The sole aim here is to somehow navigate through college and stay long enough until permanent residency comes through. \nTears flow and protests erupt only when this unspoken but clearly understood agreement is broken, often with the media conveniently at hand. The reasons driving this insatiable urge are multifarious, but poverty and lack of opportunities in the country (in this case, India) do not really rank high on the list. Social prestige and an imagined better life in the 'West' certainly do, particularly among young people from states like Punjab, Haryana, and parts of Gujarat. \nNothing about this is illegal, and not to sound cynical, these are market forces at work. However, in my view, this represents a more accurate truth. It would be great to see Fifth Estate also report from this side

If u re foreign student u must return to ur country of citizenship. This is what u need to commit on ur application for student visa. It was a major multibillion dollar industry fraud for H visas from India

So he is supposed to follow the state law. Good. Now where can he wear his kripan, and expect not to be questioned, harrased, discriminated? Only one country - India.\n\nYet they are fighting against India, with Khalistani agenda. How misguided can someone be?!
2023-08-24 0
They go there for a good life. When they don't get it start asking India's help. And when they do get help then they start bashing India in every way possible including some khalistani elements.\n\nPlease stand on your own feet when you are in another country and go on your own. Don't create problems for India and its people.

Well made. Wish I had this info atleast a decade ago. I’m one of the Sanjay. Immigrated to US in 2008 from India. In the green card queue for 10 years. Not sure if I get it in my lifetime. I have a foreign born daughter who I brought here when she was only few months old. She might have to self deport in a few years when she is 21. This is her home and only country she knew.\n\nThe US immigration system is cruel for people like Sanjay. But every politician knows this problem after our advocacy efforts but nobody wants to touch it. They only want our tax $$$ ..

I feel lucky that i came back to my home country india after spending 9 months in Canada. There is a bubble which is gonna be explode soon instead of spending 20-25 lakhs on study be smart to invest that money somewhere else so that you can get a proper return. Also the depressing culture there in canada is just horrible

There is a university professor at Toronto university who can’t even find an apartment in another news report. How much of a scam this country has become inside out?\n\nHow about a student visa partnership with India and relocate good Canadian universities there? I’m sure many Canadian students are desperately looking for a better future as well. Maybe the future is in India guys.

If anyone needs refugee claim, it is the Canadian truckers whos roghts werw forcefully taken away by Trudeau government, while they were perfectly peacefully protesting within legal provisions. They would nneed refuge in a more free country oike India where democracy freedom works.much better.
2023-08-15 0
Canada should put a full stop to this blatant abuse of refugee policy, which is meant for real refugees from war torn countries, not some fancy schemers and families of former terrorists seeking refuge under completely false pretext. Seriously 1.4 billion people in India have threat for their safety ? Billions of flourishing Punjabis are perfectly fine and prosperous in India, where most of the games government and military is filled with Punjabis, what planet are these Canadian supporters living on ?

Only good thing is law and order in westren countries.....which is not present in asian countries like Pakistan and india ...\nEach govt individual has a lot of protocols...but there is equality....no one can kill you without any reason and go away easily....no humiliation is present in us and Canada
2023-08-10 0
india is morelively organic , us and canada are artificial country
2023-08-10 0
Its not India. There are different rules in every country. If you are not comfortable with their laws, Dont GO.\nThey are not forcing you to stay there.

Why do young people try to move out ? Simply, better job and better opportunities in life. If asked, young people back home with good job & money will definitely like to visit these countries but will seldom settle there. India happens to be a colourful country with permanent chaos - & it has a deadly attraction at the end. Let me spend and enjoy every remaining moment in this chaos.

No country outside Canada keeps illegal immigrates for feelings or humanitaire reasons. What have they done to stay in Canada from 2015.. collecting welfare at home for sure .. how about Mr. India Trudeau is he going to help people that vote for him, ???
2023-08-08 0
I sympathise with the individual, but per country limits are genius — feelings aside. They bring about greater diversity, protect wages, and one might argue they are of national security interest.\n\nI would invite any immigrant to put themselves in the US’ shoes. For example, if India were to become a hotspot for immigration, and suddenly millions of foreigners from some country, say China, were applying for immigration each year into India, what policy would you enact as an Indian citizen?\n\nCanada is on a path of reckoning in my opinion. Time will tell.
2023-08-08 0
Excellent decision by immigration Canada .send them back to India and send all Indians refugees and African refugees as well. We don’t need them in this country.
2023-08-08 0
so what they went through the process and they said it's not enough ..... i don't get why they can't like move to any of the 12 country's between india and canada

Why is Canada trying to deport them back to India when this country is basically India already. ?

The main problem IMHO is that H-1B was never meant to begin working after having studied. The reason employer HAVE to go this route is because an Employment based greencard with the PERM DoL approval, the I-140 employer petition and the I-485 takes 2-4 years + plus endless wait due to country quotes for India and China. In the 1980ies and 1990ies that took 3-6 months and you began the process while you were still at university but found an employer ready and willing to employ you.\nThat has always been the standard way to live in the US via employment.\n\nFor Sanjay - if he gets an employer petition I-140 - has one hope though - there is a change in the pipeline to give Employment Authorization (the red cards) upon approved I-140 and filed I-485 even before the priority date. Fingers crossed.

Serves them good. Why go to another country for education unless you enroll to an elite University? India has lot of good colleges.

I too wanted to go abroad to study but when I came to knw that Indian students overthere work as cheap labourers I quit that idea of going abroad to study n decided to stay in India n study in Indian college n today I'm well established in L&T construction as civil engineer earning salary in 6 digits.\n\nI love my india n request all fellow Indians to stay in India rather than living miserable life in foreign countries

I have been to 25 countries across uk,Europe, north America,Middle East , hog kong,Singapore, never felt anywhere better than India. Yes other countries are definitely better in typical infrastructure but still India scores lot better in other things. Not talking in terms of fake patriotism but even for all practical purposes (offcourse my personal opinion) and tbh Canada I was never interested

If other countries is prohibitted to carry knives like this why not in India do the same.

As a Feathered ? North American Indian\n from CANADA ?? \nI am so impressed\n with Indian ?? Nationals here in Canada. \nWeather it be Students or Adults\nAll are contributing Greatly to our economy.\n.I sympathize with those being fraudulently Douped By Agents selling false promises of housing and employment. \nI realize sum family fortunes have been spent sending students to school abroad\n. Those Agents can choke on their ill gotten gains\n\nBe Proud India ??\nYou're valued immigration to our country ?????

If India establishes enough universities for its citizens in its own country, then it would not be necessary for so many Indians to study at foreign universities.
2023-08-04 0
I believe that the idea/logic behind the same percentage to every country under the US policy is exactly what you have mentioned - the don't want the US to become China or India. They want the population to be diverse, and TBH I can understand that.

I grew up in India and moved to Canada despite having family in the U.S. because I did not want to go through the shit show that is American immigration. That said, with the housing situation and generally how expensive things are in Canada, after 15 years, despite being a tech. worker, I decided to leave the country. I moved to Japan and despite the shrinking economy and demographic woes, I feel quite relieved to be out of the unsustainable shit show that is Canadian housing. Not to mention the weather, the absence of any dynamism in society or its culture, plus many other factors. It's been over a year now since I'm out and I frankly don't see myself going back unless there is a sustained correction in housing prices.\n\nFurthermore, I think immigrants don't understand how exploitative the Canadian economy can be towards newcomers. The problem with living in Canada vs. the U.S. is not comparable really at the level of immigration. Canadian immigration is easier but the problems of living in a smaller, less economically and culturally dynamic, more expensive, colder country never go away despite you having quickly received the opportunity to settle.

It's not her fault, lower class people are racist everywhere. Only problem when Medium class Indian from India lives with lower class in foreign countries. Because of the exchange rate Medium class Indian have to live with lower class people in Western countries.

Being in Canada , I feel it's a country for humans and but India people are becoming animals and devil, it's never about money or car or house, it is about safety, security, quality of life, ethics , moral and don't get trapped by house costs becoz no labour in India earns 1.25 lakhs a month and those who earn they cannot buy house in easy go, the house in India belongs to parents but if today's generation has to build one in India it's close to impossible so it's same , at the end I would never want that my small daughters are unsafe , my mother sister or any known female can be paraded naked or someone can urinate on your face ,

How can people be so blunt in the comments.... You cant bring a knife to a social place outside India... Their country their rules... I have nothing against a sikh carrying kripan in India... Yes they carry guns but dont show it in public...dont try to justify what is wrong

Maybe because other people don't want to immigrate to Canada but seems like 80% of immigrants in the past decade have been from India. \n\nSeems like most immigrants continue to live like they back home and as a whole it has become a much dirtier place, especially in Southern Ontario some times hard to tell which country you are actually living in.

@polymatter: \nI have enjoyed your videos for a long time. You do great job in explaining the finer details.\nThis video particularly hits hard to me as I am Indian living in USA on a H1B visa. I did my masters here in US and have been working for past 5 yrs, in total 7 years. My company just initiated my i140 application which will take around 3 yrs to complete then the wait for GC will start for 15yrs (for Indians only). During this time we are at the employers mercy. We do get high salaries. But we are in a perpetually limbo. Its hard to find a spouse, start a family or invest in property as your future here is uncertain. \n\nThe H1B lottery system was introduced to keep the selection fair, as there are limited number of applications accepted each year. Hence it is a gamble for immigrants wanting to come here to study and work. The chance of getting H1B is almost 50/50. H1B visa is a temporary work visa, it was designed to be applicable for 3-4yrs until one gets the GC. But because of GC country backlog folks are on it for 15-20yrs.\n\nThe Greencard country limits were introduced in 2009 as the US government felt they needed diversity in the country. They were scared that US will be filled with Indians and Chinese immigrants. Hence the country caps on each country on GC. So if one is born in Nepal, Sri Lanka or Pakistan they get their GC within 1-3 yrs. Where as Indians need to wait 15-20yrs. But here is the wired part, they only consider the country of birth NOT citizenship. Ex: My friend was born in Oman and was raised in India, he is Indian and has Indian citizenship. He got his GC in 1 yr. \n\nThese H1B policies are not a priority to the US government as H1B folks do not have voting rights. They do not have any incentives to change the legacy policies. And we as immigrants in US have no voice except to sit back and pray we get lucky. \n \nThanks for shining a light on this issue. Appreciate it!!

Sana & Ashar, firstly aap dono ko mera bohot bada SALUTE guys. Jo struggle Kiya and uspar Jo aapka focus that Australian PR ka, bohot se log haar maan letey hai, but aap dono ka conviction. \n\nShayad yeh galat nahi hoga k ismei Pakistan k halaat bhi add on kartey hai k aap dono itne adamant they k aap wapas nahi jayenge aur jaise bhi kar k Australia mei settle ho jayenge. Uspar Jo Sana ne study kar k 2 jobs kiye ....Uffff....yeh aaj sun ne mei ya bolne mei asaan lag raha hoga but i cannot even think about how you managed and of course Ashar bhai ka support Jo podcast mei bhi aap ki tuning se clearly samajh aa rahi hai. \n\nHonestly mai yeh pod cast nahi dekhna chahta tha looking at Australia se Canada, aise laga pehle k kya big deal, ek acchi jagah se doosri acchi jagah, 1.5X par dekha ? but I am glad I watched this video.\n\nBas ek cheez jisse mei sehmat nahi hu, woh hai Dubai ki life, Mai waha reh chuka hu aur 2005-2008 tak aur Mai us k baad bhi 2-3 times waha ghumne gaya hu and job search liye 3 months raha bhi hu, but guys agar aap k pass Canadian ya American Passport hai aur agar aapko waha 20-25 AED ki job ya accha business hai toh woh jagah se behtar jagah nhai hai to enjoy life and also most of the countries close hai waha se to travel. And mujhe ek din bhi waha aise garmi mei ghumna nahi pada, unless we have some work, like Canada mei snow hai but you don't go out unnecessarily....Right ? Toh bas waisa hee hai. \n\nBaaki ek bohot hee accha pod cast guys. Sarey dekhe Maine, ek woh couple Jo Canada chod kar Jaa rahe they , ek Raman ji jinhone apna empire set up kar diya and ek Parents Jo Canada rehna pasand nahi karenge aur ek Sana & Ashar Jo apni ek nayi shuruwat karne Canada aye hai ?\n\nKeep up the good work and guys and more podcast to go on your channel .\n\nAur Sana & Ashar bhai ka channel bhi subscribe karna toh banta hai ??\n\nRegards\nVasim - India
